H Horse Comment
1 SOMETHINK TASTY That wasn't a bad educational first start up at Saratoga. The colt did go faster, and he should continue to improve here. I don't think he's quick enough to win just yet, but I'll be watching for more later on.
2 NOTENOUGH FOR ME Now 0-28 and counting, and with some issues behind the starting gate. Guess I'd like to see one here first, before I could consider. A pass for me for now.
3 STONEDUST Another on the slow and steady trail of getting to the races. Comes out of same Spa race as #1, but this is a 3YO. Is he really ready to put it all together? Probably not. I'll rate him a longshot in here as well.
4 NATIVE'S BEST BET Hasn't shown much, either here or at Yonkers, so he's tough to like in this spot. Dismiss.
5 LONG BEACH Gets the tepid call as fave, in a pretty wide open race. Some questions, though. Lots of missed time after the sick scratch, but he clearly shows more ability than many of the others. If primed and ready, can win.
6 BAG PIPE MAJOR Still waiting on a wakeup call for this guy and you never know when it may come. A touch of post relief, but I'd still like to see more speed. At least he's gone faster than many, so that is a plus. Pilot helps too!
7 SNEAK ON BYE Used early in the pace battle last week and kind of paid the price late. This scenario looks a lot easier for him to get to the front and watch out, speed can go a long way in a race like this. Have to respect that.
8 BET THE DRAGON Yes, he's just 1-27 lifetime, but that last race stands out! Chased an uncatchable winning favorite, but the finish was solid. My only knock here is the post, so Jimmy will have to get him into the game. Your call?
9 ROCKME SOCKS OFF Note the improved effort in second try on Lasix. Transitions from Monti for this, but pilot has shocked us once this meet. Horse will have to go a little faster than the last time we saw him here.
10 CHEYENNE REIJANE Another one-for. This fella gets slammed with post 10 for mile track try and I suggest you get fair value, if you fancy his chances. I'm not so sure.
2 Second Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 SCHOLZ Made no real impact in last two at this level. Was also huge odds. Figures to be the same again.
2 ULTIMATE FLYER N Up from Philly with six wins on his card, and recent races against far better. This is the kind of drop that usually pays off, and he has a key inside post to boot. Will try to get the jump on #6. I like that.
3 HEADLIGHTS ON One of the many shippers from Saratoga that are taking a shot here. Some will make it, and some won't. Drew a few tough posts up there recently, so I'm willing to give him a chance here. Still needs to go faster.
4 SOFER Performed a little bit better than #3 up north. I'm not going to call him a "win machine" with all those second place finishes, but I will respect his speed. Plots for a good trip here. Let's see if he picks up game on mile track.
5 DEEPFAVE HANOVER Paced in 53 in three straight and earned only one check to show for it. That might be the goal again, but midpack post is ideal. Likely to be stalking early and will have to find a bigger knockout punch somehow.
6 SPANISH ART Wow, what a difference in the effort from this gelding last time. One of two wins for the barn, earning our "Trainer of the Week" honors. This is a step up in class, and a loss of the catch driver. Horse also in sale 1/15.
7 WHATA TWIST Tough to get real excited about this gelding shipping up the Turnpike from Freehold. This race figures to go in 52 or 53 and he's paced nowhere near that. A lot to prove here.
8 BANK SEA Clearly struggled that one time we saw him here. Quickly regressed into a miscue back up at Monti after that, and gets stuck with a rough post upon return. Not too many positives in this corner, folks.
9 NO TALKING The third of the "Saratoga Trio" shipping south was just okay in those same races up there. IF you told me that Billy D would find a way to invent some speed, I'd tell you that maybe he can fit here. Bad post hurts.
10 CLOUSEAU HANOVER This is probably the key to the race, because he packs decent speed. His stamina level might be a bit suspect, but he needed that qualifier and could easily improve off that. Won't need a whole lot more.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 2-5-1-8
H Horse Comment
1 BUD BAY Left Philly on a solid winning note, much to the delight of bettors! Meets a few familiar faces as he invades to Club Med and steps up in class. I can't guarantee he'll like it here, but I do respect that speed from the pole.
2 SUNSHINE WEST Liked him last week and he did race well, although not well enough. Can't argue with horse's consistency, as he transitions to different class here. I think he fits, and Brett did opt here. Another chance?
3 ROCKIN HANK Awfully well-traveled of late, but it does seem like he's tailed off a touch, right? Has faced some pretty tough company along the way, but I will note that barn listed Brett and didn't get him. That's telling call.
4 REACH FOR ETERNITY Returns to Club Med sporting a 1-29 slate this year. Still a longshot in my opinion.
5 STAKEOUT Finds his way to the Meadowlands off two straight mistakes, so that's hard to like. The prior wins at Rosecroft and Philly are easy to like. Which Stake shows up tonight? Wish I knew, because A Nap takes the call.
6 FERNADO Not exactly ultra-consistent, is he? BUT, I will note that win on 12/6 was pretty solid. That's the type of kick that usually does well here. If the pace and trip were right, he could come up big in the late stages. Price?
7 JOHN DALLY I'll note that this horse has won here before, but he just doesn't seem sharp right now. It's always hard to predict a complete return to form, and that's what he would need in this spot. Post won't help either.
8 NORTHERN SPY Sharp right now, and on all size tracks, so that catches my eye. He's got speed too, so I won't worry about the outer post. I imagine this is the horse to beat in here, but I don't think the price will be huge. Your call?
9 IMPRESSIVE ART Another that does own a win here, but that came from a pole position start, given a perfect trip and drive from Kyle. This is now post nine, in a field full of speedsters. I'm not sure that's going to work out tonight.
10 AMERICANFIREWATER Kind of rode the rail in same race as #2 last week. Not helped much by the switch to this post and he will likely have way to far to come from the back of the pack.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 1-5-2-7
H Horse Comment
1 JUSTIFIED Moves from post 10 to the pole, so that immediate raises his profile. I think he's got a great shot in here or Eric A, especially since several in here are question marks. This horse usually tries hard. It's time to get picture taken!
2 LOTS OF LOVIN Lone 3YO finds his way to Club Med after a miscue in the Philly finale. His first try there was pretty good, and at long odds. Went pretty fast up in Mass. before that. I guess I can make a small case for success here.
3 REASONABLE FORCE Over from Yonkers on a slight drop, but his form is a little bit suspect of late. I can't exactly guarantee he'll be better here, plus I'll add that Jimmy had choice and chose here. Big call. Wakeup call coming?
4 SOUTHERN PURSUIT N Coming off a sick scratch, three weeks off and some dull recent races. Not for me.
5 STIRLING ESCORT Tyler took a shot and put this fella in a good spot upon arrival, but horse clearly lacked the knockout punch. Owns just two wins this year. I guess he would have to improve with that race under belt.
6 ASTOR Some decent races on the half mile tracks lately. Lots of up and down the class ladder, though. I'll note that he did win here last year. Should offer square odds, so if you need a longshot on your ticket, this is good as any.
7 ONEISALONELYNUMBER Hit the board by saving ground last week. The rail start definitely helped, and now he's stuck with the seven box. Did blast out here before that. Are we going to see the speed again? Wish I knew.
8 DAVID'S DREAM Never really got rolling from this same post last time. I don't envision him blasting out tonight, so he's completely at mercy of pace and trip. Not sure this is going to work out for Dave tonight.
9 NEPTUNE Where on earth did that mile come from last time? I don't have answer to that, but it sure was impressive. Jimmy had the option for re-ride, but chose #3. With that said, I guess we'll have to pass, based on that choice.
10 ROCKET J Exploded home for that win two back when everything worked out for him. Didn't pack quite the same punch in the claimer, and I don't anticipate huge value here with Brett aboard. Horse is sale bound January 15.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 5-4-1-10
H Horse Comment
1 WORTH THE MONEY AS Squeezing in for the condition here, so horse is allowed to drop a little. Gets a very key inside post, since he's not a quick starter. He IS a good finisher, though, and look who takes call? Hot hands!
2 ROCK OF CASHEL Off since August and only one qualifier. That's not enough to have him ready. Pass.
3 BROADWAY CONCERT Parlayed a perfect trip and drive into a big win when last seen three weeks ago. Dec. 9th was the snow night, so I'm not worried about that. More concerned with a big step up in class. Would need very best.
4 SOUTHWIND COBRA Did a little of the dirty work last week and just got outkicked late by #10. Still, it was solid try and note how the posts are switched now. Owns more than enough speed to try and control it. Good luck!
5 IRON MINE BUCKY Another that "slides" in for the condition and is razor sharp right now. The post relief to midpack spot is huge for him, so he just stay a bit closer. That kick home is monstrous! The one to fear late stages.
6 BIG EXPENSE This is a pretty nice trotter for Kyle that usually gives his all. He competes willingly on all size tracks. Will he need a race to get mile track legs back under him? I'm going to say yet, but will be watching very closely.
7 SECOND SISTER Well-traveled of late, and with some success. Ended up working her way too high in class, so this is the first step back down. I'm not in love with this spot, so will probably pass and watch one. Might need further relief.
8 LAZURUS Grinding 7YO is versatile, so some speed might be needed from this tough post. He's also won here before, but will need a few things to go his way. Likely needs a smooth trip and we can never guarantee that. In sale 1/15.
9 DRESSED TO IMPRESS Moves from pole to post nine, so that's a problem. Would need giant mile tonight.
10 WAITING ON A WOMAN How sharp is this guy right now? Perfect drive from Super Brett to win last week, but he'll need some similar luck to overcome this post. There is some other speed in here, so this is tough call at short price.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 5-7-8-10
H Horse Comment
1 ELM GROVE INARUSH Barn scored with an 85-1 shot last, so I guess anything is possible! This mare makes second start back off layoff and gets a touch of class relief. I would suggest you get big price, if you fancy her chances.
2 AMANDEROSA One of four in here shipping over from Yonkers. Beat weaker with a strong speed effort two back from an inside post. Seemed to navigate Philly pretty well, so let's see if she goes faster here on mile track.
3 WHEN SHARKS FLY Really turned things around over past three weeks at Philly, but that track is now closed. This is not an easy field she's facing tonight, so nothing less than A-1 best will get it done. How good is she? We'll see.
4 GO FOR SAND Struggled here at long odds off the sick scratch. Might even be in tougher here. I will pass.
5 OK HEAVENLY Absolutely flew home from a long way back for the hot hands last week. She'd been sitting on a big one like that for a while. Now, it's her turn to have post edge on the classier mares below. Only needs to be close.
6 SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR One of a few in here that squeeze in for the condition. However, in reality, it's a very difficult spot. This mare looks like a one-way closer. Do you think she can outkick #5? I don't. I'll probably watch one here.
7 BEST OF JENNA What do we do here? Shows a scratch, so a couple week layoff. She shows open company races at Yonkers where she did okay. She shows crushing a conditioned field last month. Will she be that good here on mile?
8 SALLY FLETCHER A Can't really fault this lass right now either! She runs into some serious bearcats here, however. Marched right up the class ladder out of town, so this is the big test tonight on the big track. Sally likes to fight too!
9 TRUTH AND LIBERTY Was vicious when last seen here, and beat Cousin Mary, who came back to win. However, she's not exactly "rewarded" with this post or class assignment. I think she could be a touch overmatched with these.
10 WINDSUN GLORY The final question mark, in a field full of them. MIA since TVG night on Nov. 25. That's one month ago. She did okay too! Has a big class edge on most of these, but is she primed and ready for best? Wish I knew.
7 Seventh Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 BIG TOP HANOVER Paid instant dividends for the new barn at Philly. Showed some guts to dig in and hold on too! The mile was a fast one, but this is a huge step up in class. Is he really this good? I'm not so sure.
2 PONYTA BOY I think we all still remember that vicious rally for the huge upset. Found himself just a touch overmatched vs. Christen Me and Sweet Rock last week. Still, he picked up a check. That's the goal again.
3 ALLBLACK STRIDE N First start in North America off just one fair qualifier. He's not ready for this just yet.
4 SWEET ROCK Arguably went a huge race vs. Christen Me last week. Was digging in for all he was worth, and simply put, that mile stands out! If he's that good again, the rest will be chasing. Inside post helps a lot too!
5 ARTISTIC MAJOR Comes up with a big one every now and then and I don't usually guess right. He does lose the regular drive tonight, and that's a very telling call. Might need a touch of class relief before we see best again.
6 ALWAYS AT MY PLACE Also razor sharp right now, but he gets forced up in class like this, problems arise! I don't think he's quite as good as #4,7 right now, so I will prefer them for the moment. Will have to beat me, if he can.
7 SOTO Here's the other classy possibility! Can't fault this hard-trying 5YO in any way and he can handle the mile track too! Fact that he drew outside, whereas #4 drew inside, might be the key. Also gets the "hot hands" in the bike.
8 MACINTOSH N Yonkers specialist invades, but into an almost impossible spot with a bad post. Not my type.
9 MELMERBY BEACH That was a BIG mile he uncorked last week. Got by a classy, well-rated foe, and did it in style. This, however is huge hike up, a switch to a bad post, and a loss of Brett. That all adds up to a pass for me.
10 CHEVALS CLIVESDALE Basically stole two straight races over at Yonkers, but that's clearly not going to happen here. Let's call it a case of the post 10 blues! Would need a career best effort to beat this bunch.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 1-7-10-9
H Horse Comment
1 VANQUISHED N Finally gets a break at the post draw, so that raises his profile. That, plus the class drop makes a big difference and I think he's got a solid chance in here. Might offer the right price to take a swing. At value only.
2 JK WILL POWER Certainly racing well here so far. He's forced up in class a notch tonight, however, and that could be a problem. Most of these are dropping, so I always hesitate to try a hiker, in field full of plungers. Sale bound Jan. 15.
3 ART HISTORY Last start was first where he was a little flat late. I always respect the speed, but feel he could be a tad overmatched against a group like this. Not for me tonight, but a bounce back is always possible. In sale Jan. 15.
4 MACHAMILLION N Has that one start under his belt, but it did come at Freehold, not here. That could be key! This race figures to go around 1:50. Is this import really ready to go that fast? I'm going to guess no. I will wait.
5 SHINOBU HANOVER Over from Yonkers and into what I think is way too tough of a spot. Not my type here.
6 WINDSONG JACK Didn't even win either of last pair against weaker, and forced way up. That's not gonna work.
7 ALOTBETTOR N Sneaks into this race on the NW$125K life condition. That last wakeup call win was an eye-catcher. Will we see that same speed here? Will need all of that, and then some to beat a very good group. Your call?
8 CHEYENNE SEEBER Missed three weeks sick and gets slammed with a real tough post, against a high-quality bunch. I guess I have to rate him a longshot for now. Also might not be at his best here. We'll find out.
9 JACKSRLUCKYTOO Jack is pretty sharp right now too! Don't let last line fool you, as he had no chance in there. This is a spot where he belongs, but the post will make things tough on Jimmy. Jack doesn't usually leave too hard.
10 FOILED AGAIN Welcome back to the Med to the ageless wonder! 13YO Foiled takes a turn in NJ after racing well anywhere he goes. I do wish he'd drawn a better post, but I'm anxious and happy to see him race again.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 9-1-4-6
H Horse Comment
1 MORE DRAGON Iron tough 4YO is back in good form, and clearly fits at this level, especially from the rail. This post gives pilot options, because the Dragon can leave or grind. Might be pretty hard to deny if he comes up good again.
2 PERSEVERANT Freshened up for three months and came back with pretty good qualifier. I do believe he might need one more to get legs fully under him. He also might get a touch of class relief when in next week.
3 SOVEREIGN BANNER N This horse doesn't race a lot, but he does get the job done once in a while. I'm not sure he'll be as good here on the big track, so I'll rate him a medium longshot. Will have to prove it to me here.
4 GAIUS CRASTINUS Been plying his trade on smaller tracks last few months and with a bit of success. Seemed to improve a bit when Brett drove last time at Philly. Brett listed, but chose #8. Mixed signals. Should grind into it.
5 MR BLISSFULL Has a few good starts on view, and this is a bit of a drop. Pilot has brought home a couple of live longshots recently, so this isn't the worst stab ever. I like the post and potential for smooth trip. A big maybe.
6 BULLET BOB Coming back off a long layoff from May. He won here on Derby day too, so something must have gone wrong after that. Surely needed that "prep" down at Freehold, so he could be primed and ready here. Your call?
7 J T That last try here was uninspiring. It's the same class level and the same tough post. Tough to like a lot.
8 MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT Suffering a good case of the post position blues. That may have caused the "sick" scratch last time? Anyway, it's still bad spot here, but Brett chose this one. At least that's a positive despite post.
9 JENERAL PATTON This fella took a lot of money, and an aggressive try last week. I must note that speed horses seemed to be at a disadvantage last Saturday. This is a drop, so I'm more than willing to give another chance.
10 ENDEAVOR Stepping way, way up and slammed with post 10. That is NOT a recipe for success around here.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 MCCLINCHIE N Here's another Yonkers invader on the class drop with a good post and a chance to win. He's not the only dropper in here, so it won't be easy, but I can sense a big try coming. Seeking first win in North America.
2 MY MIND IS MADEUP Picked up a minor share most recently, but he doesn't seem overly sharp. I'll pass here.
3 DEMOCRACY N 9YO veteran has won here before, and returns in the perfect spot to get lucky. Switches to Brett on the slight drop, and he went a big trip in defeat last out. That type of effort would be good enough to win this.
4 JOHNNY Q Picked a fine time to uncork a big mile for Austin last Saturday. That was the type of trip you needed to win on that night, however. Here, horse is forced back up in class against a few droppers. This ain't gonna be easy!
5 SPINARAMA Joe B had a few options in here and chose this fella over #6,8. Coming out of similar races as #1, and one of them is liable to step up big here. You'll just have to guess which one! That's not an easy call either.
6 SOUTHWIND GENERAL Lone 3YO transitions over from Yonkers and into an odd spot here. When Joe B opts off a Burke trainee, that almost immediately makes it a toss for me. I let him do the handicapping for me.
7 DASHBOARD Down from Monti for a big track try and it's nice to see Cushing get a catch drive. He does have his work cut out with this horse, however. I believe these may be too quick for him. We'll find out. 43rd start of year.
8 SMILEANDSAYCHEESE The "other" 3YO was able to win one, in an even weaker spot over there. He's a pass here.
9 MAJOR LEGACY One of these nights, a race is going to set up for his wicked late kick. I do not believe that tonight is that night, though!. Will probably need some additional class relief, and a better post to do some damage.
10 BIG JER Everything barn is sending out is firing, so let's expect Jer to take a shot and fire out here. Horse does have natural speed, so no sense taking back to last. That could set up interesting pace scenario. Chance at a price.

1 CARDIAC FASHION Speed horses just weren't holding up well last Saturday night, so let's give this guy a break for the loss. Has the pole here, transitioning to claimers. That could easily work out well. Might need a trip, however.
2 DURANT Paid off at low odds on the big class drop down at Philly. Begins his ascent back up the ladder tonight and I have to feel this is too tough a spot. Not quite my type, even from the inside post.
3 GIVEN UP TERROR Also up from Philly, and also off a win, but wasn't Brett's choice this time. I'll pass too!
4 MR MATCH ON BEACH Pocket rocketed home to win over at Yonkers. I would rate this a similar bunch, and A Nap has driven him to a win already. They could do it again, provided the trip is just as smooth. One of the possibilities.
5 FLEM N EM N 12YO is down from Saratoga and into a pretty rough spot here. I'm going to guess that the big track isn't going to aid his cause to go fast enough. So, I will let him beat me, if he can.
6 COPPER COAST A Paid instant dividends off the claim two back, and then had a rough, wide trip in the follow up. This is the perfect spot for him to take a big track try, and with Corey aboard, don't expect a huge price. Big chance.
7 KINGS BARNS All these Yonkers horses coming out of similar races. Here's another. Looks like he showed some guts to win last, with a tough trip. If he likes to fight that hard, maybe we should play again? Must overcome post as closer.
8 HUGH HEFNER N Same boat as all the YR invaders, except that this one gets Brett Miller. One of them will prove to like the mile track, but we all have to guess which one. At least this guy has the speed to fire out of the gate.
9 OUR JERRY LEE N Jerry hasn't been in a claimer in a while, so I wonder if anybody will dip in. It's a possibility. Horse is not known for having much early speed, though. That will work against him in this spot. Demand value if you like.
10 WE THINK ALIKE Didn't really make a strong impact when last seen here against lesser. With that said, he's a tough take tonight from post 10 against better claimers. Even from these connections, I have to prefer others.

1 TELL US MORE Yes, that's 18 wins this year, but they sure didn't come recently at Yonkers. Claimed for $50K last month and not much since. This is a drop on the move over from Yonkers, but is it enough for a wakeup call?
2 E STREET PLAN Did pretty well in tough spots recent races. Finds his way to Club Med, and he's got some speed. A rare Tyler drive for the Burke Brigade. I wouldn't completely eliminate him here. Might get a nice trip.
3 ACTING OUT Another of the invader/droppers hoping for a big wakeup call. They are awfully hard to predict, but don't be shocked if this horse raced better here. He's a grinder, but from a good inside post. Your call?
4 SIR MACHALOT Was the ONLY horse to win on front end last Saturday, but in reality, he was supposed to win in that spot. It was huge drop and he simply controlled the race. Trust me, it's not going to be that easy again. Must earn it.
5 AMERICANPRIMETIME Gotta love this guy! Fought tooth and nail against the bias last week. Ordinarily, I'd love him on drop like this, but this field is full of other droppers too! He's going to have to earn it, but I will hop on board.
6 ALLSTAR PARTNER Brett had some options in here and chose this guy over #8,10. That did surprise me a bit, so let's take an extra look. Horse blasted and fought the bias last week. Paced in 50! So, that was BIG effort. Coming again?
7 OH JOHNNY B GOOD N Paid off when well-backed for last Yonkers win. This spot will be substantially more difficult. I would suggest you get a bigger price, if you fancy him here. Might be in too tough now.
8 SOHO LENNON A I thought Brett might take this fella, on the huge class drop. He did not. So, what do we do now, having drawn another bad post. If you tell me he's leaving, I would tell you to use! Wish I knew answer to that.
9 SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP Seems like the whole world bet on this guy last week and he rated perfectly on front end, and still couldn't hold on. It was against the bias, though. It was a good try, and he stays in same class, but tougher post.
10 SETTLEMOIR Can't like 'em all, so I'll take a pass on this guy after the disappointing loss at even money.

1 ITS JUST TOO MUCH Returns to the Med with that one lonely win this year. Didn't race badly here couple weeks ago. Has the rail now to aid that speed. Only needs to find a touch more stamina to stay close enough. Usable.
2 LORD OF MISRULE Freshened up by Scotty D and has that race under his belt. This sure looks like a prime spot to drop and pop with Andy, right? I think so. I'll hop on board and hope he's ready to tackle #3. That one hikes up.
3 ELRAMA N Trainer Russo warned us last week in his program comment. Said horse has flat tire, etc. week before. I guess he was right! Gelding uncorked a MUCH improved effort to win on the drop. Now he starts back up ladder.
4 WESTERN BAYAMA Should be over whatever ailed him in October. That was deceptively good prep over at Yonkers and an obvious improvement. If you think the faves are vulnerable, then I wouldn't talk you off this guy. Maybe.
5 WILD AGAIN Took a month off and came back with solid qualifier. Brett opted here over #6, so pay extra attention. I know horse is just 2-30 this year, but he has chance to add to that total. Perfect post to sit and stalk early.
6 CRUZING HILL Never really got rolling in that disappointing effort last week. Was favored and lost before that too! Brett drove both times and opted to #5 tonight. Isn't that telling us something? I think so. I'll go against.
7 PERFECTLY CLOSE Lone 3YO in here has been pretty flat down at Philly. This does look like a softer spot, but Corey didn't choose him tonight. I can see that he has speed, but I'm worried about the mile track stamina. We'll find out.
8 TWINCREEKS JESSE Been just fair of late. Gets stuck with another brutal post. I don't see him leaving. Not for me.
9 BRUCE'S MAGIC Of the horses drawn outside, Bruce probably has the best chance. He's faced better along the way, and goes second time Lasix tonight. I'm tossing that last one, and expecting a lot more tonight. I will use!
10 IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW Missed a month. Draws post 10. I will wait for a softer spot somewhere down the road.

1 ENERGY SHAKES This doesn't look like the right spot for a big wakeup call. That's what he would need.
2 JK ALLNITELONG Recent Yonkers form is pretty flat. Sports a less-than-desirable 1-30 slate this year. Won only twice last year. Do you really think he can wake back up here on mile track? I don't. Pass.
3 SHOW ME UP Could we be looking at shortest-priced favorite of night? Maybe. Sports two straight blowout wins. Races in the same class. Has plenty of versatile speed and drew a good inside post. What's not to like?
4 PARTY JAMMER Made no real big impact with that wide move upon arrival. I can't exactly guarantee he's going to be any stronger tonight. The inside post will keep him close, but a bigger kick is required to have upset chance.
5 MIGHTY TOUCH Looks like he squandered good chance from the rail at Freehold. You can't forgive tiring effort like that, because you don't draw the rail all that often. The catch here is switch to Brett Miller. Maybe that will aid speed.
6 LUKES COWBOY Another that just looks flat in most recent races. Did race well last time Billy Mann drove, so maybe that will wake the gelding up. Hard to predict that, but a live outer flow would help. Still a big price, in my opinion.
7 IDEAL SHADOW I guess this is your best option, if you want to try and beat the favorite. Chased #3 willingly with Corey last week and figures to fire out and make a race of it again. Only needs a bit more to try and get by.
8 WORKANDPLAYHARD Here's the other "option" if you want a bit of a price. Unfortunately gets stuck outside the other main speeds, so that's an issue. Stamina also looks like an issue, but A Nap got along with him two back.
9 RESTLESS He's got some speed too, but the worst of the posts. Barn listed Corey and didn't get him. Since horse stopped last time, maybe it's time to give him one from the back? We'll find out tonight.
10 SKY IS THE LIMIT Now 0-30 on the year and I sure don't see him sweeping the entire field. Unless we get some sort of total mayhe, this fella will probably be too far back to do any damage. I'll wait for better spot.
