Trained by Gary Contessa and ridden by Jose Martinez, Jr., Twilights Prayer covered the mile and 70 yards over a firm turf in 1:40 2/5 and paid $22.20. It was a head back to runner-up Missed Dues who completed a $115.20 exacta besting Knockessy by another head. The win was the first in two tries for the daughter of Allen's Prospect who now has lifetime earnings of $14,400 for owner Raymond T. Sheerin.
