CURIOUS TRESURES TAKES EGRET STAKES AT BIG M East Rutherford, N.J...Curious Treasures angled to the outside for the drive and ran down favorite Desert Sky to win the featured $45,000 Egret Stakes by a neck on Saturday at the Meadowlands.
 
Trained by Timmy Hills and ridden by Chuck C. Lopez, Curious Treasures covered the five furlongs over a yielding turf course in :57 4/5 and paid $6.60. Desert Sky completed a $14.20 exacta and bested third place finisher Jera by a neck.
 
The win was the fourth in 11 lifetime tries for the three-year-old filly by Concorde's Tune who now boasts career earnings of $107,830 for owner Lawrence Foggle.
