1 First Race Entries
Picks: 3-6-4-7

1 MOOSHKA STRIDE Not sure why, but she went to running behind the gate for no apparent reason. Gets another chance here with Tetrick back aboard. He got along with her well back in June/July. Take long look out on track.
2 AIR QUOTE HANOVER Just missed in a blanket finish over at Pocono, and that was a big bounce back after the miscue. She's yet to try the big track, but certainly has the pedigree for it. Yannick ends up here over #6..
3 MEGADOLCE Took a solid run at Dab last week and was rebuffed. Note how well she did hold her ground, however. That's always a plus and this filly has been good all along. Very hard to leave off the ticket tonight.
4 LIVE LAUGH LOVE Barn's other filly in here has been much more of a project. Probably dealing with that bout of sickness last month, and those things will happen. Watch for another off the pace trip and good, steady rally.
5 GLIDE ONIN SABRINA Hasn't really come to her speed just yet. Sometimes it takes a while. This race figures to go a little too fast for her, so I will pass and see if she is quick enough. A lot to prove against these.
6 VENUS DUHARAS She's been good right from the start too! Have to respect that strong early speed and if she ever develops the late kick, she'll be a very nice filly. A tad outfinished last week, but she gets another chance here. Trainer: Raced good last start, but getting better.
7 FOLLOW STREAK Most experience in field, with seven starts. Has gradually come to her natural speed and graduated nicely in last start at Pocono. The big knock here is the post. Might have to come from a bit too far back tonight.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 1-7-5-4

1 LINDY'S BIG BANG Gelding chased a standout last week and kept up well. That foe isn't in here, and this guy has the rail to go along with his speed. Probably the one to catch and one to beat tonight at potential short price.
2 GLIDE IN THE WIND Outraced his odds to pick up a check last week and it was a pretty good effort! Draws a key inside post with the main speed on rail. In line for another sit-in trip and hopes to keep up. Maybe he can.
3 CHAS HANOVER Was improving nicely for Hall of Fame trainer until that last miscue at Philly,. We haven't seen him here yet, so take a good, long look at him out on the track. Have to respect connections. Might like the big track.
4 WITH PRESENCE Also coming along nicely, and finds his way back to the big track. Baby raced well here in late July with a big late kick. Likely using similar strategy. Hoping for somebody to soften up #1 and then launch the move.
5 TRAK Never really had a chance from the bad post last week, but I must note he was trotting strongly through the lane. Kind of in the same boat as #4, with that off the pace move. If things set up, expect a big kick. Any price?
6 PATENT LEATHER Son of Broadway Hall has been in some tough spots lately, but he's got a little power! That win at Pocono last month was a big, big effort. He did show some speed that one time. Will need it, to get involved early. Trainer: This colt has a lot of horse and he loves to race!
7 CRIME FIGHTER Could very well be the key to the race! After some slowish starts early on, he did leave the gate last time at Philly. Homebred by Chapter Seven liked Club Med in July. I'd be willing to take a chance if price was right.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 6-5-1-7

1 DEFIANTSNOWFASHION Homebred filly for Jules and Jim is pretty good when she wants to trot. The hopples went on two back and she raced well both times. Plots for a very nice trip from the rail, possibly stalking Dab. Lots to like.
2 ALTAR GAL She's got speed too! But, she's in against a much tougher field tonight. Not even sure she'll be able to step around #1, so that's a problem. Yet to try the big track, so let's see if that picks up her game. A maybe.
3 SAMIS ROLIN STONE Retains longshot status, having been no threat to these types yet. Have to pass.
4 STRENGTH OFA WOMAN Lot of people liked this filly last week and she was a tad sluggish early, before making a break. Obviously, that's not a good thing and I'd be hesitant to try her again. Need to see a good one first.
5 DAB HANOVER Been rock solid for Team Takter since that breakout win back in July. Regained her confidence with a very strong, down the road effort last week. Might get a bigger test here from #1 or #7, but I respect that speed! Trainer: Couldn't be happier with last start.
6 SEVIYORUM Interesting filly here. Can't really fault her and she was good enough to make the PA final. Had a tough trip, so we can excuse that. If you want to try a solid closer, this may be your bet. Hoping faves mix it up a little.
7 SEVEN KARATS Looked like she was home free last week and got a little lonely on the lead. That can happen. Tetrick back aboard now, but from a tough post in a good field. Shows the odd mistake. Won't offer big price. Your call? Trainer: Has talent, but we are working through a few issues. Much improved last week.
4 Fourth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 ROCKAPELO Outmuscled last couple by Manverick in New York, but this gelding has been good right from the get-go! Homebred gelding for Enviro Stables transitions to NJ and mile track, but he liked Vernon. Good fight with #5
2 POWERFUL CELL Hasn't quite come to his top speed just yet. Best asset here is the post, so he can simply sit in, save ground and try to keep up. I'm not so sure he has the stamina just yet. I will wait.
3 FASHIONONTHEBEACH Pretty good so far. Maybe we can knock his lack of "winning habit?" I like that he seems versatile, to go on, or off the pace. Would be very hard to leave off the ticket in underneath spots. Very usable.
4 WINSTON Looked a little "hot on the bit" last week for Corey, so check to see if any equipment changes were made. No doubt the colt has talent, and speed, but it has to be controllable. That is the issue and question for tonight.
5 SOMEBADDUDE Really sharp effort last week. Chased a well-rated winner and made him work hard to hold. Love the way he's improved since those early baby races. He's learning the game and taking lessons well. Nice colt! Trainer: Dude has been getting a little better each start. This should be another step in that direction.
6 CLOSING BELL Flashed solid speed last week, being used hard to lead briefly. Got a little tired late, but that's easily understandable. There are a few other speedsters in here, so not sure what strategy will be. Tough call, tough post.
7 CALIFORNIA CRUISIN Loved him when he won here, back on Hambo eve. Had a rough go of it up in Canada against top stakes company. This is more back to reality, but the post is a killer. I don't see him blasting out. Too far to come?

1 U NEED STONES Couldn't possibly have won any easier last week. It was the perfect confidence builder for a nice matchup with the Met tonight. They both tried the Haughton and weren't bad. This could be good race tonight!
2 LINDYINOVERDRIVE Used early last week and paid the price a bit late. Chased a standout foe, but he's right back in against a few good ones again. In line to sit in, save ground and hope to get lucky late for a share. Possible.
3 MET'S HALL Very impressive when last seen here. Finally gets a break at the post draw, and he's going to need it to try and chase down Stones. I like his grittiness, and I think he's actually getting better. Good matchup coming.
4 MIDNIGHT EXPRESS S Hasn't been a match for these stakes types yet. Definitely a longshot tonight.
5 VOSS VOLO Tends to lag a bit early and that usually puts him up against it. I won't argue with his strong finishes, but the two faves finish well too! Hoping for some sort of mayhem to set up that kick. Stranger things have happened.
6 HELPISONTHEWAY Chapter Seven colt is slowly learning his lessons. Looks like he has a few issues at the start, so expect pilot to be a little careful with him. If he does get away at the back, it will be long road to track down the faves.
7 CRYSTAL FASHION Another that's probably getting over some sickness issues. I like the way he's bounced back and shown some talent. The bad post could be the killer here. Not sure how he can get a trip to threaten #1,3, but Tim did choose this fella over #6. Significant.

1 BORN TO BE BAD Homebred by Big Bad John made it all the way to Ohio Super Night and then got slammed with a brutal post. Easy to forgive that. Flashed wild speed before that, so the pole position gives Andy options. Nice horse! Trainer: Improving colt. Needs a little more. Had a good week.
2 WHATS HIS IS MINE Just okay last week in leg three. Lagged a bit early and then kicked in belatedly behind a heavily favored winner. That seems to be his game: belated rallies. So, let's expect the same for a minor share.
3 POINTS NORTH Really well-rated by Andy Mac to a dig-in win. I might even add a few points if Somebaddude won or did well in the fourth tonight. Don't see any reason why he can't control this again. Gets a good test from #1.
4 MANSOME Also not bad last week, with the transition to the mile track. It was a fast race, and that winner is an impressive colt. I guess it's a matter of whether he can go faster. This is no easy spot either, so demand price if like.
5 SHADOW CAT Barn's other starter had a similar race last week. Finished up okay, but it's going to take a lot more than that to track down the favorites. At least he bounced back with no miscues. On the right track now. Corey's pick.
6 SUDDENLY SAM Hasn't been a serious threat to these stakes types yet. Have to rate him a longshot again.
7 SURFING TIDE Hinted at some ability, with that 26 and change finish last week at long odds. Kind of stuck in same boat here, from an outside post. I can't guess if he might take a shot and fire out. That's only way into this one.
8 ROLLING WITH POWER Looks like the other longshot in here. We haven't seen enough from him yet. Pass.

1 PIRANHA FURY Seems to be coming around now for Nifty after a slowish start to her career. Sometimes it takes a while, and sometimes they get sick, etc. I'd be cautious, since last time she drew rail, she broke. Has ability.
2 MARIA DEO Another one that shows a sick scratch. Stablemate to #1 is likely on the slow and steady comeback trail, so let's see if she improves tonight. The inside post will help keep her close. Must add a kick to that arsenal.
3 MALMO Not sure she's fast enough for these stakes types at the moment. A lot to prove against these.
4 CHANEL ME Started that race well off the gate last week and didn't look very handy. With that said, I'd need to see a lot of improvement before I could bet. Check to see if any equipment changes made. They could help. Yannick too!
5 BASQUIAT Uncorked a wild rally last week to get up at the wire. That was impressive, and you have to like her versatility shown so far. Can leave. Can wait. But, the talent is there and she won't be 5-1 this time. One to fear. Trainer: Couldn't be happier with last start.
6 HEY BLONDIE I still remember her strong winning effort in the slop here in July. Beat a good one too! Made it to PA final and uncorked another strong kick. I guess it's all about pace and trip tonight. She's the one to watch late.
7 LOGETTA HANOVER Shows some slow starts. Shows some mistakes. Gets stuck with a bad post here. Not a lot to like for tonight's purposes.
8 MEADOWBRANCH PATSY Also looking like a longshot, after that disastrous effort at the Meadows. Maybe she tied up or was sick? Either way, she'll need a huge bounce back effort to get into the hunt tonight.

1 BETTER THAN HAPPY Pretty good down at Philly to graduate and take a mark. It was a slow last quarter, however, so I am a bit skeptical. There are 53-ish pacers in here, so she will have to go a lot faster. Usually has to prove it.
2 SOLITARY Sat right behind the winner last week and was outkicked home. Still, it was a positive effort, and this well-bred filly has been good since day one. Have to love her speed and ability so far. Definitely one to fear, as Dave's pick.
3 REIGN ON ME Ended up with a pretty good trip last week and simply got outkicked home late. No problem. She also has been good since the start of baby races and I've loved her kick home most times. Dave did opt for #2, though.
4 LADY DUDETTE The bad post and slow start cost her any chance in the Big M debut. This post is a lot better, and she certainly proved she's fast enough with that solid rally. I expect her to be in better position for shot at the upset.
5 ELLA IS AWESOME Seems to be a slow starter too! That never helps in these very fast races. I expect her to be out and grinding at some point, and we'll see if she packs the punch to be a threat. Will offer a nice price, if you fancy.
6 MISWAVE HANOVER Regressed into another mistake last week, so we'll have to take a pass for now.
7 ACT LIKE A DIVA Been plying her trade in New York and Maryland and doing very well! Sold for over $80K as a yearling, so she must look good. Anxious to see if she adapts to the big track. In good hands and I expect speed.
8 BLUE GROTTO Was looped leaving the gate and ended up parked the mile, so that's legitimate excuse. Showed plenty of ability last time we saw her here. I guess the problem tonight is the post! How does she get into it?

1 DOVER DONY Sports two straight breaks, so it's back to the drawing board here. A longshot on rail.
2 STORY TIME HANOVER Acted up a little behind the gate last week and then suffered a very tough trip. I would say we haven't quite seen the best of him yet, but he will get better. The pedigree is just too good. Expect more.
3 CHUCKY DE VIE Wow, what a difference some experience makes! When we saw him here early summer, he had issues. Now, he's charging home and trotting strongly. That was super effort last week. Needs that again. Trainer: Very anxious colt that is doing well.
4 FARSETTI HANOVER Simply strolled around the racetrack to get second straight win. This colt has been good since the start and I like the way he relaxed and rated. A very good horse here, and a potential short price too!
5 MEADOWBRANCH RICKY Been towing along nicely of late. I don't see any knockout punches being delivered yet, so he's probably up against it vs. #4,7. Some speed would put him in the right spot. Needs more come crunch time.
6 FINAL DREAM Barn's other starter kind of looks the same. Not much zip, or kick. Did show some speed earlier and that's probably best weapon in here. Still have to rate him a longshot against couple of very talented colts.
7 FASHIONWOODCHOPPER Jim Campbell has this fella going strong now! Proved that the win on August 12 was NO fluke, by shocking them in the final! And that came after missing several weeks. How far back will he be? Catch #4? Trainer: Had a good week. This is his prep for Lexington.
8 POOF OF CREDIT Did not have a very good start last week, and that was from the rail after a slow start. Where's he going from this spot? Probably not far enough. Has to find a way to bounce back better.

1 ALDINE HANOVER Nice trip and drive from Marcus last week, but the filly really dug in late to show something! She has the rail now to aid that solid speed and her main foe is a bit "suspect." Clearly the one to catch if she rates.
2 AMERICAN Z TAM Hasn't really been a serious threat lately. I'm not quite sure she's in the same league with the likes of #1,4. Best asset here is the post. She can just sit in and follow #1 around. That would be ideal journey.
3 BLUSH Unraced since late August and showing a sick scratch. She's probably not ready for this. Longshot.
4 I'M TRIGGER HAPPY It's hard to describe that last race. She gapped badly almost all the way around and then suddenly found a wicked high gear and snuck through traffic to win. Talented, but obviously work in progress. Trainer: Thought she won in hand last week. Got a serious bottom of the mile to her.
5 SANDY'S BEACH She was used pretty hard last week and might have paid the price a bit late. That's second time she showed speed, and she'll need it again tonight. If she guns, could end up with ideal trip behind #1. That would work.
6 SHE SAID SO Here's the other possible "leaver." But, she has to prove she owns some mile track stamina. That was not the case last week. It's either that, or back to rally mode which worked well. A tough call for betting purposes. Trainer: Nice filly, but way too hot last week. Re-rigging will help.
7 KEYSTONE KRYSTAL No real threat last week in leg three. Gets stuck with another difficult post. May not be quite stakes caliber yet and I need to see it first.

1 PECORINO One of four two-year-olds in here. Didn't exactly excite me last week with a rail trip, and gapped out performance. I guess I'd need to see a lot more than that, before I could endorse. I'll go against for now.
2 PASSA-GRILLE BEACH Has come along nicely since that baby race effort here. The pedigree is impeccable and he cost $185K as a yearling. Barn has brought him along slowly, but that last win is a breakout. How good is he?
3 WHISPERING WITCH Got sick in May and needed some time off. It happens. Came back with okay qualifier down at Philly and will try the big track now. Barn shipped in a "live win" to win last week. Is this fella ready? Tim gets call.
4 FRANZ Now 0-17 and counting. I can't really consider him for a win spot, but he does grind along and keep up. Usable at a price in some of the underneath slots.
5 SCOTCH SOUR Another of the 2YO's that looks like a project horse right now. Let's see if he stays pacing.
6 JK WILDFIRE The Burke Brigade here with a very high-priced baby. That's kind of rare for them, but colt seems to be on the right track for now and I'm sure hopes are high. Legitimately stakes placed and likely favorite vs. these.
7 ASTON HILL DAVE Added Lasix last week and raced okay. Nobody was catching that winner and this fella didn't pack it in. So, that showed me something. Draws same tough post and will need an easier journey to get any closer.
8 YO APOLLO CREED Took a fairly decent run at that well-rated winner last week. Note, he didn't pack it in either! Not the easiest horse to drive. Marcus takes a turn. Chance to get closer against the 2YO's with a better trip.
9 NORTHERN SPY Has flashed speed at times, but perhaps not the stamina? The qualifier here wasn't bad, so maybe they're testing to see if he's a big track horse? I guess we'll find out tonight. The post certainly won't help.
10 BAG PIPE MAJOR Not a lot of good going on in this corner. Been sick. Draws bad posts all the time. I'll pass.
