1 CHECK'S COMMODORE Ships up from Philly off a winning effort from off the pace. Arguably, this should be a tougher spot, and he might have to go a little faster here. He's done that before. Tough to get a read on mile track.
1A COLONIAL ROAD Scoots in from New York with a 1-29 record on the year, so I'm not overly confident. This is the level where he's been competing regularly, so I also can't be too confident about his chances. Must prove it here.
2 FLYING COWBOY On a bit of a roll right now against lesser down at Dover, but he probably deserves a big track try. He's in for the $10K tag, so gets an inside post. Has aggressive driver in . Let's see how far his speed goes.
3 FLY'N WITH ROYALTY Almost stole one here last week, so let's give credit where it's due! Definitely proved he can hack it here at M1, plus he gets a better post tonight. Will be part of the pace. Only needs add a bit more stamina.
4 ALONEINSPADES Hasn't really been lighting the world on fire of late, so he retains longshot status. I will pass.
5 MOVEOUTOFMYWAY Enters off a terrible effort at Yonkers on Tuesday, and I guess I wouldn't be shocked if he scratches out of this. Something not right in this corner right now, so let's leave him out for the moment.
6 LUKES COWBOY Barn's other starter also raced on Tuesday, but went a bit better. An even kind of fifth place finish, but this horse does have some better efforts in the past. The switch to the mile track might wake him up a bit.
7 SHOW ME UP Turned things around with the win up at the Spa, but yes, that was a weaker spot. Gets stuck with an outer post here and the pace scenario might not fit his style. I'd want a big price to include him on the ticket.
8 JACKSON BRADY Gets the slim call as fave, in what is clearly a wide open race. Just on general consistency, he looks better than many of these. I know the post is bad, but he's got plenty of speed to overcome it. Only needs a trip.

1 WINNERESS He's certainly burned a lot of betting money lately! But, those may have been better fields he was facing down at Philly. This spot should be perfect for a return to the big track. Chance to step it up big time for Team Trond! Trainer: Nice, honest colt that should fit well in here.
2 FOX CAST Debuts for new connections off a sub-par qualifier. I guess I need to see one here first. Pass for now.
3 TYMAL REIGN Gave it a great try on the front end last week and I'll give extra credit for her recent mile track tries. That speed is potent and this pace scenario sets up nicely for her. Big chance to beat the boys tonight.
4 ON THE SLY Was well bet down at Philly on Wednesday and made a break. That's not a good thing. Prior to that, gelding was on a good roll, but against lesser. Short rest. Switch to mile track. I have very mixed feelings here.
5 TROUBLE RIEU N Worked his way right up the class ladder over in Pennsy. Invades for a mile track try and I can't be sure this is the right spot for him. Will have to go even faster here and I usually need to see it first. Let's see speed.
6 FREDDIE MAC Gets a touch of post relief here and that last race was a little better than it looks on paper. Barn has turned things around and they're getting most horses in the right spot. I'll hop on board and hope price is right.
7 WAITING ON A WOMAN Freshened up over the last few months. The first qualifier up at Spa was pretty slow, even though he won easily. Shipped here to get a stronger mile and was okay. Is he ready for best? We'll find out.
8 AMBER ELLA Gets stuck with another tough post here and it usually hurts her, since she lacks blast out speed. However, I must note that she finished full of trot last week. It was a very good effort. Can she get close enough?

1 ALWAYS AT MY PLACE Basically controlled things up front last week and stole away just enough to hold off #7. It was a solid effort and he's good for that most times. Gets a key, midpack post and a repeat wouldn't shock me.
1A SPEED AGAIN Gets hooked up with the partner again, for betting purposes. He actually outperformed my expectations last week with a solid late kick. He's also got speed, if pilot wants to use it. Nice backup plan.
2 CROSSFIREHURRICANE In from Pennsy with a mixed bag of efforts. See how barn has done with its invaders so far this week. If they have a winner, then add a few points here. Should offer a square price if you fancy in this spot.
3 TULLOW N Is it safe to say this guy just likes the mile track? Was an absolute monster here on Nov 25, and clearly not as potent in either Yonkers event. Back to mile track and he'll only have to track down the entrymates. Can do! Trainer: Sharp at the Big M. Not sure if he liked the half mile track last start.
4 AMERICANPRIMETIME Owns a couple of wins here, so if you want to swing against the favorites, this might be your option. Loves to dig in and fight. Just a true, professional racehorse. Let's see if he can pull the upset from nice post. Trainer: Been racing awesome all year. Took mark of 1:49.4 last start at the Big M with me driving! Can always improve.
5 BOTTOM DEALS Off a four-month layoff and into a pretty rough spot. Clearly outsprinted home in the qualifier, so I'll take the stand that he's just not ready for this yet. Wait for a softer spot later on.
6 SOME ATTITUDE Came up just a touch flat in the stretch last week, but was used hard early. I'll give him a break for that, but I hate this post. After several great starts, maybe he's ready to tail off a bit? We'll find out.
7 ART HISTORY Probably the key to the race tonight, from a pace perspective. Since he got stuck with the bad post now, pilot may have no choice but to send. If that happens, we could get a little mayhem up front. Very sharp now.

1 BEE IN CHARGE Guessing he doesn't like the track down at Philly. Put the hopples on for last try and still delivered another clunker. Broke before that. Tries the mile track now and we'll see if he can stay onstride. Questions? Trainer: Draws a good spot off a disappointing effort. Big track should suit him better.
2 WATKINS Very tough call here! This is prime spot to drop and pop, and I'll add that he owns a win here this year. I like the post. Seems like a grinder, so he'll be out and into the race early enough. Only knock is Marohn opted off.
3 TAKE MY PICTURE Iron tough 10YO found a soft spot on closing week at Pocono. Finds his way back to Club Med here, but might be in too tough. In a race with several droppers, he's moving up. I have to prefer others tonight.
4 NOT AFRAID It's not easy to get a real gauge on this trotter. He's got plenty of back class, but I wouldn't call him the most consistent performer ever! Simply put, on best day he can beat these. Jimmy will drive himself. Speed coming.
5 CAULFIELD Pretty aggressive from the outer post last week and just got a little tired late. No problem. This race could set up a lot differently and that would probably help this guy. He's beaten fields like this before. A must use.
6 KING CAST Like barn's earlier starter, I think horse will need a race or two here. Let's see if he belongs.
7 DYNAMIC EDGE Miscued behind the gate when well backed last week. That is not a positive sign, and we'll get a new driver tonight. The post is still tough and IF he trots, it will be no easy move to the lead. I'm probably going to pass.
8 MOONLIGHT COCKTAIL Barn's starters didn't get much love at the post draw. The class drop is what this mare has been waiting for, but in reality, it's no easy spot! She hates these outside posts too! Demand value if you like.

1 RECORD MACHINE Lone 2YO in field comes out of some tough races down at Philly and he appears to have some talent. Does own a win, but I'll stab that he's in steep here too! Have to wait for a softer spot down the road.
2 LONG BEACH Camp Silva takes over on the underachiever with the impeccable pedigree. Mark usually does pretty well with these "project" horses, so let's see if he races any better here on the big track again. Tired over at Pocono.
3 BREATHLESS YANKEE These look way too tough for him right now. Clearly a longshot in here.
4 WAVES Had his "race over the track" last week and wasn't particularly strong. He's not the biggest horse out there, so I'm beginning to wonder if he fits here. Gets a better post tonight, so I will be watching for more. A big maybe.
5 BAG PIPE MAJOR Waiting on a return to form here and like #4, he comes off a somewhat flat effort from a bad post. This is some post relief, so we might see a bit more pace. I say might, because I'm not really sure. Your call? Trainer: Finally draws well, so I'm expecting good doings from him.
6 PEMBROKE JOEY Pocket rocketed in the Pocono finale last time, but that was a few weeks ago! MIA since, so that does worry me a little bit. On plus side, horse is sharp right now and this is ideal spot for a big track try. Must use.
7 SPANISH ART Picked up a check last time at long odds. Will offer the same big price. Still lots to prove here.
8 DREAMS ARE TRUE Came charging home behind Joey in last Pocono try. That's a decent effort and he also has enough speed to overcome the post. The big knock here is overall record. Just one win, but 10 second's!
9 SNEAK ON BYE Was very good two back at Philly. Not quite as strong taking the aggressive try here last week, but the effort was still there. I hate this post, so Vinny will have to be aggressive again. Must save some for late.
10 CUZ I'M HAPPY I was definitely encouraged by his first try here. That wasn't bad! Unfortunately, he doesn't get "rewarded" with this post drawn, but he does have speed. If he can somehow get a trip from out here, might shock us!
6 Sixth Race Entries

1 DARK POOL Pretty sharp right now, and that was a very tough spot at Yonkers on Sunday. I might add a few points if Wild Smile came back and won here in the amateur race on Thursday. One of the possibilities in wide open race.
2 UPFRONT BILLY Eight time winner this year comes out of the that super tough race here last week with Gural Hanover. This is clearly a bit softer spot, and he gets Simon back. Have to expect a big effort from this post.
3 JIMMY WILLIAM Boy, I don't know what to do with Jimmy right now. Horse looked like a world beater in that comeback win on Nov. 4, but the wheels have come off since. Have to take a long look out on track first.
4 CAN DO Got shuffled and locked in just a bit too long last week. Still had some trot when it counted. It's that speed that always puts this fella in play and it's coming again. Any smooth trip certainly gives a chance, as Nap's choice.
5 BROADWAY CONCERT Uncorked a much stronger effort to win last time, in direct contrast to her prior effort. Oh well! Things like that happen. Maybe it was Corey? Either way, she's forced up in class to tackle much tougher here.
6 NEW JERSEY VIKING Squeezes in for the condition, but is becoming a big question mark too! Can't really be fond of that break in first start on Lasix. I guess I'll just let him beat me, if he can. I'll rate him a longshot now as well.
7 IRON MINE BUCKY Also out of that key race here last week. Just towed along, having no chance the way the race went. This is completely different spot, but the post could hurt this time. Has to be closer to launch a bid.
8 RAISE THE CURTAIN Keeps outracing his odds lately. Those were two top notch efforts! It was almost a shame that he lost last week, because he really earned it! Now, it's post eight, which changes the strategy. Must get into it early.
9 ROUNDTOWN ROCKER Ya can't like them all, so let's just pass on the Rocker from an impossible post.
10 QUEEN ADJALA Suffering a good case of the bad post blues! She actually had some trot from way back last time, so if you think she can get closer, then go ahead and use. The price should still be right. Tough call from way out here.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 JK WILL POWER Shipped in and showed up sharp for the win against weaker. Now, gelding begins his ascent back UP the class ladder and this is no easy spot! Has a better post to compensate, but he'll need another huge effort. Trainer: Very happy with his effort last week, especially at the wire, determined to win. Had a good week and trying to keep him healthy and happy. Been a long year for him, and meets tougher foes.
2 HALUSKY When we saw this fella back in the summer, I thought he was perfect big track horse. Team Miller opted to race him elsewhere, however. Finds his way back after being up, down the class ladder. Is this the right fit? Maybe.
3 LAWRENCETOWN BEACH Controlled things on the front end for a dig in, gutsy kind of win. Amazingly, he fits the same class, but I do rate this a solid bunch. I expect to see the speed, but I expect a lot of pressure too! Your call?
4 WESTERN JOE Did a fairly good job of keeping up behind the top 3YO's. His last win here was superb too! Gets another new driver tonight and is versatile enough to race either way. I wouldn't talk you off him at square price.
5 JOHNNY Q Johnny seems a little buried in this spot, but he does have ideal midpack post to just keep up and tow along. Sometimes, he kicks in with a burst. Any hot pace would help set that up. Demand value, if you fancy.
6 JACKSRLUCKYTOO As expected, that spot last week was way too tough. Might still be in too tough. We usually like to catch Jack on the class drop to a softer spot. I'm willing to wait another week.
7 DON'TCALLMEFRANCIS Needed one more step of racetrack to pull the big upset last week, but unlike some of these, he's forced UP in class. And he gets stuck with a tougher post. I will wish him luck from out here.
8 SUPER IMPOSED N Found a nice, easy soft spot over at Yonkers and simply flaunted his class. Squeezes in for the condition here and I wish I knew if we'd see the same speed! If he fires out, then watch out. Plenty of class here.

1 CAVIART SHELLY Found these way too tough last week and probably will again. I have to pass, even from rail.
2 BETABCOOL N Probably needed that race last week and still came storming home from an impossible spot. This is another wide open race, with most of the power on outside, so I wouldn't talk you off this lass at a price.
3 VALUABLE ART Finds her way to the Med tonight, getting into the race on lifetime earnings condition. Corey sticks here and it is a little bit of a drop. Not sure what the price will be, but she seems to fit this group. Speed coming?
4 WORLD APART The lone 3YO in here loses Corey, but probably still has a big chance. She's legitimately stakes placed over the course of the season and should benefit from the freshening. Qualifier was excellent. No reason not to like.
5 STYLISH BEACHWHERE Somehow held off the onslaught last week to post a popular 2-1 win. Barn is still going strong, but I do believe mare is a touch overmatched with this group. That same speed won't work with these. Trainer: Raced great last week and hopefully can repeat.
6 VEGAS IN STYLE First time for the Burke barn. They had mixed results with their new acquisitions last weekend. What I don't like about this mare is the gaps between races. It's a concern. Recently added Lasix. Tough call tonight.
7 OK HEAVENLY Jimmy had her perfectly positioned in the flow last week and Mr. Horowitz and I thought we were going to get lucky at 9-1! Just missed, but no excuses. Will have to find a bigger knockout punch to get job done.
8 PHYLLIS JEAN Last try here was a real sparkler! Just toss the race up at Saratoga and she's back where she belongs. Really good right now, so I hesitate to leave her out, even from the bad post. Just too sharp to ignore. Trainer: Keeps impressing me, but may be a notch too high.
9 JEWEL LEHIGH A I'm not familiar with this mare, but she seems due for a big track try. Trainer had a birthday on Thursday, so maybe this is his present? Also appears to be rounding back into form. Only knock is the post.

1 ROCK TO GLORY Horse was super last time we saw him here in the Dash final. That was gutsy, dig in win. This spot looks a bit tougher, but I won't count him out. Should give #6 all he can handle from the rail. Expect him to be close.
2 SPORTY REDHOT Barn's been shipping in some good ones of late, but I can't guarantee this is the right spot forthis gelding. It will not be easy for a 3YO to beat the likes of #6. That foe just has a bit more class. We'll see.
3 PONYTA BOY Takes the LONG ship from Batavia to try Club Med. Horse is pretty sharp right now, and boy is he durable! 42 starts last year. About to make 43rd this year. That's a real racehorse! Let's see if he fits here.
4 ELECTRIC WESTERN Not a lot of wins this year or last, but a switch to mile track and another new driver. Any of those factors could produce a better result. Will probably need a trip, but that's not out of question either. Good post.
5 DAVID'S DREAM Yes, I'm still reeling from that photo he won last week. Full credit to Corey to somehow get him home. With that said, he's forced up in class again and I would be surprised if he beat these. Must prove it again. Trainer: After last week's performance, I think David can handle this jump up in class too!
6 EXPRESS STRIDE N By all rights, he should just crush these. Simply put, he's a better horse than these. That doesn't always work, but I'll stick with my guns. It's Brett's job just to get him close enough. Horse will do the rest. Trainer: Racing great and had another good week.
7 ROCK ON THE HILL Not bad with a tough trip upon arrival. Set things up for the two closers who went by, but I'll give credit for not quitting. That showed me something. Hoping he gets a better trip somehow. A maybe.
8 ONEISALONELYNUMBER Took a week off after Pocono closed. Shows up here on a slight drop, but with a dreadful post. He's shown ability to leave the gate and might have to, to have any chance. I'll be watching closely.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 STRAWB'S CHIPPIE N This doesn't look like the right spot for her Club Med return. Wait for softer spot.
2 QUICK DRAFT A Finally gets a break at the post draw, but is up in class for some reason. Mare owns one sharp kick, and if she's anywhere close top stretch, watch out! A possible upsetter with the right kind of journey. Trainer: Came from an impossible spot last start.
3 STUDIO ONE Another possibility in what is a truly wide open race. Added Lasix last time and flew home. Showed she likes the mile track. I can easily make a case for her rally, since there's a ton of speed to the outside.
4 BEAUTIFUL LADY Nap put her in a good spot for Big M debut and she just didn't have the stamina. Needs more.
5 FREE SHOW Found her top gear just a tad too late last time. Still, I thought it was an improved effort on the drop that night. Forced back up a bit here, but drew ideal midpack post. It's all about the trip for her. Might get good one.
6 DANDY'S BEAUTY No real factor against a field like this, two back here. Went over to Yonkers and delivered a bit of a clunker. Not sure I can be too positive about her chances tonight. Will offer a big price, if you like.
7 COLORFUL JASMINE Have to be careful here. Added Lasix last time and had some decent pace after conservative trip and drive. Almost like a "test drive" to see if okay. When controllable, this is a fast filly! We might see that tonight.
8 COUSIN MARY Barn ships in with a couple tonight and this mare has a big chance. She's faced FAR better during the campaign and note she has 12 wins! That's outstanding! Fought tooth and nail last week. Only needs a trip now.
9 SPINPRESSIVE Probably the odd filly out, in what is a very tough race. I hate the post. Will need a whole lot of luck to overcome this spot, but in race like this, anything can happen.
10 ABBIJADE HANOVER Didn't really fire in that tough spot last week. We all know her game is speed, and from post 10 she isn't taking back in this spot. Has to go forward, but can't be overused either. A difficult task ahead.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 5-1-6-8
H Horse Comment
1 ELRAMA N Battled willingly all the way last week, so let's expect another top level try from the rail with Brett back. Figures to duke it out with #5,6 at some point. The smoother the trip, the bigger his chances to score. Trainer: My horses are usually ready right off their qualifiers, but this guy needed the start. Time to put up, or shut up!
2 BREAKTIME HANOVER Recent form not exactly outstanding, but it's a fresh face and a new track. Not sure he'll be better here, so I will probably watch one to see if this is the right spot. Overall 1-28 record isn't good either.
3 DRUNKEN DESIRE A It's dangerous to leave these guys out, but I don't think he's a true "win" candidate tonight. Hasn't won yet this year. Owns one rallying move, so timing and trip will be critical. Your call? Trainer: Sharp right now, just got in with a little classier horses.
4 TWINCREEKS JESSE Made up a ton of ground from an impossible spot on Wednesday at Philly. I'm not really a fan of short rest, but we do have to take an extra look here. Wasn't Brett's choice, but does have a shot with these.
5 MORE DRAGON Not sure what the broken equipment was last time, but it may have cost him any chance. A Nap opted here over #2,7 and we know horse has back class. Almost seems overdue to win one of these. Maybe tonight.
6 MISTER TRUTH Yannick took a big shot with this fella last week, sailing down the road. Horse did get a little tired late, but this is yet another drop. After that speed tightener, he'll be ready tonight. The one to catch and beat?
7 WINDSONG JACK Off a long layoff here, but a good qualifier. I still think he's going to need a race or two. If I'm wrong, then Jack will beat me. I'll be watching closely for future consideration.
8 DUNE DUDE The Dude had to need that race last week, after the scratch. It was too tough a spot anyway. This is more like it, but the post is a killer. He doesn't exactly blast out of the gate, so completely at mercy of pace and trip.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 3-4-1-8
H Horse Comment
1 K-LEES SHAKENBAKE Jimmy had options in here and took this fella over #5,10. Horse took a ton of money last time and I'm not sure why. This is a slightly softer spot and he got the rail. All systems say "go" for tonight.
2 BRICKMAN Off a layoff here, so that's a problem. If barn's other starters did well tonight, that might give you a gauge on this one's readiness. Horse likes to win, so we have to guess tonight. I'm hoping he needs a start.
3 TRAVEL PLAYLIST I guess it's wakeup call time for this fella. Kind of just toured the oval in a much tougher spot last week. He wasn't exactly exploding, but still paced faster than most of these can. Any better, he probably wins.
4 ITS JUST TOO MUCH Recent efforts just okay at Freehold. I don't like the 1-22 record this year, but I do like the switch to Yannick. He can wake one up as good as anybody. Don't be shocked if this horse races better tonight.
5 STRATOCASTER Back from Monti where he didn't race too well. Prior starts here were against mostly weaker. I think he's in too tough with these, but I've been wrong before. Demand fair value if you fancy his chances.
6 STARZNHEAVEN Jumped up with a big one, given a perfect trip and drive from Andy Mac. He's back aboard, and note that horse is "written" into the race. This is NW9,000. He's earned $8,780. Won't be 12-1 this time, however. Trainer: Trained good!
7 SISKEL 3YO is going okay right now. Been up and down the class ladder, but hasn't had much luck. This looks like another difficult spot, but Simon takes a shot and sends every once in a while. He might opt for that in here.
8 MR BAILANDO Poor horse has to be a bit tired by now. Pretty much every recent race a tough trip. Unfortunately, he keeps racing well. Gets slammed with another brutal post. I wouldn't leave him off the ticket, though. Your call?
9 NOBLES FINESSE Showed little when hiked up to this level last time. Same boat here. Bad post. Pass.
10 ROCKIN THE HOUSE Where's he going from post 10 on the ship in? My guess is not very far. Let's watch one.
