1 NOBLE PRIZE Gets a free pass for the effort on the snow night, so don't hold that against him. Prior win was a cruise against a weak bunch. I guess tonight we find out how good he is! Plus, he's got a betting partner. Very attractive.
1A JANDERSON Gets into the race because she's a mare. She's already won three races. Had a fairly decent qualifier, but I do see the overall record over past two seasons. Drew well and fits the group perfectly. IF, she likes the mile track.
2 PRICELESSPOSSESION Got a couple of months off and prepped nicely for a return to the races. Also raced on the snow night and handled it well. That should serve as good race under her belt. Drew the rail and will be stalking. Trainer: In her first start of 4YO year, she raced well and closed well, so I'm looking for the same, hopefully.
3 MISS RUBY Pretty much same boat as #2. Had some time off. Came back with slow qualifier, and fair first start. Improved a little bit in the snow. I guess she can take a step forward here. Let's see if there's more in the tank.
4 NO EXCUSES Of course she was going to be short on the snow night, so don't let that discourage you. However, I still need to see more here on the mile track. Has to prove she packs the stamina to stick around here. Not sure.
5 IRON DOME Fan favorite here, and we all know his game. He tries pretty hard, and probably needed that last one, after being sick. Good chance he will have more in the tank tonight, and looks like biggest challenge to the entry.
6 CHAPTER TOO Had a deceptively good qualifier behind #1A, so keep that in mind. Was good enough to make the sires stakes final last year, plus she won here too! That's all positive. It's just a question of readiness tonight.
7 ANNAPOLIS HALL Did stay trotting in the second qualifier, so that's a step in right direction. Let's see if he gets around all the way onstride. That's the mission for tonight.
8 DERF HANOVER Gets stuck with a tough post here for Team Bongiorno. Jenn celebrated a birthday earlier this week, so HBD! Her horse here will need a little luck to overcome this spot, but he does have some talent. Needs a trip.
2 Second Race Entries

1 OPULENT YANKEE Starts a powerhouse entry here, but I will note that he's been off a month. It's never easy to be fully cranked and ready after missing that kind of time. He, and partner pack wicked speed. Will try to control it. Trainer: Trained well this week. Hope Andy can get a spot up close to the front.
1A GURAL HANOVER It looked to me like he really benefited from a little time off. That was a superb qualifier with plenty left in the tank last week. Post usually isn't an issue for this guy, but he will get tested from #5,6 early.
2 LMC MASS GEM Looked awfully good in the first go for new barn down in Delaware. Not sure why they wouldn't keep him there, against Open types. But, we'll find out how good he is tonight! This is pretty salty bunch he's facing.
3 ROSSINI Full respect to this guy right now. Overcame a distinct bias last week to dig in and hold on, but this is a monster class hike and he's never been good enough to beat a field like this. Would be a surprise.
4 ZOOMING Has rounded into form nicely over past month for Team Buter. Plus, I'll note he likes the slop, based on last two wins. The weather forecast pretty much guarantees a sloppy track tonight. Will that help? Maybe.
5 NF HAPPENSTANCE We finally get to see the "Big Mare" here on the big track! She's been tearing it up everywhere Jack Parker brings her. This is monster test for sure, but who knows how good she could be here? We'll find out.
6 MELADY'S MONET Final piece of a very difficult puzzle in this race. Gelding usually brings his "A" game wherever he goes, but I do wonder if he's just slightly better on the smaller track. at this point. Longer races will have plenty of stamina available for Brett.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 8-10-4-6
H Horse Comment
1 ALDERBARAN EUREKA Maybe just a touch better in that last qualifier. Second time with the hopples on. Still wasn't enough to make me want to bet, but I see good post and Marcus still aboard. Let's see if he trots.
2 POSSIBLE CREDIT On the slow and steady trail to the races. She's not quite there yet. Pass again. Trainer: Very green filly. We're trying to get her some experience before the summer. Coming into race pretty well.
3 HOLY BONES Took one shot for Team Miller and did not perform well that night. Into new barn here, so let's see what we get. Filly would need a whole lot of improvement, based on what I saw Feb. 9.
4 PRESIDENT ZETTE Gets the tepid call as favorite, because he's put together three straight positive races. Would I call him a lock in this spot? No. But, his form is certainly a lot better than many of these. If he trots, he can win.
5 MASTER OF THE HILL I thought he might be okay in that last try and I was wrong. Gapped and eventually rolled into a break. That's not good, so the job tonight is simply to stay onstride. Not sure about that either.
6 SEVENTEEN TABS Looks like a "project" horse for Mr. Rucker. Lasix recently added, but he clearly couldn't get around Yonkers. That leaves us with a mile track try. Not sure what to expect, so let's take a long look in post parade. YG on.
7 COACH CUMMINGS It doesn't look like he'll be ready for this just yet. After just one qualifier. I will pass.
8 I M FISHIN Coming out of same qualifier as few of them in the first. This lass wasn't bad either. I don't see any breaks in her lines and this field has no kiillers. I know just 1-21 life, but against these, she definitely has a chance.
9 BREAK FREE Bound to take some betting action, because he looks better than some of these right now. But, I won't bite out of this post, off what I've seen from him. Needs to find another gear in there somewhere. Haven't seen it.
10 LAW OF ATTRACTION I guess I could make a case for a little success in this corner. I do wish he'd drawn a better post, so beware. Demand fair value, if you fancy. It won't be easy to overcome this post, coming off that break.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 5-2-9-7
H Horse Comment
1 FREE LOVE Didn't show a whole lot in the first few here, but he does get a better post tonight. Maybe that will help, maybe it won't. Sits in, saves ground, and tries to keep up late.
2 OUTCRY Now that he's had a couple of starts, it's time to take a closer look at this one. Each of last few has been a little bit better. The post is good and there is potential for a hot pace in here. All of that would help set up a rally.
3 DRAGONINTHECHIPS Leaves Freehold for a try up here and I'm not really sure why. Inconsistent might be the best word to sum up the recent form, but I will say he has to go a LOT faster here. Not sure that's in the tank.
4 BRICKMAN Barn simply on fire right now, and they've finally given up on this fella. In for the bottom pricetag now, and yes, he can probably win. But, I won't be on him. Tries another new driver, hoping to nurse him into the race. Trainer: Should be competitive in here tonight.
5 FLY'N WITH ROYALTY Gave it a super game try against the bias last week, and against a big favorite. For that alone, I make him the one to beat tonight. If he can get to the lead again with no torture, maybe he holds this week.
6 CHARMBO CURIOSITY Back into the claimers with just some fair recent efforts. He's another that just doesn't look like a "winning" kind of horse right now, but anything can happen on a sloppy night. Demand value if you like. MM off.
7 REAL ROCKER Got bet off the board last week and did not pay off on the promise. I really don't know how to evaluate that effort, especially off the scratch. Will he be any better in the slop tonight? I just don't know. Good luck.
8 GOLD STAR ROGER Can't really make a strong case for anything from this horse right now. I will just pass.
9 DANISHDUJOUR When he blasted out of the gate last week, I thought he'd be dangerous. Speed was no good that night, however, so I will just give him a pass. Same blast coming? If so, maybe his chances go up.
10 FOX VALLEY CREDIT Suffering a good case of the bad post blues right now. I would imagine he'll be taking back again, and it's so hard to pass them all on an off track. Tough to like a lot from way out here.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 4-5-2-6
H Horse Comment
1 MR LOVER Picked up checks in last two sloppy track tries, so I guess that's a good thing. Drew the rail here, so that should keep him close. All he has to do is sit in, save ground, and try to keep up late. Sometimes that works out.
2 SOUL TRAIN Burned a LOT of money as the beaten favorite up at the Spa. Had been stuck in some tough spots over past month or so, and does have some decent history here. Not sure he's as good as faves, but has a chance.
3 YOOOUKILIS 0-2 since the claim. Barn figures he might be better here, but horse has raced here before. Not really sure we can expect that much more, plus he might not be a big price. I need to see a good one here again first.
4 BIG BILL BREEZE Gets yet another big class drop, AND a better post, so it's probably wakeup call time here. Don't be shocked if this horse gets bet tonight and flashes more speed. I'm counting on it! A must use against these.
5 CAULFIELD Simply outmuscled for the money last time, so I do feel bad if you bet at 3-5. Not going to offer a huge price here either, plus it might be tougher field. Best asset here is the post. Gives Jimmy some options tonight.
6 STITCH IN TIME Now 0-6 on the season and the excuses are piling up. Yes, he did have tough trips last two, so maybe he's overdue to get lucky. On his best night, he can certainly beat these. Probably from just off the pace. Trainer: Had a good week.
7 PILGRIMS TIDE Had that one good start, surrounded by several bad ones. Therefore, he's unpredictable, like many low level trotters. I guess if they mix it up near the end, that could help his rally. A big 'ol maybe.
8 BRANDOS MUSCLE MAN Brings a big piece of speed to this party, and that makes me wonder about the pace scenario in here. There are several "live" players to the inside. Doesn't figure to get an easy journey.
9 STARSABOVEALLERAGE Ordinarily, I'd like this spot, but maybe not tonight. Gets a bad post. This is just second start back off mini-layoff. Early speed isn't exactly his game. I guess I'll wait for another spot.
10 MARION GONDOLIER Big longshot. Outside post. No speed. Sloppy track. It all adds up to pass.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 7-4-8-3
H Horse Comment
1 UPFRONT BILLY Ended up with a fairly decent trip after being used early, but none of the speed horses were holding up much last Friday. Horse does tend to race well when he gets an inside post like this. Interesting spot, if price right.
2 ALEXANDER HANOVER The betting fans pounded this guy last week and they were right! Benefited from perfect A Nap drive and is now forced back up in class. This is when it usually gets too tough for him.
3 XTATIC HANOVER One of a couple from this barn in at Club Med tonight. See how the first one (Yoookilis) did in the fifth. That might give you a gauge on how this one will perform. Might. He is taking significant class drop here.
4 SUCH AN ANGEL Prepped in fine fashion with two solid qualifiers. In the past, this barn has had a few ready to roll off the layoff, so I wouldn't be too quick to eliminate. He was keeping up nicely behind Gural. Andy sticks with him. Trainer: Qualified, and both starts off the layoff were very good. Has had a good week.
5 GOLD MEDAL SWAN Always difficult to gauge, but I will give him a pass for last week, on the lead. Nothing was holding up and he was used very hard. Overall, he does seem sharp at moment. Wouldn't be a shocker now.
6 STEED Trying to make it back to the races and looking okay so far. Got around safely in the first try. Couple weeks off since, so that does worry me a bit. With potential very off track tonight, he should be coming from behind again. Trainer: Second start off a layoff. Finished good in last start and looking for a more improved effort.
7 ROUNDTOWN ROCKER Last time he raced at this level, it was super try! Are we getting that again? New connections all the way around, and it's not in driver's nature to take back when he's live. Expect some solid speed, folks.
8 DI OGGI Like #7, last try at this level was a dazzler! I know this post could be a little rough, and I also know he broke a couple of starts ago. Faces lot of speed pressure, both inside and out. This will not be an easy spot, folks. Andy opt off.
9 FIJI Turned in very good try against that very well-meant and impressive winner last week. We all know his game, but these outside posts are killing us! I do wonder if it might be time to give him one from off the pace? We'll see.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 AMERICAN DANCER Couple months off. Requalified at home base, and it's a decent looking line. I don't think she's quite up to the level here, so I will pass and watch one.
2 PERPLEXED Kinda the same boat as #1. Two qualifiers, and an even first start back. Is she really ready to tackle the likes of Monica just yet? I will say no, but will be watching closely for future consideration.
3 OK HEAVENLY Hasn't had a whole lot of luck lately, but that can change at any time. This will likely be third straight sloppy track start, so that probably doesn't help. Some fans who bet last week might try her again. A big maybe.
4 FINA PATINA Looks like one of the longshots in here. She's simply overmatched against a field like this. Pass.
5 PHYLLIS JEAN Loved her last week, and she was one of the few who somehow overcame the bias. I guess she was just that much best. Now, she begins the ascent back up the class ladder and it's a huge hike. Needs a trip now. Trainer: I she's a little stronger from behind, but came back great from a mini vacation. Should be right there again.
6 SUDDEN CHANGE N What do we glean from her first start here? Not very much, to be honest. She has to be better than that, right? Was it the prior scratch? Sick? The sloppy track? Looking like she'll face that again. Your call?
7 FAMILY ROLL CALL Not a real confirmed kind of "winner," but I did like what I saw in those qualifiers. If anything, the first one was better than the second one. But, for tonight's betting purposes, I doubt she's able to beat these.
8 KEYSTONE RIPTIDE Fought tenaciously again last week. Especially after being used hard against the bias. Simply put, this mare is very good right now, so she'll be firing out again, right into the teeth of #9. Will be no easy race. Trainer: Has been racing great, expecting another good effort.
9 MONICA GALLAGHER In case you forgot, that was a HUGE effort to beat a 1-5 shot two weeks ago! So, with that said, she must overcome another bad post now, but on a sloppy track that doesn't bother her. One to beat.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 5-4-3-6
H Horse Comment
1 IRON MINE JOHNNY Kind of a tough-luck beat last time, but still a very good effort. Johnny remains sharp, and with an inside post here, I guess I wouldn't talk you off him. Might offer the right price to be used again.
2 MONTALBANO BI We all know his game, and it isn't usually speed. It's all about pace and trip for the Bi, and this race could have a LOT of action in it. Tell me he'll be second or third over, and I would tell you to use him. Keeps Jimmy.
3 P L ICABOD Just forget about his last one, since it was a 10-hole "tour of the track." Right back into contention here, with the better post and his regular driver back in the seat. This is hard-trying horse. Should give #4,6 a real test.
4 DW'S REVENGE Uncorked those "wow" kind of rallies last few. Yes, things were in his favor last week, but it was still a very good effort. He's come back very strong off the layoff and its third time in this class. Lifetime earnings.
5 SCIROCCO JAKOB Everything worked against him last Friday and he fought tooth and nail right to the wire. Another in here that is just very sharp right now, so something has to give. The midpack post is perfect for Marcus here.
6 MY CHERRY PIE It seemed like everybody at the track knew she was going to win last week. She did and did it impressively. However, I will note that this field looks a lot tougher than that one. Big, big test coming here. New driver.
7 SODA PUMP No real pop in the first go here. Okay. Finds himself in a real tough spot tonight and has drawn outside the main foes again. Not sure I can hop into this corner just yet. I will wait for a softer spot.
8 KEEGAN HO Seems to do his best work at one notch below this, and from an inside post, not outside one like this.
9 CAN DO Jumps up with a good one, every now and then, but it's usually against a slightly lesser quality field, AND from an inside post. Unless he blasts, he will have way too far to come tonight.
10 DOUBLE L LINDY What do we do with this guy tonight? Unseen for a few weeks. That qualifier was okay, but not great. So, I just don't think he's primed and ready to blast off yet. Let's watch closely for later on.
9 Ninth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 IT REALLY MATTERS Last two starts at this level weren't exactly dazzling, but I recognize the big post relief here. That alone brings him into play, and A Nap finds his way into the seat. Watch out for a big try from pole position.
2 SHADY MCCOY Probably needed a few weeks off, and should benefit from that. Not tonight, because these look too tough, but maybe when he drops in a week or two? Trainer: Coming off a nice qualifier, hoping for a repeat performance, and had a good week.
3 WILDFLOWER She had a tough trip trying to grind last week. That's not her game. If she can catch some live cover here, watch out for the finish. It's all about pace and trip for her, so we can never count on that. Usable.
4 PIERCEWAVE HANOVER Was pretty good in those starts here, and then scratched out of a race at home base. Fact that he shows back up here, instead of Spa could be key. We're going to see speed with Brett named.
5 WORTH THE MONEY AS Dropped and popped at a nice price last week, and he was good to nail a 3-5 shot too! With that said, everything did set up nicely for him, and I guess I'd be surprised if he repeated against these.
6 ASHES CASH I think that last effort was first one where I could really say he was flat. Got into the flow, which was where you wanted to be last week and just didn't have the same punch home. Will that turn around now?
7 NEEDNORESTRICTIONS As expected, got a little tired last week off the long layoff. But, boy did he stop. Yes, this is a class drop, and yes, he does pack solid speed, but he'll need the stamina to go along with it. Not sure ready yet.
8 SWISS PLATINUM Retains longshot status, having drawn a poor post now. Will be coming from way back.
9 KARETS Had this fella drawn a better post, I might take a longer look. There is some back class in this tank, but I can't guarantee this is the right spot to unleash him yet. Maybe one more week?

1 MY WHIRLY GIRL As expected, all of the Meadows shippers last week were short, this one included. But, now that they have a race under their belt, let's see if they improve a little. Has the rail here, and decent speed.
2 MEADOWBROOK GLIDER Had his "race over the track" and did stay trotting. That's a good thing. Let's see if there's any more in the tank tonight. Could be, but still a longshot.
3 ACES AND EIGHTS One of the few that enjoyed the snow that night, jumping up with sharp effort. Followed it up with a not-so-sharp miscue at Yonkers on Sunday. Barn puts him right back in here. Will he trot? Wish I knew.
4 TECH TITAN Looked just a tad bit short in that qualifier three weeks ago. Yes, three weeks ago. I have to believe that he'll be a little short tonight. I will be watching closely for future consideration, however.
5 THE LAST CHAPTER This guy did look ready in his qualifier. I will add points too, if barn's other starter (Such An Angel) raced well earlier tonight. Gelding could be ready to give the mare a real good tussle tonight. Expect it. Trainer: Qualified very good, and has had a good week.
6 SORTIE HANOVER MIA just a little too long for my liking right now. Not much luck, so let's look for a conservative start, and possible evaluation for later on. Horse does have some talent.
7 MISSLAROSE It's hard to believe she wasn't even favored last week, but oh well. Had a very difficult trip, but it should be completely different here. She should make the top, and simply looks lot sharper, and tighter than most.
8 OSVALDO BLUE CHIP Gets stuck with another bad post and it hurts. Yes, I'll give credit for racing against the bias last week, plus it was first time Lasix. There's liable to be some serious improvement here. Has to leave with the mare. Trainer: Trying to overcome a bad post again tonight.

1 TEASIN N PLEASIN Finally gets a break from the post gods tonight, so that should help. At times, she has delivered a decent rally here. In line for one of those sit in, save ground and shake loose late trips. Could work for a share.
2 CAPER K COURT Also helped by an inside draw. Doesn't have to do much early, just try to work out a trip. That could happen, and she could hit the ticket if the trip is smooth.
3 WONDER BUNS I must admit, I wasn't really enamored with this mare's last performance. She kind of gapped, before coming with a belated rally. Likely to be short price again, so I will probably swing against. Needs more to win.
4 BELL A CHICK Enjoyed a 10-hole "tour of the track" last time. No worries. We all know this gelding packs a wicked punch when he wants to play. This race has that kind of "setup" where he could be major factor. At a price maybe?
5 NEW YORK ATTITUDE Not a whole lot in recent form gives me reason to endorse. I will pass again.
6 JINAH BLUEGRASS Didn't show a whole lot in first start here, and for new barn. But, that field was a bit better than this one, and now that Al has a start to evaluate, we could see a LOT more tonight. Any equip changes?
7 MISTRESS VALENTINE Gets a very tepid call as morn line fave, after showing speed on night when it was no good. This was a big drop down to this level, so she has to be better here. Just watch how sloppy track is playing tonight.
8 ROSE RUN QUICKLEY 6YO has now had two starts back off the layoff. I was looking for a little bit more last time, and didn't really get it. That, plus this post is bad again. I guess he's just not fully primed and ready yet.
9 TROPICAL TRICE Slow starts keep costing this mare. This post will be the problem tonight. She can finish with them, but will need to get a little luckier in the trip department. Chance at a decent price with a setup.
10 MARION MILLIONAIR Still looking like a big longshot to me, especially from post 10. Not my type.
12 Twelfth Race Entries

1 WILD NITE TINA She clearly wasn't ready after missing all that time. Same as the barn's other starters for tonight. If any of them have picked it up a little, then maybe this mare can grab a check. A big maybe.
2 CLASSY CHAPEL N MIA for almost a month now, so that is a BIG worry for me. But, on plus side, Andy was listed and chose her over a Surick-trained horse! That's a weird choice, so I don't know what to do now. Will she be ready?
3 BRUNHILDA Gave it a pretty good try against the bias last week, so I'll give credit for that. Faces same mare that blew past her late, however. Does have another good post, but may opt for different kind of trip. Chance to get closer.
4 MACHING ME ZILLY Looked short in her qualifier, and had tough, overland trip in first start back. Barn's top pilot is back in the sulky seat tonight, however and that could be the signal. Is she ready? Maybe we watch the board?
5 SNEAKY GIRL Not exactly going great guns right now, and I can't guarantee you that mile track will be the answer. With that said, I want to watch one here. To see if she belongs.
6 ROCKIN PRALINE Interesting newcome to Surick stable that looks very consistent on paper. I like the way those lines match up against these, but if Andy Miller was listed and opted off, doesn't that tell us something? I think it does.
7 PETAL TO THE METAL Way, way overbet last time, especially with the bias working in her favor and to be honest, she was downright flat. First time she hasn't charged home. Anxious to see how she bounces back from that tonight. Trainer: Trained good this week, and drew slightly better. Hoping for some early speed in the race.
8 JULIO'S GIRL Shipped in and showed up ready! That was some mile! No doubt she'll be firing out again, and I can't wait to see if it was a fluke, or the real deal? We'll find out tonight with another sloppy track.

1 GIRLLOOKATTHATBODY Bouncing up and down the class ladder lately, with limited success. Gets a cozy pole post tonight, so we might see that speed again. Any smooth trip, and her upset chances go up. Don't dismiss.
2 PURITY Raced against the bias last week and did pretty well, considering. I've never guessed right on this mare and I probably won't again tonight, but she could be getting good again. Has beaten these before.
3 WHISKERSONKITTENS Is this drop and pop time? I think so! Also used up against the bias last week and paid the price late. This is weaker bunch, and #5 is liable to be overbet a little. It's time to take a shot with Whiskers.
4 DONNA'S BEACH Up from Freehold after a couple of just fair efforts. Yes, I see the trip was tough last time. Will she show more on the mile track for her new barn? The answer could be yes, and the price could be right. Consider.
5 BLUSH HANOVER Gave it one of her better tries last time, against a very well-meant winner. She'll be facing that scenario again vs #3 tonight. The post is perfect. Brett knows exactly how to drive her. I'm still going against.
6 MOJARRA HANOVER Never really in it last time, but this race has a very interesting pace scenario. If #7,8 or 10 leave in here, we could have a little mayhem. We know Mojarra finishes. Is it her time to get lucky? I don't know.
7 NOT BEFORE EIGHT Another with a bit of back class to work with. I think she will benefit from that first start back over the track. Pants stuck with #3 and I expected that, but don't be shocked if she takes a shot and sends.
8 CHEYENNE TRIENGEL Not much luck for this mare since coming back, but that can change quickly. Just toss that last start, as she really wasn't ready for that field. This field is different. Any smooth trip and she's got big chance. Trainer: Real good in her first start. Disappointed a little in her last start. Did have a good week of training
9 UNBEAMLIEVEABLE Tired against the bias last time, and this spot doesn't look any easier. Pass for now.
10 SAGE N That was nice trip and drive from Vinny on this mare to score the win. However, now, she's forced back up in class, she gets post 10, and wasn't Vinny's pick. All of that understandable. Will post 10 derail chances? I think so. Trainer: Raced well last week, but does have a tough post.
