THOMASINA TAKES THURSDAY FEATURE AT BIG M East Rutherford, N.J...Thomasina rallied strongest down the center of the racetrack to capture the featured $26,000 allowance race at the Meadowlands on Thursday night. Trained by Alan Goldberg and ridden by Chuck C. Lopez, Thomasina covered the mile and 70 yards in a race switched from the turf to the fast main track in 1:42 4/5 and paid $6.60. It was one length back to runner-up Family Time who completed a $24.40 exacta and bested show horse Splashing Rose by another length. The win was the second in three career starts for the three-year-old filly by Red Ransom, who now boasts lifetime earnings of $31,110 for owner Jayeff B Stable.
