ICEY JET STAR TAKES TUESDAY FEATURE AT BIG M
East Rutherford, N.J...Icey Jet Star rallied strongest of all down the center to the track to capture the featured $30,000 maiden special weight race at the Meadowlands on Tuesday night. Trained by Manny Berrios and ridden by Felix Ortiz, Icey Jet Star covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:12 and paid $21. It was 3/4 of a length back to runner-up My Fresh Prospect who completed a $229.60 exacta. Twilight Interview rounded out the top three. The win was the first in as many tries for the two-year-old gelding by Jessie Jet who now has career earnings of $18,000 for owner Menotti Lembo.
