1 PRICELESS Got some time off after the disaster at Pocono, so she probably needed it. Mare has a ton of back class, so it’s just a matter of time until Team Orange Crush get her rolling again. This is pretty good spot, IF she’s ready.
2 SHOULDABEENATD Like #1, also enters as a bit of a question mark. That break down at Philly scares me. But, at this lower level, she’s supposed to be more effective. Good post. Likely to be stalking in good spot before pouncing.
3 PANSY’S IMAGE Recent form at all tracks just doesn’t look sharp. So, she has to be considered a longshot.
4 WATCH MY LUCK Scooted up to Massachusetts for a couple tries and that didn’t work out. Finds way back south and into a softer situation. I could make a case for a wakeup call kind of effort. Somebody has to step up in here.
5 UPTOWN LADY N I don’t think I’ve ever guessed right on this lass, so I’ll wish you luck. Beat up on much weaker over at Pocono and takes the big step back up. Those confidence builders help. She could step up with more here.
6 IDEATION HANOVER Got a month off, after the scratch. So, she needed some time and some work. She’s used to facing a bit lesser than this, but this bunch is full of question marks. An impossible race to handicap.
7 CHUPPAH ON Chuppah pulled a pretty big upset a few starts ago. Then she flashed some newfound early speed last time. So, she’s deceptively sharp. Figures to offer the right price. Will have to find a way to overcome the post.
8 BLONDE ONTHE BEACH The lone filly in here, vs older. She’s missed a few weeks too! That worries me from this barn. It’s also first bad post in a while. I guess I have more knocks than plusses. Your call, folks?

1 MEAN IRENE Seems to have rounded into slightly better form of late, but that 0-21 record this year sticks out like sore thumb. That’s hard to go against! Troy B will look to sit, save ground and try to get lucky late. Maybe.
2 SILVER TAIL It’s never easy to try and translate form from other tracks to here. Case in point right here. Several of her recent efforts are good enough to win this. But, she does have a little something to prove here. Scotty will get her trip.
3 STREAK THE LAWN Barn’s got two in here and they’re both medium longshots. First start back off a year layoff, so I think she’s going to need a race or two. I will go with that until proven otherwise.
4 CANDY PAINT Enters off a scratch, and a slate of dull efforts. Very hard to make a strong case for. Pass.
5 LOUD BRAZILIAN The younger half of the stablemates. Set a pretty solid pace over at Yonkers before getting a little tired near the end. Her speed sticks out here and she might jump up with a good one. Has raced here before.
6 PENNY GIRL Doing pretty good work at a smaller venue. How will that do here? Good question, and I really don’t have the answer yet. I want to watch one over the Big M strip.
7 NORTHERN STORM By all rights, she should just crush these. Way too much back class, and prior success over this oval. Yes, I see she hasn’t raced in a few weeks, but I can’t control that. Finds a very nice, soft spot, even from the post.

1 THISISSHE The lone mare in here has been bouncing up and down the class ladder all season, but with nine wins to her credit! That’s not bad. I’m not convinced she’s at best on big track, but will give it another go. Rail helps.
2 STORMONT VENTNOR The Cullipher Crew seems to have a hammer lock on this one, with the two favorites. They listed Tetrick on both, so you see who he chose. They both step up off wins. Another solid acquisition.
3 CHIPLOSIVE We’ve seen this guy turn in many a good effort here in the past. Returns off a confidence booster over at Pocono and seems to have found his form again. That spells trouble for the rest. Inner post a big plus too!
4 MANHATTANUP NO ICE On the comeback trail after a little time off. He probably needed it. Also has some decent history here, with speed. Not sure he’s fully primed and ready, but if not now, soon. Take a good, long look.
5 INAPERFECTWORLD Broke both here, and up north. That’s not good. Have to consider him a longshot now.
6 ZLATAN I have guessed right on this fella before. Enters off a very good try where he fired out strongly and enjoyed a good trip. That is the blueprint for success here. But, he will have to deal with two Cullipher horses drawn inside.
7 TOP FLIGHT ANGEL I really don’t know what to do with this guy. I was at Freehold that day and he made a decent move, but eventually flattened out. Is this easier spot? Perhaps. But, it’s another outer post. Maybe no price?
8 LIVE WELL LIVED He’s got speed too! And, he drops a little in my opinion. I wouldn’t be shocked if he took a shot and blasted out. I don’t see him sweeping these from the back. So, demand a fair price if you take the chance.

1 FRANKIE ROCKS A Pretty wide open race here, and Frankie has big post edge on the other favorites. He likes to stalk and finish, but will have to stay out of trouble. Demand at least a fair price if you hop on board this boat.
2 ROCKIN RAMBARAN Very hard to get a real read on his form right now. That last one down at Freehold from the rail is not a good-looking line. He will have to find much more punch than that to get any closer here.
3 DEO GALILEO Not exactly going great guns up at home base. So, they put him the truck, sent him south and add a claiming tag. Wakeup calls are very hard to predict, but you never know in a race like this.
4 SAULSBROOK LANNY I see scratches. I see bad posts. There’s not a lot to go on here. A longshot to me.
5 MAY I CRUISE WEST After a decent run a few months ago, it seems like he’s tailed off. I do like the midpack post for him, but would need to see a good one again before I could consider. Remember, he rarely wins.
6 KING OF HEROES N Another one on the comeback trail. Not a lot of starts last two seasons. That’s not good.
7 MR D DUFF Takes a little hike up the Trackmaster scale tonight. And, a switch to the big track. A lightly-raced 3YO, so there’s probably a good backstory here. Mr. Cano acquired him somehow. Might be a fit for a field like this.
8 I AM GOLDEN Has about the same win record as #5, but Golden has the better chance. Has recently rounded into better form over at Pocono and pilot might be perfect fit. I’m not in love with the post, but will use anyway.
9 STATESMAN N Entering the twilight of his incredible racing career. That was a gritty and gutsy win down at Freehold and this vet handles any size track. Won a few times here earlier this year. Very clearly the one to beat despite post.
10 BIG SWEEP OSBORNE Exited the claimers into this level Trackmaster race and dominated. But, what do we do from post 10, showing no early speed at all? I think he’ll have too far to come.

1 SPEED AWAY Found that nice field of his friends out in Lexington to grab a win. Got a little tired on the lead down at Philly, so I don’t think we’ll see him cutting this one. Needs that special sit-in and stalk kind of trip to hit ticket.
2 RATTLE MY CAGE He fought tenaciously to win the Red Mile race. It was a major bounce-back for him. They took a shot and threw him into the Crown elims and that did not work out. Back to reality here, plus post edge on #9.
3 AP HALL OF TRIX They slapped the hopples on this fella last time and he did stay on gait. But, not fast enough.
4 CARUSO Will either brush and crush the field, or make another mistake. It’s pretty tough to get any betting value on him in spots like this. You are really taking your chances, hoping he will stay trotting. At least he starts in decent post.
5 SHINKANSEN Been plying his trade on, or near the lead down at Philly. Red decides to bring him back here. He’s had a couple good one, and a couple bad ones. I know he’ll be showing speed, but I don’t know if he can last all way.
6 CALLE PALEMA Hopes have been high for this guy along the way, but it hasn’t worked out yet. That miscue in the stakes is disappointing. I’d want a very big price to consider using him again.
7 BROOKROAD MASTER Picked up a check at huge odds in his Big M debut, so that’s not bad. Something to build on, and Scotty Z knows the horse now. I’m not in love with a tougher post, but he has check chances again.
8 REDWHITE N GOO By same sire as Hambo Champ. We don’t see too many Googoo’s here. This is dangerous barn when they show up here. They listed Dave M, but didn’t get him. Lightly-raced. Interesting spot for a 3YO.
9 LOCATELLI He’s been pretty hard to gauge all season and it will be game-time decision here. I hate the post. He’s not exactly a prime-time gate leaver either. I guess I’ll take my chances with inside rivals.
10 M DIDDY She’s tried the big track before and it didn’t work out back then. I will let her beat me, if she can.

1 COOL PAPA BELL That was a deceptively good elim try! He finished up with plenty of good trot and got even luckier with the rail draw again. Hoping for similar, trouble-free journey and he can pick up a piece of this at the end.
2 TESTING TESTING I just love the way this fella has come along this season for George D. To me, he keeps getting better and better. Dave Miller had a tough choice in here, opting for #6. I actually prefer this one. A Mac on!
3 BRANDED BY LINDY Simply put, I think this guy is a monster! I’ve loved everything I’ve seen from him, first step on the track. The wins in Lex were easy. His elim was easy. Yannick is very high on him too! Very much the one to beat. Trainer: We always thought he was a nice colt. Just a few early issues. He got stronger when we went to Lex. He is making our job much easier. I was very happy with how he handled the elimination.
4 REBUFF Has rounded into top form quite nicely for Lucas W. He’s got a nice fit with Tetrick in the bike too! That trip worked out nicely last week, but he finished powerfully. Will hope the faves “mix it up” a little. Could storm home. Trainer: He was very talented right from the beginning. But, he was very, very green. We raced him from behind, and it’s starting to pay off. We’ve trained him twice since getting back from Lex and he feels good.
5 GIGONDAS Came roaring home right behind Rebuff last week. Not bad! He got a lot better in Lexington, so he’s on the right trail at moment. Would need another ideal journey, but anything can happen in a Crown race. Remember!
6 DOUBLE DECEIVER Off to great start in his career too! And, having Dave Miller’s vote is a major plus. I do think the horse is best at stalking and finishing, so the trip will be critical. It will NOT be easy to catch #3. Tough call. Trainer: Dave drove him good and he finished up really good. Was full of trot at the wire, and that’s what we were looking for.
7 TEMPORAL HANOVER Ended up in a pretty good spot in last week’s elim. Just didn’t have the same punch as Lex. This post makes things quite interesting. I see a few dedicated “closers,” so this might be spot to blast again. Your call?
8 DULY RESOLVED Kind of had things his own way in Big M debut last week, but proved no match come crunch time. Did not get any love from the post gods tonight, so that’s a problem too! Will just have to come up with more now.
9 MAJESTIC J Flew home in his last two, but this post looks like a real problem. Might need a miracle kind of trip.
10 FAST AS THE WIND I don’t think we’ve seen his best yet, and this looks like impossible spot. Will have to get lucky.
7 Seventh Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 GOTTHEGREENLIGHT Had her win streak snapped in last week’s elims. She was in a good spot too! Just wasn’t her best finish coming home. Moves back to rail where she can fire and protect. In line for a decent trip tonight.
2 CAPTAIN COWGIRL Never really fired a big shot in the elim. I expected a little more from her. Oh well. Switches to Dave Miller here and he’s shocked us before. The key for her is the inner post. Will be closer to the setup. Maybe.
3 GALLERIA HANOVER Another that never really tired last week, so I have to keep her on the longshot list.
4 TREACHEROUS DRAGON Overcame the horrible post to make it into the final, so that’s a good thing! Gets a much better post to navigate here. And the pace scenario of this one is very unclear. IF the flow is right, watch out late.
5 QUEEN OF SUCCESS That was SOME trip and drive that A Mac put on this filly last week! She was plenty good too! I think we can safely guarantee the gas pedal out of the gate again. After that, she would love to stalk. No 23-1 now. Trainer: She’s hit a few bumps in the road, but she’s coming back to what we thought. She didn’t get over the Mohawk track too well. She was super in elim here.
6 DONT FENCE ME IN The Alagna Armada got three into this final, so congrats on that! They opted for the “bye” on this lass and she qualified instead. Looked good too! Loses Dexter again, as expected. Still packs a big chance. Trainer: She qualified and was very good. Years ago, I didn’t take the bye, and horse made break. She’s matured a lot over year.
7 NIKI HILL Suffered her first career defeat last week, but let’s not be too hard on her. If anything, that takes some of the pressure off. Draws same post as last time, so Dexter will have to get her rolling in time. Pounces with more? Trainer: They’re all beatable. She’s very good. We didn’t want to get beat. That wasn’t the idea at all. It’s not over yet.
8 LYONS SERENITY Also took the “bye.” Barn’s has a pair in here, but they’re both medium longshots. This Lyons gets a new driver, but from a very bad post. Might need a few things to go her way to have check chances.
9 BOUDOIR HANOVER She got a little sick out in Kentucky, so that never helps. Seemed like her mission last week was to just get around there and make the final. Got no love from the post gods. I guess I’m leaning against tonight.
10 SEA SILK Gets hammered with the worst post here. Like Niki, lost for the first time last week. I do wonder what the plan is, from way out here. That will probably be the key to the early pace battle. They’re not grabbing up, taking back.

1 VALENTINA BLU Another that got a little sick out in Kentucky, so it makes us wonder about current form. She was good enough to earn her way into the final. Did well in the New York final. Rail and A Mac at a huge price. Maybe.
2 SELFIE QUEEN Set the pace last week and ended up no match for Lexis. Still, it’s been a solid season for the well-bred lass and Scotty Z gets along with her well. Inside post a plus, to go along with that speed. Plots for good stalking trip.
3 LILBITALEXIS Man was she good last week! Wow! Gets the prime-time rematch with #5 and that should be something to see when they hook up. Slight post edge, but that won’t matter. Nifty has a nice pair in here. Watch out! Trainer: She got a good trip and it worked out nice. Her best quality is speed. She’s just flat-out fast. Good gaited.
4 DELILAH HANOVER Launched a big move last week, only to flatten out a touch. I was hoping for more. Gets another midpack post to wait for the flow. Will just have to hope that the faves soften each other up a bit. That can happen.
5 RAISED BY LINDY I’ve been as impressed with this lass, as I am with her stablemate Branded. Yannick calls her a little “quirky,” so let’s hope that doesn’t get in the way. At what point will YG pull the trigger? Early again? Or wait?
6 JIGGY JOG S Very quietly doing very good work lately. She’s rounded into good form and seems versatile. Last time she had an outer post, she had tough trip in the Doherty. I do wonder about good trip potential tonight. Your call?
7 EBBIES LADY Looks like one of the longshots in here, especially with an outside post. Needs things to go her way.
8 BRICKHOUSE BABE I guess we can make the case that she’s tailed off just a touch? Didn’t really fly home like she did earlier. I hate this post for her! Would need to turn it around in a very big way to pull off the massive upset.
9 JAYA BAE I love the way this filly is coming along. But, I HATE this post tonight. Sears really likes her, but ended up taking the speedier #10. I can’t blame him for that. Big future ahead, but maybe not tonight coming from last. Trainer: She raced tremendous! She was a lot quieter than second week of Lex. She was perfect steering-wise and fin strong.
10 JOVIALITY S Hasn’t done anything wrong all year. She packs wicked speed, which I expect to see tonight. It’s the only way into the race when you start from post 10. Sears does stick, but I’m sure it was a tough choice. Still needs a trip. Trainer: She always races good. It was very slow fractions and they sprinted home fast. She did too! Very happy w/her.

1 GENTLE GIANT The Brown barn got ALL three into tonight’s final and that’s an accomplishment. The Giant will get a new driver tonight, but the pole position should guarantee the speedy colt a good trip. He’s a longshot, but w/a shot.
2 MONTE MIKI The Metro Monster really showed me something last week. Definitely no fluke, and he’s the real deal. Proved he could do some work on the lead, and fought off the big fave, Hank. Will he try and steal away from Pebble?
3 PEBBLE BEACH He can flat out FLY when you only have to use him once. We saw that in action last week, and earlier here this year. T Mac has been a perfect fit and it’s all about pace and the trip. From this post, it should work out nicely. Trainer: I was happy with him. He seems to pull up once he gets to the front. Once he got fighting, he kicked on again.
4 SIX FEET APART Of the Brown-trained trio. Dave Miller decided on this one. That’s a very key choice! I’ll admit I didn’t see that type effort coming last wk, but he earned it the hard way. Outmuscled the “steam horse,” #7. Follow #3?
5 I DID IT MYWAY Snuck his way into the final with a fairly good finish. He’ll be waiting for the flow. Must get lucky.
6 GULF SHORES He HAS to be the key to the early pace battle, at very least. Whereas Pebble wants to follow early, Gulf will have to use that speed. Gets another new pilot in Yannick. And it’s not because they’re taking back. Full send, baby! Trainer: Dave said to open his bridle. He thinks he would have went right through. We got a good post with all of them.
7 BEACH GLASS It’s not that he raced “badly” last week, but I guess we were all hoping for something more. With that acclimating mile here under his belt, will we see more in the tank tonight? IF he blasts, it’s right into the teeth of others. Trainer: We get to fight another day. He was quite worked up, didn’t want to relax. It’s a big ask, but I’m happy w/him.
8 HAMMERING HANK Hank didn’t pay off on that 3-5 promise last week, but it’s not like he raced badly either! He’s shown he can overcome tough posts before, but that’s the test for tonight. How does he get into it in time?
9 TRUE BLUE LINDY I thought he was just okay last week. The move from pole to post nine is an absolute killer.
10 EARLY ACTION When asked, Holloway said “Sears will just have to figure it out.” Meaning from post 10. I do not envy that task. As much as I love his work this year, the gelding will have his work cut out from this horrible spot.

1 GOOD ROCKIN This is one tough customer when he’s in the right position. The pole can be a bit tricky for him, but he’s also shown speed before. Not really sure how this one’s going to play out, but don’t be too quick to toss.
2 EXPLOIT That was a markedly improved effort last week, even if he hung a little at the end. A step in the right direction, and it’s been a long road this year. Gets additional class relief and might have more in tank tonight.
3 BECHERS BROOK A Seems to be doing decent work, wherever he goes. He has beaten better than this in the past. Tetrick back in bike tonight and he gets along with this guy well. Could be sleepy longshot kind of play.
4 ROCKATHON I guess we have to consider him the longshot tonight. I’d be surprised if he beat this bunch.
5 HURRIKANE EMPEROR It’s taken a LONG time to get this guy back to the races. Yes, his finest moment came right here a year ago. Had an excellent qualifier and then a hardy first start back. Should also have more in tank tonight.
6 DE LOS CIELOS DEO They tried him in the big claimer once and that didn’t work out. Back to reality here. Yannick had to make tough choice and took the millionaire instead. I probably would have done the same. Good luck to both.
7 DORSODURO HANOVER He’s only made four starts so far this year, so I was a little surprised to see him in the Crown elim. Has he ever raced in a low condition like this? Very hard to ignore against the likes of these. Your call?
8 B LIKE CRUISER Cruiser has been bouncing up and down the ladder lately. With some success. But, do you really think he can beat the likes of #2,5,7? I don’t. Especially from an outer post.

1 OUTWIT OUTRUN All in all, that was a pretty good first step onto the track. Yes, he got outhoofed final yards, but was probably green in trying to race on lead. Let’s see what he can do with a follow trip. Eventually, he’ll be okay.
2 COLBY JACK The way this driver/trainer combo is going right now, you better take a long look here. Not every horse they bring down from Mass can get it done here, but I like the confidence builder. This is BIG step up. Maybe.
3 CODE CRACKER Just hasn’t had a good year, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. A longshot.
4 ATLAS HANOVER They’ve aimed pretty high with this guy all season. He’s just not as good as the top colts, that’s all. This is ideal spot back to reality and I think he’ll step up and deliver more. I’m counting on it! Class relief helps.
5 LET’SFLYTOGETHER N He’s had a couple of spins here, and I guess he will need a little more experience before learning his speed. I will be watching for it.
6 PRAYFORTHEWICKED No, I don’t know what happened on 9/11, but it wasn’t good. Tony gave him a month off after that and the follow-up qualifier was okay. Paced fast enough. Don’t be shocked if he steps up with more. The 3YO.
7 VELOCITY GATOR Looks like new barn in play? Ohio invader had some good efforts out there. Stablemate to Charlie May will be rooting on his buddy tomorrow. I do see some speed. And I do see who they listed. Sign of good intent.
8 SPINNAKER HANOVER Pretty hard to like from way out here. Likely to get away last and that won’t work.
9 MIDNIGHT REBEL Making first start for new barn and that always makes you think. Is he ready? Will he be better? The scratch line gives a bit of pause. But, we will have to take a good, long look at him out on the track.

1 ANNABELLE HANOVER Pretty wide open field here, and it seems like they all have good ability. At end of the day, this does look like a step up for Annabelle. She will have to prove it against a very good group. Demand fair price.
2 MAJOR OCCASION A Not exactly in super sharp form right now, so that’s a problem. But, last time she raced here, she won. Loves this track. I’m not sure what price I’d accept to use her, but no short price. Must turn it around big.
3 BETALADY It seems like she’s hiked her way too high in class now. No real factor last few in PA. Back to Club Med. She does have good history here, but she was not Tetrick’s choice. That did not surprise me.
4 SO MIKI HANOVER There are two talented 3YO’s in here, but they will have to prove themselves against older foes. This lass has been putting on quite a speed show out of town. Very interesting spot to try the big track. Captain on!
5 OAKWOODANABELLA IR Couldn’t possibly have been more impressive since she landed in North America. Took on the toughest and lived to tell about it. Looks like good, strong filly that might even be better on a big track like this.
6 LOVELY DONNA Poor Donna gets stuck in a brutal spot from this post. She seems to be in career form right now, but it will take a giant effort to beat the faves. Maybe she’s capable. Maybe not, from this post.

1 BANK SEA They drop the price again and it’s a curious move. He’s won for this tag before. I won’t hold the eight-hole race at Yonkers against him. He likes this track better. The rail allows Luke to do whatever he wants. Dangerous.
2 PROLOGUE I’m not really sure where they’re at with this horse either. Couple months off and a miscue in first start back. That’s not good. I guess I just want to watch one here. To see if he belongs.
3 FLOW WITH JOE Maintains longshot status with only one decent race lately. I will need to see a lot more.
4 MAYFIELD DUKE Gets tabbed as the morning line favorite, due to two straight strong wins. The ship back to Club Med will give him more of a test, but he’s handled that before. The Duke will leave and try to control this one.
5 WINNING LINC It took a drop to the $10K level to get him back in the winner’s circle. It was a gritty and gutsy win too! Those things stick out. He’s won here before. This is the perfect post. And Tim T sticks around for the drive.
6 MR MCDREAMY Doesn’t deliver the goods too often. He’s hard to handicap most times. We just have to guess. It is a transition to claimers, though. Wakeup calls are hard to predict, so I’ll just wish you luck if you bet.
7 PANTHEON HANOVER They’ve taken a few swings with him recently and he hasn’t gotten the job done. I have to rate him a bit of a longshot tonight, but I do see who the Dream listed to drive. The Dex! Sign of positive intent.
8 STAR SPEAKER It would be tough to get excited about Star’s chances from this post. Needs a big turnaround.
9 ROCKNROLL CAPTAIN Does not see to be loaded with any early speed, so he looks like a pass from post nine.
10 PARKLANE JET Can he leave at all? I guess we’re going to find out. This is the lowest tag he’s seen in a while, so I don’t see them grabbing up and taking back to last. Made it all the way up to Open level at Running Aces. H’mmm.
