1 BA BA BA BANANA Gained a little experience over past two tries in Pennsy, and even took some betting action in the last one. I wouldn't be shocked to see a much improved effort here on big track. Watch the board!
2 BELLE'S DELIGHT Filly from the Burke Brigade picked up much needed confidence down at Freehold with recently added Lasix, but still might be in tough here. Likely to be a bit overbet, and she will have to go a lot faster now.
3 THRILLONTHEBEACH Looks like a stone closer, and regressed into a miscue at the gate last time. I don't see a whole lot of pace pressure in here, so she might need to get lucky to jump up and win this. A big maybe in spot like this.
4 RICKY'S QUICKIE Sent east to Team Harmon from Iowa connections, driver Nick Roland, maybe? Off Lasix. I like the look of that Yonkers race, as a prep. Was the big track the plan all along? Let's take a long look at her on the track.
5 NURSE PIE Q Homebred was sent south from Canada to Croghan for some east coast experience. The qualifier was solid, so I have a feeling there is talent here! Seems ready to roll off that, and should give #2 all she can handle.
6 THE SECOND STAR On the fringe in a spot like this. Not sure she's the best of these, but she does try and seems consistent. The post might be biggest problem, since she doesn't fly out of the gate. Usable underneath.
7 SWEETEST DEVOTION Might be the "key' to the race, since she does have speed. Looks like a work in progress, with Lasix tried only once. The big track starts haven't been her best, so I wonder about that. Need to see a good one here.

1 IRON DOME Awfully good since Team Harmon took over! That is a BIG mile in last down at Philly, so we need to take a long look here. The price might even be right. Plots for super trip from the pole start. Can't ignore, if value right. Trainer: Raced really well last start. Stepped up in class today. Should be okay.
2 TYMAL REIGN Was good enough to win a couple up north for different barn. Seems to have tailed off, but new homes sometimes wake fillies up. Won't be easy to reverse form and beat the boys, but I've seen stranger.
3 AMBER ELLA Simply put, didn't come back as strong this year at three. Won four as a freshman, and none so far as a sophomore. With that said, she's been in some real tough spot, so this is perfect to regain confidence. Usable.
4 CHAPTER TOO Been suffering a case of the "post position blues" while on the stakes trail. Don't be too hard on her. With that said, she's snuck into the gimmicks a few times vs. solid rivals. I wouldn't be shocked if she got it all here.
5 SOUTHWIND HYDRO Used very hard in that stakes at Hoosier and paid the price. The hopples are now off for this guy, and he had many good efforts here this year. Deserves to be favored, but will need his best to win it. Trainer: Raced well last start after a little layoff. Got shuffled by a breaking horse, or would've finished closer.
6 SIBSON Doesn't appear to be a match for these right now, and post won't help matters. A pass for me.
7 ROMANCING RACHEL Last of the fillies in here has a lot of experience, but not that many wins. She's been racing in stakes down at Freehold and now transitions back to big track. Will have to go a lot faster here. Expect some speed.

1 LOTHARIO Colt with impeccable pedigree debuts off an even looking qualifier, but don't be fooled. I'm guessing there is talent in this tank and we're liable to see a lot more tonight. Let's see if he's primed and ready to roll!
2 GIRL TALK A 2YO in against some older males is not usually a recipe for success. Shows a couple of breaks on smaller tracks. I'm going to watch one, to see if the mile oval picks up her game. Likely to sit, save ground early.
3 ROYSONS TUFFGUY Certainly a "project horse" in Camp Toscano, but he has flashed solid speed at times. Can't really say I like the look of that qualifier, but he did stay trotting. That's the mission tonight: stay trotting!
4 GLIDER MAN That win in September down at Philly was strong! Did well in the Kindergarten leg last time up at Vernon, so the big track helps. This is probably the 2YO with the best chance in here. Let's stay onstride, please! Trainer: Coming along nicely. Raced well last start at Vernon. Hoping to improve some off of that.
5 TOUGHER THAN EVER 1-23 lifetime, so I will classify this guy as an underachiever. Seems to have tried every size track, so I don't which is his best. I like the post. Will likely tag along and possibly pick off a few tired ones late.
6 MASTER OF THE HILL Tough to get a real read on this fella, but when he's good, he's good! That really wasn't a bad try last time out at Hoosier against much better. I don't see much betting value, but if he trots, he has big chance.
7 FREE RANGE CHIKIN Hopples went on for the "Chick Fil A" special. they didn't exactly speed him up. Needs more.
8 DUDE HANOVER Doesn't appear fast enough on paper. Definitely a longshot from an outside post like this.
9 O'DOYLE RULES Another that simply seems overmatched against a group like this, and the lack of speed from a bad post doesn't aid the cause. Hard to like a lot.
10 ROAD LIGHT At least this mare has some speed, so she has chance to get into the game early. When I look at her record, I'm not considering for win spot, but I'm not leaving her off the ticket. Adds some value, if she sneaks in.

1 MUSIC IS ART One of the 3YO's stuck in a tough spot against faster, older foes. The rail, and recently added Lasix help, and that mile in the Bluegrass wasn't bad. He's fast enough, but perhaps just a touch overmatched.
2 SOME ATTITUDE Definitely a top player up at the Spa, but this is no easy spot. I'm also guessing that mile track stamina could be an issue in a race that could go sub-1:50. Tough call.
3 SAMS TRIPLE CROWN I think we all remember the kind of year Sam has had here. Yes, he tailed off just a touch in July/Aug, but he's bounced back nicely since. Proven against older foes. Nice prep at home base. Sam is ready!
4 CALVIN B Also tough to get a full read on Cal when he shows up at Club Med. Not many recent races here were good enough. He is tough, though, and getting a touch of class relief. Nice post. Will grind his way into it late. Trainer: Sharp right now! Hoping for a good trip in here.
5 ONTARIO SUCCESS Catches the perfect spot to flaunt his strong early speed. I remember a couple of his solid efforts here this year. Yannick gets the call again and I suspect this fella will be going forward off the wings.
6 EXPRESS STRIDE N Our congrats to Vic Kirby on career win 4,000 couple weeks ago! That's nice milestone for talented pilot. His best effort here might get the gelding a check. Seems a tad overmatched against these.
7 LYONS SNYDER Any time Lyon is in a race, it presents handicappers with a headache. Limitless speed and talent, but he could break at any time. Mark Silva taking a turn training now, and first Lasix. I have no idea what to expect. Your call?
8 VILLE VALO Has turned into a great sale purchase earlier this year. I think it was $32K? Developed into a nice, mid-level type pace with versatile speed. And it's Big M training debut for Jenn B. Not easy spot, but horse tries hard.
5 Fifth Race Entries

1 LOGETTA HANOVER Been tagging along on the lower end of the stakes circuit and was good enough to make the final. I don't think she's good enough to win, but the pole position might get her a check. Sits in, keeps up. Trainer: Coming along nicely. Last time at Big M, trotted home in 26.4. Not bad for a two-year-old filly.
2 VENUS DUHARAS That's a nice confidence builder in last at Philly, but judging by odds, she wasn't in against much. Flashed strong speed in the preliminary legs here. She's a factor from the inside post, and should get a trip.
3 DAB HANOVER Speaking of speed, this lass has some too! Stole one at a big price in the summer. Biggest rivals in here are stuck outside. A prime candidate for upset as long as she's over that sickness. Should stay trotting too!
4 PIRANHA FURY Been knocking on the door all year, but hasn't won one yet. Regressed a little with those breaks, but last qualifier has her on right track. Likely to stalk, hope for a hot pace and she can finish. Not out of the question.
5 MARIA DEO Nifty has four in here. Yes! Four! Effort up at Vernon was best one yet. Didn't have easy trip, but dug in to hold her ground. Still a longshot with these, but if she keeps improving, it will help. Demand big price if you like.
6 STRENGTH OFA WOMAN The hopples came off and she got around track successfully. This looks little too tough.
7 BASQUIAT What happened out at Hoosier. Seemed to sailing along on an easy lead and just stopped. Was absolutely super prior to that, so we have to guess. The "good" Basquiat can certainly win this. But, a short price looms too!
8 MEGADOLCE Final entrant for barn hasn't won one yet. This is tough post, but filly is versatile enough to do it either way. With that said, I question her "willingness" to win, so I will use underneath, but not on top.
9 HEY BLONDIE Been going strong all season, but with 11 starts, it's been a long campaign. Speed is not her game, so this post looks like a killer. Hoping for some action up front, so she can unleash her rally. Needs very best.
10 MOOSHKA STRIDE Ended our meet on a high note with that exploding inside win. I thought that would propel her into a much better streak, but it did not. Now, it's post 10. She faces a long, uphill climb from out here. Trainer: Been ok against stakes horses, but was sick last start at Chester. Seems good now, but tough post.

1 GRAND THEFT Had that nice win up at Plainridge and is now in a new barn. No real factor in that Saratoga race, but note his history here. Gets a cozy inside post and could easily wake up and threaten this group. Adds Yannick. Trainer: Like the big track, rail and Yannick. Also trained good this week. All positives!
2 GIVEN UP TERROR Squeezes in for the condition, despite hitting the board last time. Not really sure he's at his best here on the mile track, but he does tag along and keep up. Would be hard to leave him completely off ticket.
3 HIGH OCTANE N 11YO warhorse got a month off, and I do remember a few good efforts here in the summer. He's another that will need a few things to go his way, but it's not out of the question. Will offer the right price, if you like.
4 VOICE OF TRUTH Making first start of the year, after a year off. Qualifier was slow, so I will pass and watch one.
5 STARZNHEAVEN Down from the Spa where he was up and down the class ladder. Took his mark here last year, so keep that in mind. I like the versatility he shows, and I also like the midpack post. A "live" drive for Chris Scicluna.
6 MR BAILANDO Joe B ends up on this class dropper. It's always hard to predict a total turnaround, but it does happen occasionally. Shows pacing in 51 and 52. That would be enough to get him into the hunt. I'd consider using.
7 RING WARRIOR Finds his way back up the Turnpike after some decent efforts at Freehold. Stamina was his problem here earlier. He's got the speed, but doesn't always finish it off. One of the many possibilities in this wide open race.
8 SIPPIN ON SUDS Over from Philly on a significant class drop. There are no eye-openers in here, so a big return to form by this guy wouldn't shock me. The bigger problem is the post, since he doesn't show much speed. A maybe.
9 WEGOTTATRUCKYEA By all rights, he should win this. Check to see if knee spreaders are on or off. He loves the long stretch here, so it's Victor's job just to have him close enough to launch. That should get it done.
10 QUALITY BUD 1-26 this year, so records like that always stand out, in a bad way. Moves from pole to post 10 and a bad effort. But, he also won last start here on Sept. 16, given a perfect trip and drive. Very mixed feelings in pp10.

1 FARSETTI HANOVER Points leader in this division was super rock solid when he started in the summer. The long campaign may be catching up to him, and I can't say I like that break at Vernon. Tries to control it from the rail.
2 MEADOWBRANCH RICKY Also made a break at Vernon last week, so that's a problem. Gets a big switch of post positions, though, and his efforts here were okay. A player for a check in the big $$ final tonight. Sits in, saves.
3 FINAL DREAM Tries a new pilot tonight, with a mixed bag of efforts. Was flat when last seen here. I'll pass.
4 MIDNIGHT EXPRESS S Yannick got along with him on Oct. 13th. Not sure he's fast enough to threaten these, but it's hard to ignore Yannick's presence on anything. The post is ideal to just sit and stalk. We'll see if he has a kick.
5 TITO Went over the $100K plateau with the solid romp up at Vernon. I kind of like this horse. He's been good all year, if just a touch below the best. The midpack post between the faves should be ideal. Give him a big chance in here.
6 DAWSON SPRINGS Did okay out in Kentucky, and then never really got rolling in either the Crown elim or final. This is logical step back and he also probably has a chance. I still need to see a bit more from him late, however.
7 LINDY'S BIG BANG Speed seems like his game, but stamina could still be a slight issue. I don't really envision him setting the pace in here, but a stalking trip could give him a check chance. Likely to be going forward off the wings.
8 HELPISONTHEWAY Colt qualified okay after the series of miscues at the gate. That's always a problem, and when you draw post eight in spot like this, it'll be true test for pilot to keep him onstride. That's the goal here.
9 SEVEN IRON Also over $100K for the season with 10 of 12 on the board. That deserves respect. Has hinted at brilliance at times, but this post is a killer here. Chased #5 last week, but was better than you think. Big shot with Lasix.
10 GLIDE IN THE WIND Let's just see if he can get around onstride tonight. That, plus post 10 make him a pass.

1 REIGN ON ME Didn't have much luck in the Crown final, but she was caught down inside on sloppy track, so I will quickly forgive that. She was solid in the elim, so let's concentrate on that. Tetrick tries from pole. Will be good!
2 I'M TRIGGER HAPPY She's lost only once. Those September efforts here were memorable. Worlds of ability in this tank, and she had perfect prep up at Vernon. Figures to give #1,6 all they can handle for new driver Andy Mac. Trainer: Hasn't missed a beat lately. Sharp and talented.
3 SOLITARY Steve Smith seems to get along with her best. I'm not going to say that she "likes" to win, but always seems to be right there. Post is ideal for the kind of sit and stalk trip she's going to get. A maybe at a big price.
4 KJ'S BEKAH Been rolling along on the stakes circuit, but not with a lot of super success. I feel she's just a bit below these at the moment, so I'll let KJ beat me, if she can. Would need a dream trip and one giant kick.
5 SANDY'S BEACH Kind of the same boat as #4. Been a factor at times, but none of her races leap off the page. Best assets here are post, and pilot that knows her well. It's his job to get some smooth trip and try pick up a share.
6 KISSIN IN THE SAND Had NO chance in the Crown elim, the way that race set up, so don't be too hard on her. She turned in some vicious efforts here, and at the Red Mile. Simply put, if she's good tonight, she's the one to beat. Trainer: Terrible trip in the BC elims, but confident in her chances. She's a fast filly!
7 BLUE GROTTO Owns only one win so far, and it came against a maiden group at 1-5. I don't see her in the early mix, so it's all about pace and trip. If a battle ensues, she can finish fast. I'd still be surprised if she won.
8 ALDINE HANOVER Been good from the get-go this year for Erv and Marcus. They've educated her well, and it's paying off. Just toss that Vernon race where she had all sorts of trouble. Tonight, we're going to see speed. Usable.
9 AMERICAN Z TAM Looks like the longshot of the group, stuck in a horrible post. Not a lot to like in this spot.
10 ALEXA'S POWER A bit of a mystery so far, with completely different efforts on many occasions. There is some speed in the tank, however, so she might eventually turn into a nice filly. For tonight, though, post 10 is a killer.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 2-5-3-1
H Horse Comment
1 WHEELS ON FIRE Coming off a slightly improved start, so keep that in mind. Eventually, this barn figures them out. They end up putting Yannick on board, so that's a positive sign too! Still, this is a step up to tackle tougher.
2 IDEAL FLIP Was Grand Circuit stakes placed, so this is a big DROP in class. Shows pacing in 51 already, so you have to think this is just an easy spot. Don't expect much of a price, however. Qualifier looks good. Will be tough to catch.
3 MOUNT ROYAL If you just toss that Vernon race, this fella deserves an extra look. Only has three starts, but two of them were very good. On the right track here for Camp Toscano, and the inside post will keep him close enough. Trainer: Was disappointed in his effort last week. Green colt with some talent.
4 PASSA-GRILLE BEACH Couldn't hack it Grand Circuit, but he certainly can at this conditioned level. That win from Phily in September puts him squarely in the hunt. Will try to track down the speedy #2, and it won't be easy.
5 CAPTAIN DEO Received an "education" in the debut out at Hoosier, and I'll note that he was picking up ground late, despite a wicked sprint home. That's the kind of race you want to see. Pedigree is unbeatable. Ready for more?
6 JOE'S LIFE Not exactly lighting the world on fire down at Philly, so I will pass in his first attempt here tonight.
7 BUSTER MOON Invades Club Med, via the Illinois and Massachusetts route! I'll guess that this might have been a private purchase or such. Let's see if he's fast enough for New Jersey. It's a big question.
8 BIG THINKER Down from New York with recently added Lasix, and showing a break. Lots of questions here. Trainer: Trained good and has speed.
9 BAG PIPE MAJOR Doesn't have any early speed, so the post and possible pace scenario is a problem. He can finish well at times, so I wouldn't completely leave off the ticket. Will need a little luck tonight, however.
10 ROCKME SOCKS OFF Earned his first win of the year last week, given a perfect trip up at Monti. Gets slammed with post 10 here, and it's a brand new ballgame. I would need to see a good one first.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 WINSTON Not bad so far this year, and he can call himself a stakes winner. Packs pretty strong speed, so look for that from the rail. I think he could get a great trip out of this and the price will be right. Usable in gimmicks.
2 I'M A BIG DEAL Certainly showed speed in his Crown elim, but didn't have much luck late. Prior to that, and his races here, he was excellent! This final shapes up as a real treat, with three solid colts going at it. Is this guy best? Maybe. Trainer: Very good at the Red Mile. Hoosier track was tricky.
3 BORN TO BE BAD 11-13 on the board as a freshman, so let's commend that! Marcus takes a turn in the seat behind this very fast fella. Last time he faced #6, he was clearly outmuscled, so I might have to go with that. Needs more. Trainer: Been racing consistent all year. Hope Marcus can work out an up close trip.
4 ROCKAPELO Hasn't missed the board yet, and I still remember that dazzling burst of speed here on Sept. 15. He's square in the hunt here, especially if any of the faves mix it up. Don't hesitate to play if you like. May get a price too!
5 FASHIONONTHEBEACH Hasn't won yet and seems just a bit below these at the moment. I'll prefer others.
6 POINTS NORTH Rock solid all season, except for one start or two. Andy Mac stays loyal to this one over #8 and I get it. From the midpack post, I wonder what the strategy will be, but the colt can handle it either way. Very good horse!
7 HEAVENLY SOUND Tough spot here, folks. Moves to an outer post. I don't envision him blasting, and he'll need to get a smooth journey with some live cover. Has talent, but maybe not as much as the faves. We'll find out.
8 CALIFORNIA CRUISIN Purchased privately after his disappointing effort here on Sept. 15. Got a few weeks off and disappointed again. Finished full of pace in the Vernon prep, and if he's sharp, watch out. Will need some speed.
9 GRAND TETON The final piece of the puzzle, in what should be a GREAT race! Yannick ends up here, despite being listed on #2. Five for nine so far and wicked speed in the tank. Something has to give in here. Will the post kill?
10 SURFING TIDE Mired with an impossible task from a dreadful post. Definitely one of the longshots.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 HILL I AM If you can get past the gaps between starts, this guy has a big chance in here! There's not a lot of consistent form in this field, and for the most part, he stays trotting. The rail helps. Have to give a big shot.
2 TEASIN N PLEASIN Filly has faced better than these along the way, so we need to take an extra look. Any scratch always worries, but on her best day, she can go enough. Jeff has driven her before, but this is no stakes race. Watch!
3 MUAY HANOVER 3YO owns a recent win, but against lesser. Not sure he's quick enough. I'm going to pass.
4 CELEBRITY STIMULUS Good chance here for Glasser to tackle the "pro's." Gelding looks like the controlling speed in here and he may "brave up" if left alone. The big test will come when #5 comes calling. Should be good battle.
5 YOOOUKILIS I kind of like this spot for hard-knocking and hard-trying trotter. Lots of wins this year, as compared to last. My only question is prowess on the mile track. I guess we're going to find out. Can grind down #4 for Steve. Trainer: Should fit right in here. Raced really good three weeks ago.
6 DAYLINER Enters off the big upset win over at Pocono. With that said, if you didn't go to the wedding, you might be in trouble here, even with Yannick driving. Will have to go even faster to threaten these. Trainer: Raced strong last at Pocono and feeling good.
7 CLIFTON BEACH Very hard to get a gauge on this fella. I rate him a longshot, and prefer others.
8 SOUL TRAIN Definitely in need of this kind of class drop. While I cannot predict a total turnaround, this barn is way too sharp to ship into a bad spot. Plus, the gelding owns a win here this year. Consider that.
9 TOUR DE LINDY The other 3YO in field looks like a big question mark in this spot, based on recent form. Would be a surprise.

1 JIMMY WILLIAM Wow, what a qualifier that was! Sailed right by his stablemate in rather surprising fashion. Was it a fluke? It probably doesn't matter, because if you bet, you get them both. They seem to stand out in here.
1A NOT AFRAID I'm guessing he just needed that qualifier. He'd been off for several months. First qua in 57 and second in 55. That's good progression. Tons of back class. Simply put, if he's ready, he wins.
2 BUFF Invades from Mass, coming off a sick scratch. That's always a worry. However, it's been a heck of a year for this gelding. He's only four, so there's lots of upside. Let's see if he's mile track quality. We'll find out soon enough.
3 PRIME POWER N Definitely a "project horse" for Rick Dane. He's overmatched in here, so let's watch one.
4 DRESSED TO IMPRESS Not an easy spot for a 3YO filly. But, she did race well in that Saratoga series, and even won the final. Is she in same league with #1A? Probably not, but I like what I see on paper. Must prove it at Club Med.
5 BEE IN CHARGE It's taken a while to get this guy back to the races. What happened between June and October? I wish he'd gone a little faster in that qualifier, but I don't get my wish. Let's watch for future consideration.
6 TRUE FRIENDS The other 3YO filly lands an outside post, while not showing much speed. That's not usually a recipe for success, but she does have stakes level class. She can probably grind into this, and pick up a piece.
7 UVA HANOVER Likely the key to the race! Why? The bad post. Tim will have to get him into the race somehow, and just a bit earlier. If close enough, he is fast enough to give the entrymates a tussle. This is big case of: post hurts.

1 SOUTHERN SPIRIT A pair in here for Artie. He'll drive this one, but #3 has the better chance, in my opinion. I thin these are too tough for the gelding, so let's see if he can just keep up.
2 A MAJOR IMPULSE I guess that's a fair track he won at two back? The races from Philly simply aren't very good, so he looks like a big question mark on the mile track here. Has to prove it first.
3 MAJOR LEGACY Looks like the "one move" type on paper, so this post is ideal. We could get a little action in here, with the favorites mostly outside. I wouldn't be too quick to eliminate this fella. Should offer value too!
4 ALONEINSPADES Shows that 51 mile up at Vernon, which catches my eye. If you take stance he's been overmatched since, he could have a shot in here. Since he was well bet at Vernon, let's watch the board. If bet, then use!
5 INTERMIX Doesn't appear to be a threat to these, based on any recent race. A pass for me.
6 WELLWESAID Recent form doesn't exactly jump off the page, and I don't know how to interpret a lame scratch, two days after a race where he got a check! That can't be good, right?
7 HONEY I'M HOME Gets the very tepid call as fave, in hard to handicap race. I know he's 0-15 this year, but he's faced better along the way and gets Andy Mac to drive. The speed alone is dangerous. Could get brave if unpressured.
8 DAVID'S DREAM Back to the mile track, where he won a race here earlier. Also took lifetime mark here. Can you say "wakeup call?" I can. I expect a better effort from David tonight. Marcus will get him into the hunt somehow. Trainer: Loves the Big M! Won parked the entire mile earlier this yeaer. Hoping he remembers that.
9 VICTORYDAZE WILWIN I think we all remember the Hambo Day win at odds of 36-1. And yes, he paced in 1:50 that day! Usually can't get out of his own way early, though. It's post nine. Is he ready off slow Freehold miles?
10 SO TAKE THAT Moves from pole to post 10. Got away eighth from rail at Philly, so my confidence level here isn't too high. I'm going to leave him out, even with Yannick aboard.
