FOREST HEIR TAKES WEDNESDAY NIGHT FEATURE AT BIG M East Rutherford, N.J...Forest Heir made every pole a winning one in taking the featured $24,000 maiden special weight race at the Meadowlands on Wednesday night. Trained by Ben Perkins, Jr. and ridden by Tommy Turner, Forest Heir covered the six furlongs in 1:10 2/5 and paid $13.60. It was three lengths back to runner-up Seattle Slammer who completed a $50 exacta and bested Impressive Honour by another four lengths. The win was the first in two tries for the two-year-old colt by Forest Wildcat who now has lifetime earnings of $14,700 for the New Farm.
