H Horse Comment
1 LUCAN HANOVER Easy winner in series action two weeks ago and held his own versus tough NJSS foes. Takter, Jr. gets a live catch-drive.
1A MEETBEHINDTHEBARN Raced evenly in first leg behind Word Power. Only beaten three lengths in strong PASS split. Compliments stablemate.
2 ALWAYS THERE Was stuck behind a tiring Quik Magic on far turn last week. Figures to draft along up close from inside post.
3 LATE NIGHT JOKE Main danger to Lukan Hanover off blowout Stallion Series crush at Philly. Closed well off no chance trip in leg one.
4 MONTERO BLUE CHIP Son of Toscano trained Breeders Crown champ had no luck in two previous Big M tries but is 3 for 3 at Philly. Improving.
5 IMA GIGGITY FOOL Was three wide off the far turn and gained late chasing the unbeaten Word Power. On board in 15 of 20 starts this year.
6 QUIK MAGIC Tired badly after strong early speed last week. Previous efforts were strong. Factor if O.K.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 3-2-1-4
H Horse Comment
1 DHARMA INITIATIVE Towed along in Gaitway qualifier after a month off. Was facing tougher foes in prior Big M tries.
2 NATHANIEL B Decent career debut last week riding 2nd over cover and finishing evenly. Can build on that effort.
3 GRATIAS DEO First up far turn then back to rail last week behind heavily favored Mindset. Fits well with these.
4 ROCK N AHARD PLACE Followed along in first two Big M tries. No killers in here. Check chances.
5 ITSAHARDROCKLIFE Not sure what happened last when tiring badly. Potential share with best effort.
6 STIMULUS PLAN Flashed some minor late pace in stretch last week. Another that fits well in here.
7 BULLVILLE HONEY Just 1 for 22 lifetime and was a fringe player in Tioga non-winners of 2.
8 THISGUYSAROCKSTAR Counting the matinee at Goshen, he raced three times in 7 days. Has Speed but stamina is lacking so far.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 6-7-5-3
H Horse Comment
1 BEACHFRONT Steady performer for the Emperor can get off the wings in a heckuva hurry. Things to like.
2 LETS ROCK TOGETHER Thought this was going to be a nice colt earlier but has been flat in his last three despite adding Lasix.
3 STEUBEN PATRIOT Stuck in behind number 5 until deep stretch last week. Appeared to have some pace finishing once free.
4 ROCKAHOLIC A touch disappointing last week with little late kick. Shows some decent lines against tougher. Tough call.
5 ROCKY MOUNTAIN GUY Gutsy front-end score last week despite facing heavy pace pressure. Expect same strategy tonight.
6 TWINCREEKS JESSE Gets away from much stronger PASS competition where he’s held his own. Looks best on paper.
7 SEEK THE DRAGON Was torched first-over trying to run down #5 last week and didn’t tire that badly. Major player with easier trip.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 8-7-9-5
H Horse Comment
1 PARADISE STATION Ended up first-over in Big M debut and hung on for a piece. Has done some good work on smaller circuits in past.
2 PADRE MANUEL Just fair last week. Winless on the year in 18 tries but has often faced faced older experienced classified foes.
3 CAPITOL TRIP In the mix last week until the untimely break in deep stretch. Switches to Czermann barn. Chance.
4 THRU N THRU Tries the big track after following along in recent races. Hopes to trip out for a share.
5 SHARK TREASURE Off a month than added Lasix for that Gaitway qualifier where he chased a Rooney finalist in wild back half.
6 WORLD CUP CULLEN Parked early then was 2nd over last week in 2nd start for new connections. Things to like with that improvement.
7 BIG ART Has gate speed for good position and the horse that beat him last week would be odds-on in here. Major player.
8 ROCK ICON Drops out of the Summer Survivor Series and hinted at ability with solid Jr. Trendsetter efforts this winter.
9 AIRBURST HANOVER Gunned down similar last week in a soft back half but looked good doing it. Likes to wait, rate and rally.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 3-9-5-7
H Horse Comment
1 COOL RUNNINGS Left hard then made another move first-up past the half. Should have a much easier journey tonight.
2 BRANDON’S COLT Has had his moments at times usually at a big price. Lacks gate speed but can grind.
3 HIGH OCTANE N Major class relief tonight for this New-Zealand bred gelding. Draws inside main rivals as well.
4 GEORGETOWN N Also drops down in his 2nd start off a layoff. Sluggish and clogged badly last week. Needs more.
5 PALM’S BEACH Left well, then was locked and shuffled and blocked before shaking loose late with pace in a strong try.
6 ALLAMERICAN APACHE Another who was blocked in heavy traffic until late last out and closed well.
7 COME ON RIDGE Fanned out wide and fired home with a strong kick to just miss. Callahan barn solid all meet long and this level suits.
8 TYLER HANOVER No real shot in last two from the back. This is an easier spot plus picks up Carlson. Factor.
9 SIR ZIGGY’S Z TAM Completely taken out of the race last week behind a wall of gappers. In easier and can rally.
10 BLUE CLAW Gunned, tripped out and rallied inside to win last week. As Dave Brower would say Must Blast.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 8-3-1-7
H Horse Comment
1 BOLERO ANDREW Crushed twice versus C2 pacers before facing much tougher last week. This spot is right in his wheelhouse.
2 AVENUE HANOVER Has plenty of talent but hard to figure he’s fit off just one qualifier after seven months off. Tab for later.
3 BULLET SPEED Did some work first-over versus far better. Nice horse who can take air. Won at this level 5 back.
4 DAMON BLUE CHIP Nice job by Takter, Jr. last week sitting chilly despite being parked and getting the job done. Up in class here.
5 ALL MY LIFE This 12-year-old veteran always tries hard. Was in way too tough at Yonkers last out. Consistent.
6 PRINCE SHARKA Usually around and usually forwardly placed. Gimmick factor who always seems to go off at long odds.
7 DOUBLETROUBLE Never involved last week against a tougher group. Narrowly missed at this level in a huge effort in May.
8 PEMBROKE DEWEY Maine champion in 2012 has faced and beaten better here in the past. Likes to win plus gate speed.
9 FORENSIC Z TAM Veteran is in good form right now and has a ton of back class. Can he get involved from outside.
10 RELENTLESS DREAMER Has a relentless rally and the hotter the pace, the better he likes it. Rolls late.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 2-1-5-6
H Horse Comment
1 FOUR STARZ TWINS Loose pocket trip behind Blue Strike last week. Has early speed and sits close.
1A ESPRIT DE KAYJAY A Likes to rally but can win on the lead as we saw in the 1st leg. Solid entry.
2 ANDY BARAN Involved in that crazy early pace last week and understandably tired late. Blowout winner in 1st leg.
2A Long Live Rock The most talented hose in the race IF he’s healthy off the sick scratch. Dauplaise duo could lineup on the lead.
3 AVOGADRO HANOVER Picked up the pieces off that wild pace a week ago. Co-owner Berry drives him over stablemate. Rallier.
3A DASH N Nice win first-over in leg two but faces even faster foes tonight. Has speed but stuck outside.
4 BOX CAR JOHNNIE Another leg two winner who is a solid, consistent performer. Must avoid pace duel like June 1st start.
5 REDNECK OUTLAW All three starts this year have been strong. Room to move forward as well with little activity in past two years.
6 BLUE STRIKE Normally rallies but went right down the road for Manzi last week. Loves to win and tries hard.
7 AWESOME ARMBRO N Has shown signs of life in this series after a disappointing start 2013. Getting good at the right time.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 9-4-2-3
H Horse Comment
1 ELUSIVE REWARD Came 1st up into a fast pace and finished evenly. Follows along and hopes for the best late.
2 VAVOOMSTER Raced all right in both series legs. Bit shy in the win column but contends for a share.
3 BOBJACKS ANGLE A Followed the winner last out but couldn’t kick with him. Seems to do his best work from off the pace.
4 OVERNIGHT DELIGHT Hasn’t been the same since a strong 3-year-old season. Recent efforts put him close in here.
5 HE’S A BEACHBOY Raced evenly in his both series legs. 2013 winless streak a concern. Check chances.
6 DIGGERS REST N Had room late on the inside but no major pop. Another looking for trip.
7 CC RACY Was 2nd over, then came three wide at the 5-8ths with a strong bid. Much sharper in his last two starts.
8 ALA CARTE BILL fringe player from off the pace in both series legs. Same strategy likely tonight.
9 FREDDY DAY HANOVER Checked briefly behind a deuce-popper when moving to the lead. Can carry the mail with a smooth trip to the front.
10 UPFRONT COSMO Loomed late to make it close last week. Outside draw doesn’t help.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 1-9-3-6
H Horse Comment
1 HURRIKANE ANTHONY Better draw and easier rivals to deal with tonight. Stacey Chiodo does a nice job wither small stable.
1A KAUFMAN HANOVER Ginsburg opted here over stablemate. Dove inside and finished with good pace last week.
2 CITY PIE Broke when moving last out after a solid try in 1st leg. Outside shot in gimmicks at big price.
3 THANKS FOR STOPPIN Rebuffed on brush attempt. First inside draw in awhile and may try to go down the road.
4 TREY Another who has been just even here. Was close with Irish Joe driving versus weaker at Freehold.
5 S F LAW Left a ton and tired after involvement in wild fractions. Board shot with a trip if rateable.
6 LUCKY CADET Strong NYSS performer at age three has fallen upon hard times since. Shot with these in scramble at wire.
7 MASTERMAKER Hard to make a strong case for him off recent form. Capable of gate speed.
8 TOUGH LOVE Rebuffed on brush last week in aggressive try. Just 1 for 44 in last two years.
9 BIG PUFF DOGGIE No luck in the series legs but put in a solid effort versus claimers three backs. Like him for a share.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 9-10-5-1
H Horse Comment
1 CHROME CRUISER Caught a tough field in Big M start three back. Solid at Tioga and Takter, Jr. drive him in a qualifier.
2 JETTIN JUSTIN Lots of issues recently. Hard to gauge fitness with multiple gaps in schedule.
3 ALLAMERICAN CHIEF Had to have needed his last start off layoff and finished O.K. Slow comeback after missing 2012.
4 BANGBANGKISSKISS Another with recent health issues. Shows good gate speed at Rosecroft.
5 WHITTAKER Worked his way close last week against stronger rivals. Seems to be racing better without Lasix.
6 MILLIONDOLLARART Two comeback starts off layoff are dull plus he’s missed a month. Longshot.
7 BELL’S PANACEA Signs of life earlier this year but dull recently. Fringe player.
8 BEWARE OF DARKNESS Capable of gate speed but has not been finishing. Back on Lasix tonight which may help.
9 POP A TOP POP Used hard in his Big M debut and raced pretty well. Looks like a good spot. Post adds value.
10 PRESTISSIMO Has speed and also comes off a solid two-move effort. Spotted right if he can get involved.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 7-6-1-4
H Horse Comment
1 BREAKIN THE LAW Not as good as last year but connections must be respected. Horse is game and tried hard.
2 ON THE RADAR Two straight wins at Pocono. With top drivers out of town, Silva teams himself.
3 MAJOR BELLE Has had a solid season facing very good company. Took some air at Yonkers in middle half.
4 ALEX BULLVILLE Not a lot of luck at Pocono but we’ve seen some big miles from him here in the past.
5 LETTHEROCKBEGIN Beat up on weaker at Pocono plus Parker is in to drive. Best game seems to be rallying at M1.
6 MALICIOUS Former stakes star for Ian Moore has faced top level foes on half-mile tracks. Usually requires aggressive handling.
7 SPECIAL T ROCKS Looks like a good spot for this world champion. Always races well at Club Med.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 1-6-8-4
H Horse Comment
1 LEMON DROP HALL In excellent form and remains at the same level. Tough to beat.
2 AREZZO HANOVER Fastest horse in here BUT is a huge risk with his breaking issues. Hard to trust.
3 WILDRIDGE SAM Delaware, Ohio sale purchase has been dull and comes off a sick scratch. Would have to improve.
4 IN KENNY’S HONOR Has some gate speed and gives it his best. Recent form just fair.
5 GO GO RAIDER Perhaps a slightly easier group than the Pocono claimers. Only 2 for 38 last two years.
6 LORD OF THE BLING Big rally in the slop two back. Price play to round out gimmicks.
7 CR FIXED ASSET Veteran tired last out but was on the ticket two back. Best with one move.
8 L M XKR Usually around at this level and has blown up the toteboard here before. Chance with these.
9 CLASSY CHARACTER Off since Freehold closed. Only six starts this year. Fitness questions.
10 GETONTHEWAY Took a shot and paid the price last out and has missed time since.
