PROSPECT'S HOUDINI WINS WEDNESDAY FEATURE AT BIG M East Rutherford, N.J...Prospect's Houdini out-gamed Dream Man to the wire to capture the featured $24,000 maiden special weight race at the Meadowlands on Wednesday night. Trained by Bessie Gruwell and ridden by Juan Umana, Prospect's Houdini covered the mile and sixteenth over a firm turf course in 1:41 1/5. It was two lengths back to runner-up Dream Man who completed a $23.20 exacta. Wart rounded out the top trio. The win marked the first in nine tries for the son of Magic Prospect, who now boasts lifetime earnings of $27,690 for owner D L S Thoroughbreds, Inc.
