H Horse Comment
1 LIGHTS GO OUT Has the look of a filly that will appreciate the longer stretch here. Like the improvement. Intriguing value play.
2 GOINROUNDNCIRCLES Her lone start here does not inspire much confidence. She will need to improve in order to contend.
3 MOONLESS NIGHT Got a start under her belt and I like the way she was finishing her mile. Callahan’s choice has plenty of upside.
4 DESTINY’S DESIRE Has not shown much in her last 3 pari-mutuel starts and is another that requires improvement to contend.
5 TRUE REFLECTION She is in better form than several of these and has speed that Allard can use effectively. Logical contender.
6 DAWN’S DELIGHT Rosecroft shipper is in pretty good form and Gazzerro has a win here with a Maryland invader. Will offer a price.
7 ALL PERFECT Just never got in the race last time. She still does show that line in a PASS division in 1:52.2. That mile wins this race.
8 MC GILLACUDY-HENRY Liked her quite a bit last week and she raced really well at a nice price. That price is gone. Still just 1 for 40.
9 MCTHIRD DIMENSION Doesn’t have much in the way of early speed, so she is at the mercy of pace and trip. Will have to pass them all.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 1-4-3-2
H Horse Comment
1 APPOMATTOX Winner of that last mile is in the TVG FFA later. That was a big first mile back, but catches a salty group here. Value.
2 SOUTHWIND COCOA First of 5 3YO fillies in this group. Tough trip in the NJSS Final. She is better than that. One of several contenders.
3 HELIOS Just keeps plugging away, earning check after check. Still, 9-2nd or 3rd place efforts compared to 3 wins. I will use underneath.
4 E L ROCKET When he trots, he is fast. Steps up from a nw2 into a pretty strong group. He is going to take plenty of action in here.
5 SIX GUN HALL Well-beaten by E L rocket last time out and he needs to make up those near 10 lengths and probably more.
6 MA CHERE HALL Earned a stakes win against 3YO fillies last time out. Facing some older horses here so this will not be easier.
7 HALL LA LA Was well-backed in that NYSS event but never made the gate. She has some ability, but will need her very best effort.
8 TIME TO KILL Exiting the same races as Southwind Cocoa, but did not perform as well. Was Campbell’s choice. A fringe player.
9 VIDA DE VIE Continues to retain her longshot status after being well-beaten by E L Rocket last out. She needs to step things up.
10 MAJESTIC STONE He is in very good form right now and that last mile was strong. Tetrick goes elsewhere and the trip is a concern.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 8-1-3-5
H Horse Comment
1 LIGHTNING POWER One of a few of these that is prone to the miscue. That said, if he races back to that last qualifier, he will be tough.
2 I KNOW THE TRUTH She has not trotted fast enough to go with these yet. Therefore, I will watch for signs of improvement.
3 VARIETY GIRL Yet to hit the board in 6 lifetime starts, but she catches a softer group in here. I am expecting a stronger effort.
4 HOWE’S MAGIC Yet to be close at the end of the mile and he remains a longshot until showing improvement. Not for me.
5 ALL TROT Has not raced in a long time, but that wasn’t a bad qualifier on an off-track. If he trots, a good effort wouldn’t shock me.
6 CRAZELYN If she can race back to that first start of the year, she has a shot in here. A little concerned about the month off, though.
7 MERGATROID She has picked up a couple of checks and perhaps her seasoning will give her a bit of an edge. Toss her on some tickets.
8 CHA CHA MAGIC That last mile looks pretty good in this group. I expect we will see speed from this filly. Could be the one to beat here.
9 GOOD SKIES Seems to have 4th-it is, so at least he is consistent. Obviously, he will need to go faster in here. Might earn a minor award.
10 THE FRESH PRINCE He has trotted in 1:56 here, but his last 2 starts have not been up to par. Post won’t help matters either.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 8-2-6-5
H Horse Comment
1 RINGSIDE WINNER Failed to make much of an impact in The Flower Child. Faces a softer group here and is a candidate to improve.
2 CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM Beaten double-digits last time out and she is now 0 for 20 on the year. I need to see more from her at this point.
3 GIANT CLASH She has a right to be better in her second trip over the track, but she will need to improve quite a bit to contend here.
4 TOUCH OF CHARM Another that is exiting the Flower Child having not had much success in that series. Will need to step it up.
5 TONATO OF LOVE Has faced stakes company in 3 of her last 4 races so that makes her tough. But, she can also break. Mixed feelings.
6 REGION HALL Raced much better with the addition of Lasix last time. Gelding has some speed and can do some damage in this field.
7 ARMBRO ARISTOCRAT Has not won a race in a while, but I guess his last 2 starts weren’t bad. Perhaps Yannick can step him up.
8 TIPSTER Here is you wild card. That qualifier came off a 15 month layoff. That said, that qualifier was good enough to win this race.
9 MERRY MAIDEN Only has one start in the last 6 months, so she is probably a start or 2 away from her best. Still, this field is light.
10 BROADWAYS FORTUNE Only one start in the last month where she put forth an even effort. She will need some speed from here.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 6-7-5-2
H Horse Comment
1 ARIANE HANOVER She wasn’t bad last time and this mare has won here before. Expect Allard to be aggressive from this spot. Player.
2 IHEARQUESTIONMARK First of 2 RcR shippers and both of them look pretty good in here. Davis has won off this angle before.
3 I LUV IT Exits a very fast qualifier at Gaitway, won by a very fast horse. Hard to get a gauge where she fits so I will watch a start.
4 FANCY PANTS SANDY Coming off a sick scratch and a 3 week layoff. Recent form has not been sharp so she would need a rebound.
5 SCOOTIN CAMMIE The other Rosecroft invader shows up with her trainer/driver. Recent form is sharp. Cannot be dismissed in here.
6 LIZ’S LIL K K Steps up off a win where she appeared to race a bit better on the turns. Her best is certainly good enough to win this.
7 HOT BEACH GIRL That win from 5-4 at Rosecroft was not too shabby and she is getting some class relief. She is worth a look here.
8 RAIDERS FAVORITE Recent form has been dull, although she exits a faster mile. Still not sold on that 1 for 21 mark improving here.
9 GE’S JODY Had too much ground to make up last time. The move to Callahan will attract some attention. May be worth a look.
10 HERE AGAIN Just has not been too sharp lately and I don’t see the speed necessary to overcome this wide draw. Not sold here.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 6-7-2-9
H Horse Comment
1 BIG SKY BATS Back to back solid efforts and she just could not hold off a very sharp mare in the stretch. She is better off a helmet.
1A BIG SKY ANGELINA Form has not been too sharp lately and she is 0 for 15 on the year. Will need to improve to contend here.
2 SCHALOM G Yielded to the pocket past the half and maybe he’s just a need the lead type? Expect him to be pedal to the medal here.
3 FOUNTAINBLEAU VOLO Dauplaise calls on Lachance in this Final. He was better last time, but he is also 0 for 17 on the year.
4 CAPTAIN PRIMEAU He was a bit of a “wise-guy” play last time and was just even. He will need to step things up to win this.
5 KENDA Has found herself in the right place in both starts to pick up a minor award in her last two. That said, a win would surprise me.
6 PEGASUS BLUE CHIP That was nice improvement last time and this gelding might be sitting on a big effort. Definitely worth a look.
7 T P LUCY Launched a three-wide move around the turn and this mare rolled to an easy win. Too sharp to ignore right now. Contender.
8 MARCUS BI Burnt cash again last time and that makes back to back losses as the favorite. Won’t be favored here, but needs to improve.
9 MC TINY’S HOPE This mare is pretty sharp right now and I think she has the speed to get away from this post. Cannot leave out.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 6-4-1-7
H Horse Comment
1 CAROLSIDEAL She is razor sharp night now and is the mare to beat here. Worth noting she is in PP9, but her speed rids that issue.
1A CAROLSTERN Her lack of speed makes PP10 a near impossible chore for her to win this race. Arrives late on the scene, if at all.
2 HOW ‘BOUT A SMOOCH She hit the proverbial wall last week which surprised me because she was really good the week before. Unsure.
3 SHAKER REI Nothing wrong with her last effort and she continues to remain sharp. Toss out that try from PP12 and her form is strong.
4 DE VINS GIRL Liked her last week and Miller ducked, dipped, dove and dodged his way to a win last week. Now Tetrick gets the call.
5 SAMMY L This lass looks like the longshot of the field as her form just doesn’t seem to stack up well in here. Not sold on her chances.
6 CHEYENNE PATTI Was involved in that wild finish last week and just got out-paced. Perfect post and it’s hard to eliminate her in here.
7 CROWN LADY She won against a softer division but validated that win with a strong showing last week. One of several exotics players.
8 JARNAC Came through with one of her better efforts last time but she loses Miller and I prefer other closers in this field.
9 SUPERSTAR DREAM Her only way into the race is to leave and try to grab a pocket behind Carolsideal. Appears up against it though.

1 SINATRA HALL Has not been performing too well in those qualifiers and he has the looks of a horse that will need a start.
2 KEGLER HANOVER Coming off a pretty sharp win at Vernon, but his effort here was not too strong. Catches a pretty strong field.
3 AMALFI COAST Making his second start off the qualifier and his ability to stay flat is always a concern. Must duplicate that last mile.
4 BOCA BOCA Just 1 for 24 lifetime and he really didn’t have much of a chance given the trip last time. I will probably watch a start now.
5 ERGO HANOVER That is back to back breaks in stride, which is a concern. He is high on talent, but this colt is very hard to trust.
6 BIZZARO LINDY That qualifier was an improvement, but it looks like he will need a start or two before he reaches his best.
7 BOADICEA HANOVER She is on a nice win streak and Burke certainly got the most out of her first start in his barn. A logical contender.
8 GLISTER HANOVER Last pair of efforts are pretty good and it seems that Ryder may have this colt moving in the right direction.
9 MISS STEELE Hard-luck narrow defeat in the NJSS final. She showed a new dimension of early speed there, too. Clearly a player.
10 RARING TO GO S I think this filly has a very bright future, despite her lackluster effort at Mohawk. Remember her kick on 5/24!
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 4-9-5-2
H Horse Comment
1 HULA’S Z TAM She shook free too late last week, but she can pace in the last quarter. Given the right setup, she can hit the ticket.
2 ODDS ON AVENTURE Strong showing last time and this is the right spot for her. Draws well and should be in line for a similar trip.
3 CHAROLETTES MAGGIE She has plenty of early speed, but her last two efforts have not produced the kind of stamina you want to see.
4 MAJOR LOOK This mare may be 0 for 8 on the year, but this looks like the spot she will wake-up in. Expecting a big mile from her here.
5 ABROKENART HANOVER Tough trip last week and she was really game in defeat. Driver change to Gingras as well. Contender.
6 WHEN TWO FOOLS MET This particular field just looks too tough for her at this point. I think she will need a peak effort to contend.
7 DREAM’S BAR Gets her second consecutive start off the scratch, so she is likely to improve. She might be a cut below the best here.
8 SHINE N SHIMMER Exiting some solid raced at Philly and they are pretty comparable to this. Think she is competing for a minor award.
9 BULLET POINT That Open against the likes of Krispy Apple was just too much. She catches Major Look here, and is probably 2nd best.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 2E-1E-3-8

1 UNCLE PETER How good has he gotten in the past 2 months? Established a World Record with that last performance. A prime contender.
1A GUCCIO Matched his stable mate’s World Record last week! We all know he can flat out fly at the end of a mile and he has a great draw.
2 WISHING STONE He was a dominant winner of the Maxie Lee and is the leader of the division right now. The one they all have to beat.
2A MARKET SHARE If Wishing Stone wasn’t good enough, how about a Hambletonian winner for a stable mate who was awesome last out!
3 SEVRUGA Cutler champion got back to his winning ways with a big mile at Philly last week. He is better than everyone thought! Player.
4 UNDERCOVER STRIKE Tough task going first over against a razor sharp Uncle Peter last time. This is a very good horse too!
5 BIG SKY STORM Wasn’t bad last week, but got beat by a horse that would be 50-1 in this field, so it is hard to recommend him.
6 KNOWS NOTHING He didn’t factor in The Cutler, but it looks like a trip home did the trick. Still would be surprised to see him win this.
7 ANOTHER AMARETTO Nice mile last week, but the difference between a C-1 and this is immense. Appears to be up against it.
8 ARCH MADNESS Raced exceptionally well in The Elitloppet Final. Will have to overcome the draw. Let’s see him fire off the gate now!
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 7-2-3-5
H Horse Comment
1 ZOLI Raced better last time and it was good to see some improvement there. Most likely to stay inside, tow along and hope to earn a share.
1A TORNADO Just not certain that he is fast enough to win this. He owns a win in 1:58, but as the races get faster, he seems to struggle.
2 DUOLOTTACHEATIN Made a move to the half-mile pole before tiring in the stretch. Still, that marked some improvement. A chance.
2A DÉJÀ VU TOO Chased after Raven Victory last time who is not in this field. Has the speed to overcome the draw. Appears a contender.
3 HERE’S JOHNNY Showed good speed on both ends of the mile last time. Toss out the break and this colt is in very good form. Player.
4 MASTER OF LAW Raced well in those qualifiers, but his form did not appear in his first start. Loses Tetrick in here as well. Tough call.
5 CANTAB JONES Good looking win last time, although this field is going to be tougher. I wouldn’t want to take too short of a price.
6 LADY DYNAMITE Filly responded to the class relief with a better performance last time. Still think she needs more to win this.
7 LAUDERDALE That was a very solid try last time and he has the speed to overcome this wide draw. Expect a solid effort now.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 5-8-6-4
H Horse Comment
1 VAPORSTAR Was much better last time, but he catches a much tougher group and loses Tetrick. I think he is a longshot tonight.
2 RINGSIDE LAURYN Coming off a sluggish final quarter and a sick scratch. Not usually a trend that appeals to me. I will watch this time.
3 SAY IT’S TRUE Shows too many breaks for my liking and his last qualifier just was not fast enough. I will be looking elsewhere.
4 DNIEPER Two out of his last three starts weren’t bad and he might like the longer stretch here. Might add some value to the exotics.
5 CLASSIC CONWAY It’s hard not to like him in this spot. Second race back off the layoff with a class drop and a driver change to Miller.
6 FLOWING JAMES The move to the Harder barn is going to attract some attention here. That Open at Scioto is not an easy spot.
7 MISS LEE She was a bit better last time, but this field is tougher than that nw2. I think she is probably up against it this time around.
8 BEAU JOE Just caught a horse on a big class drop last time, but he raced very well. I expect we will see speed tonight. An obvious use.
9 DELANO Was that the confidence builder that he needed? It wasn’t a very fast mile and he didn’t come home that fast. Tricky call.
10 KRISTINS VICTORY Did not make much of an impact last time, granted that was an awfully fast mile. Might need another start.
13 Thirteenth Race Entries
Picks: 2-3-8-7
H Horse Comment
1 SHAYNA BABY Her speed is just not carrying her far enough through the long Meadowlands stretch right now. Cannot endorse her now.
2 CAROLINES CULLEN N She is racing pretty well lately and has moved up the class ladder nicely. This is a move down for her.
3 SYNERGY SEELSTER She is another that has been facing better and this is a sizeable move down in class. Time for a wakeup call.
4 MY IDEAL She couldn’t beat $10k claimers at Mohawk and this field is much tougher than a $10k claimer. Up against it.
5 NIGHTLY TERROR She was OK last week, but she probably should have been better on the class drop. Not Yannick’s choice now.
6 LILLYWHITES Big try last week and just got collared by a mare rolling up the pylons. Cannot dismiss off her latest effort.
7 MISS ANNIE J Sharp win just a couple of nights ago in a very fast time. This mare is awfully sharp and should prove to be tough.
8 SOLID QUEEN She needs to get back to that 5/17 mile and if she can, she can contend for win honors in this group. A contender.
9 LOOK ANNIE HALL Form just has not been there lately and she is 0 for 15 on the year as well. Cannot recommend at this time.
10 YOU LITTLE RASCAL She was OK last time, but from this post, losing Tetrick, without any speed, I will have to look elsewhere.
