H Horse Comment
1 ALONEINSPADES Gelding has been good lately, but is stepping up a notch here. The pole post is perfect, though with the potential speed show coming from #2. Could work out nicely for A Nap and we'll see if horse is good enough. Trainer: Seems good, likes up near the front.
2 R M BLACKHAWK That was SOME mile this fella turned in last time. Fought a dueler tooth and nail and simply sprinted away. Impressive. Takes the price jump now to the $15K level and we'll see same speed. The one to catch.
3 YANKEE HEAVEN Moves into a new barn off that claim, but it was several weeks ago, and last two tries were clunkers. I guess I have my questions with this one tonight. Will have to bounce back big, and I don't know if it's coming.
4 TWINCREEKS JESSE Squeezes in for the condition here, so not in for the tag. Raced much better down at Freehold last try and finds his way back up the Turnpike. Usually good for one solid move in a mile. Timing, trip critical.
5 BEACHCHIP HANOVER Applied that dueling pressure to #2 last time and that didn't work out. I suspect a smoother trip is likely in store, and this horse did come off an improved effort. Sneaky kind of price play tonight in this post.
6 P H KENNY Invades from the Meadows and into a new barn, but I'd advise caution. Horse failed to win a race all of last year. That's a problem. Would need a pretty big mile to track down the likes of #2. Not sure it's coming.
7 THE FIRE WITHIN Chased a standout runaway winner last time and did it willingly at long odds. That showed a marked improvement, plus barn is coming around with its starters now. Brett had choice and opted here.
8 INTRIGUED INTENDED Picked up some of the tired ones in that blowout mile by #2. It was a decent kick, and horse probably needed that start after being sick. My knock tonight is the post. What's it going to be? Speed or rally?
9 SOLO STORY Down from Monti for a big track try, but he looks a bit overmatched with these. I will pass.

H Horse Comment
1 ROCKET J Last start before the mixed sale on Monday, so you know they want a good one! Horse kind of "hung" a little last time, so that worries me. Overall, he's a trip kind of horse. From the rail, likely to sit and stalk. Maybe.
2 MAJOR LEGACY I keep saying he's about due to get lucky and win one of these. This could be the spot. There is LOTS of speed in here, and that would help set up that rally. When the flow is right, he can kick home strongly. Ready!
3 ROCK ON THE HILL Liked him last time and actually wasn't all that great. This is good case of when the raceline on paper wasn't as good as it looked on the track. Would need a much bigger punch to get the job done tonight.
4 STIRLING ESCORT He's got some speed. I won't question that. But, he doesn't really seem to pack much mile track stamina right now. That's a problem here. There's also a ton of other speed. Not sure I could play in this spot.
5 ALTA LEROY N Newcomer to the Big M, but off a layoff since the summer. Qualifier was pretty good, though. Will barn have him cranked up and ready? I have my doubts, so I might be willing to watch one first. Andy's choice!
6 DURANT Just missed last time, given a good trip and drive from Carlson. Not sure it will work out that nicely again, but I could be wrong. This is still pretty high level for this horse, but he does offer good one every now and then.
7 MAJOR WAR Found a nice soft spot on the big class drop two weeks ago. With that said, this is a big step back up the ladder and Brett opted elsewhere. That has to tell us something.
8 WINDSONG JACK Takes third straight class drop, so that's probably why Brett chose this one. I'm not going to question his speed. It's solid! Has raced himself back into shape, with speed tighteners. Might be time to win!
9 SPIRIT OF TRUTH Moves pole to post nine, in field full of speed. That's not likely to work out well tonight.
10 EVEIL DUN CHAMPION Tough trip against a decent field down at Rosecroft. I'm willing to forgive that. Paid nice dividends on the claim before that. I'd say he has a little something to prove here on mile, plus terrible post.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 1-7-10-6
H Horse Comment
1 MAGIC TRICKS Has now missed three weeks, off that scratch. But, the post relief is a big plus, and he did race big in first start for new barn. Gets Marohn here and has more than enough speed to protect inside. Can be used.
2 YANKEE ARTILLERY Gave it an excellent speed try last out for Andy, caught only by the trip sitter. It was a significant step in the right direction, and as I said, barn is heating up. I suspect different trip here. The stalk, try to pounce.
3 DR C'S Z TAM Went one heck of a trip last time when claimed. Attacked through hot fractions, and was digging in gamely all the way. Meets many of the same foes here, but will also need a smoother journey. Tough to rely on.
4 EVERY INTENTION Hasn't missed a check since that early December claim. That's a good thing! Dropped and popped for the win last time. However, that field was a lot weaker than this one. A lot to prove against these.
5 YOUDA SHARK Also beat a weaker field when last seen here. This may be too much for him now. I'll pass.
6 MASTER OF PUPPETS Going pretty well right now, so that's a positive. Won 10 races last year too! In a race where there's big speed on the outside, you might want to try a closer? This would be good candidate. Andy's choice. Trainer: Raced good last start and seems good right now.
7 CITY PIE Never really got rolling from the back of the pace last time, but offered just enough sneaky late pace to tell me he's still good. I guess it's all about the trip. Needs a live flow to deliver that solid kick. Worked two back.
8 MARTIAL BLISS Squandered a great trip last time, so I wonder about his mile track stamina. Moves tougher post.
9 SHOW ME UP Speed is usually his game, but he ran out of it late last time against #10. They're both on the outside now, so we could have a little mayhem coming. Which one will get the trip? I don't know. Nap also opted off.
10 IDEAL SHADOW Renews rivalry with #9, and others in here. They both possess blast out speed, so something has to give. Can't fault this gelding's consistency right now, and he can rally too! Might be the better option tonight.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 6-3-1-9
H Horse Comment
1 MT STERLING MAFIA Last chance to impress before Monday's sale! Hip #164. Gelding was awfully good in his Big M debut, with solid pace once free of traffic. Gets major post relief and Andy back. Lots of positives, but lower price. Trainer: Was blocked and got out real late. He should bounce back good in here.
2 VALRHONA Corey put a perfect drive on this fella last time for the upset win. This is a stronger bunch of horses tonight, but Mr. Callahan sticks here. Might need another ideal journey, but Corey's choice is a strong one.
3 BIG STRETCH MARK He's got speed, that's for sure. But, he doesn't win all that often. A must use underneath in the gimmicks, but I'll take a stand and not put him on top. Inside post is always a plus. Will hope for trip, but w/o Corey.
4 ROCKIN HANK Hasn't made much of an impact here yet. Must be rated a longshot, until we see more from him.
5 MEDIEVAL DRAGON What do we do with this guy, off for a month? It's safe to say he's tailed off a bit, but he's also faced better before. If you told me he was cranked and ready for a good one, I'd tell you to use. Difficult choice.
6 OBSCENE BLUE CHIP Proved that win was no fluke! Came flying home again with all kinds of pace from a long way back. This is the kind of race that could have a lot of action in it too! That would help his cause. Won't be 37-1 now. Trainer: Proving to me he requires a bigger track for his best performances. Gets better every week here.
7 LOTS OF LOVIN Passed a couple of the tired ones with an improved second try here, but in reality was outkicked home by #6, and by a lot. Drew same tough post here, so will it be speed, or follow? If no speed, too far back.
8 SUNSHINE WEST Hasn't had a lot of luck here lately and it continues tonight with a switch to an outside post. We know he's got speed, but after getting torched last time, it might be time to give him one from behind. A maybe.
9 BRIAN J Did a lot of the dirty work a month ago, to set things up for the rallying #6. Don't be too hard on this guy, though! He didn't exactly stop. He probably needed that race. I just wish he'd not missed another month.
10 STAKEOUT Shows a streak of dull efforts and now moves from pole to post 10. "Nuff said.
5 Fifth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 UPFRONT BILLY Has now missed more than a month, since getting parked out as the favorite here. One of his top efforts would be good enough to threaten, but I can't be sure we'll get that. Also moving to outer post.
1A IT REALLY MATTERS Betting partner to #1 is probably used to facing weaker than this. Tough to like this spot.
2 WORTH THE MONEY AS Dropped to this level last time and did not race well from this post. Hard to like now.
3 ARCH CREDIT Yes, that's a money burning loss at 1-9 last month down at Freehold. So, it's quickly back to the bigger size oval. Handled the Philly surface well, so let's expect him to be okay here. Needs to slow it down, though.
4 GOLDEN TATE Scratched out of his first scheduled try here. (maybe 10-hole itis?) Gelding was certainly good at his home base of Saratoga. Worked his way right up the ladder. Will he be primed and ready for best? Wish I knew.
5 ZOOMING Charged home two back to just miss, and then tossed in a bit of a clunker last time. I know the post hurt, but he clearly lacked his usual burst of speed. That doesn't bode well. Needs a big bounce back, return to form. Trainer: Trained good. Hoping for some luck.
6 DI OGGI Watch out here, because this fella is VERY good right now. Had traffic issues in last and seemed to have plenty of trot left. Eric was able to get him to leave in that race too! Midpack post is perfect to give options now.
7 BEE IN CHARGE Yes, we all saw the romp against weaker two back. But, he couldn't fight off the trip-sitter last time despite being well-rated. Was it the class hike? Are these too tough for him? Answer might yes, plus price is short. Trainer: Weather cost us a better post, but he had a good week and seems on game. Helps that A Nap stuck with him.
8 QUEEN ADJALA Never really had racing room last time and that caused the DQ. Marohn was "lucky" that we canceled last weekend, because that's when he took his days. This post is brutal again, but mare was JM's choice!
9 MONTALBANO BI Man, is he good right now! Rarely races on lead, but dug in for all he was worth to win again last time. The switch to the 10-hole is an absolute killer, however, and Marohn opted to stick with the mare. Telling?
6 Sixth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 AMANDEROSA Made no impact at long odds against a similar group last time from inside post. Unless you tell me she's ready to wake up big time, I can't like. I suspect mare will need more class relief before the return to form.
2 UF DRAGON'S QUEEN Like many from this barn, she's missed more than a month now. That, plus she was tailing off anyway. Have to pass and watch until we see an improved effort again.
3 HEARTS N FLOWERS Was facing weaker down at Philly. Turned in great try at home base of Rosecroft, but how good was that "Open" field compared to this? I do have my doubts, so be careful here. I think she's a longshot.
4 LADY OF HEAVEN Clearly outracing her odds lately. That's good. But, the added bump up in class is bad for betting purposes. I don't think she's good enough to beat these and she will have to prove me wrong.
5 SHESGOTTHEBEAT Greg absolutely "stole" that last one. Unpressured through soft fractions, so she was supposed to dig in and win. Will it happen that way again? No way! This is a double jump up in class. Will need even more.
6 STUDIO ONE Greg M put a perfect steer on this lass to surprise at 6-1. Also hiking up to tackle a tougher bunch, but I was impressed with that win. She might have better chance of handling it. Plus, she has versatility in her corner.
7 ABBIJADE HANOVER Fell victim to the hot pace last time. Just got a little tired late and that was understandable. She's always a factor in any race she's in and she is also versatile. Can fire out. Can wait and follow. Owns big kick.
8 CAROBBEAN PACETRY Speaking of impressive, how good was this mare last time? She was also good in the start before that. The move to an outer post will make the task a little tougher, but I can't leave her out. Can you?
9 GLENFERRIE BRONTE N Over from Yonkers on a slight drop, but post is a killer again. Not quite my type tonight.
10 COUSIN MARY Talk about the bad post blues! Gets slammed with another bad draw here, and it's unfortunate, because Mary is sharp! Mr. Callahan takes over and he'll need some of that Saturday night magic to reach from here. Trainer: Is sharp and her confidence is right where it needs to be.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 6-3-1-7
H Horse Comment
1 SUPER IMPOSED N Had every chance last time, barely being outkicked late. Horse is going well at moment and is very hard to ignore with the move all the way to the pole. He's got speed if Austin wants it. Might try that tonight.
2 BRIGADOON Didn't show a whole lot in first try here, but that was from an outside post. This combo has been dangerous here so far, so might have to take an extra look here in post two. Might also need a class drop.
3 CHEYENNE SEEBER Another that drops and gets a better post. Also picks up Yannick, so those could be signals of an impending return to form. Not sure I'd want any kind of short price, but ya never know! He's better than he shows.
4 BOTTOM DEALS Third start back off the layoff from summer. Was clearly in need of some class relief and it might not be enough. One of the longshot possibilities in this wide open race. Will wake back up soon, if not tonight.
5 COPPER COAST A Yes, that was a pretty disappointing effort last time when he just folded up shop without much fight. I'll also note that Corey chose #6 tonight, so that's a double knock. This is a better bunch. Might be too tough.
6 AIR STRIKE I now wonder just how good that qualifier was, that Corey opts here. Gelding only made 10 starts as a sophomore, so there must have been a problem. However, if he's ready to go, this isn't a bad spot! Tough call.
7 DIAL OR NODIAL The veteran pacer came back with a good one off the layoff, but I wish he hadn't been forced up in class again. Everybody saw it, so don't expect that big of a price, and this is no easy spot. Only at value would I like.
8 ENDEAVOR Yes, I didn't get the memo on this one last time on the big drop and pop. Things did set up nicely for him too! But, if you didn't cash then, I don't know if you'll be cashing now. This is much tougher assignment. Trainer: Had a good week.
9 CENTURY CHURCHILL Didn't show a whole lot from this post upon arrival. Corey listed, opted to #6. I'll pass.
10 KINGS BARNS In for the optional claiming tag here and didn't get lucky at the post draw. Tough to like out here.

1 B YOYO Made a LOT of money for Team Bongiorno last year and is slated to sell on Monday. Last chance to shine and he finds the perfect spot to do it. Somehow he fits the condition, and gets the rail to boot. Clearly one to beat. Trainer: Doesn't seem to like Dover, but does return to his favorite track. In a class he's had tons of success in and it's last start before the sale. I think that' s a recipe for success.
2 WAITING ON A WOMAN If anybody can beat #1, it's probably this gelding. He is razor sharp right now, and escapes the 10-hole of last start. I think you'll get the better price here, especially with Brett opting off. I'll take my shot.
3 CAN DO Perfect trip and drive from A Nap couple of weeks ago. We can't question this gelding's speed, but he's definitely facing a better bunch here tonight. Sits a trip and hopes for best? That's the plan. Trainer: Had a few weeks off, a well deserved rest. Draws good, but in a tough class. Always gives 100% and loves the Meadowlands.
4 KEYSTONE ACE Squeezes in for this on the alternate condition, but in reality, it's a 10-level class hike out of the amateur event. He's not going to get much in here if he trots home in 31 seconds. Probably overmatched.
5 IRON MINE BUCKY Here's your other option to try and beat the favorite, but I will admit he's coming off a clunker. I don't know what happened last start, but he was unusually empty. Let's hope for a big bounce back to form.
6 EXPLOSIVE MAN Missed just about a month, but was razor sharp prior to that. This is no easy spot tonight, but that's an impressive effort overpowering Opulent Yankee! That type of effort definitely gives him a chance to extend streak.
7 SCIROCCO JAKOB Nothing wrong with his romp, right down the road for Billy D! However, this looks like completely different situation. I don't envision him cruising along on the lead here. Not gonna happen! Needs a big one.
8 SOUTHWIND FLASH Speaking of cruising along on the lead, that's exactly what this fella was doing at Yonkers when he broke. Finds his way back to the big track, but gaps between races concern me. So does the post. In sale Monday.
9 STIRLING CADET Still working his way back from that lame scratch. Not helped much by this post, or strength of this field. Likely a "prep" for a softer spot down the road.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 6-5-3-9
H Horse Comment
1 STARZNHEAVEN Perfect trip winner two back, and then a much tougher journey last start. It cost him, but he didn't quit that badly. In for the optional tag here, but caught big break with the rail draw. Still in very, very tough.
2 VILLE VALO Before canceling last week, trainer thought he might "need one." Same situation here. Pass for now. Trainer: Returning from some time off. The qualifier is better than the line suggests but he may need one.
3 WESTERN JOE Pretty sharp right now, and it was nice to see him get a sub-1:50 mark here two back. Gets big time post relief, and a new driver! I guess I wouldn't talk you off Joe if you want to bet. Sharp horses win races.
4 ELRAMA N Here's another of the many sharp horses right now, BUT this is another huge hike in class and he wasn't Corey's choice. That should be telling us something and I'll go with that theory. Wait for a drop?
5 PONYTA BOY This fella has very quietly been very good here. Ends up missing a few weeks due to weather, and last week's cancellation. I can still see him charging home back on Dec. 9. This race will have lots of action in it.
6 ALLBLACK STRIDE N Added Lasix last time, in just second start in North America and was absolutely airborn final yards. Simply put, this is a good horse, folks! It's time to hop on board and bet, but don't expect large odds.
7 PRINCE OF POPS Off a little too long for my taste, and also in a little too tough. Wait for softer spot down road. Trainer: Needs a start, but is a nice horse.
8 SWEET BEACH Very tough call here, because horse has also missed time, but gets some needed class relief. Trust me, it's no easy spot, and I must note that A Nap opted to #9. Maybe that's telling us something. Let's watch one here.
9 ART HISTORY Bounced back with a much improved effort last time. Had been tailing off prior to that, so it was good to see him full of pace late. For that, he's not exactly "rewarded" with this post, but A Nap sticks. That's good sign.
10 JK WILL POWER Allowed into the race, squeezing in for the condition. For that, he gets slammed with post 10. Gelding is good right now, but hasn't been all that lucky. How will he overcome post 10? I don't know.
10 Tenth Race Entries

1 IDEAL ROCKY Invades from Ohio and into a new barn. So far, the shippers to Andy F have done pretty well. It looks like gelding was overmatched out there, so this looks like reasonable spot for him here. We'll find out. In the sale!
2 ALLSTAR PARTNER Can't really fault this guy right now, as he's worked his way up the class ladder. Chased a standout in Primetime last try. Missed a few weeks, but I'll still give him a chance with Brett still aboard. Trainer: Is his aggressive self. Let him be happy and freewheeling for his best work.
3 FRANKY'S BEACH BOY What's gotten into this horse lately? Monstrous efforts back-to-back, but I guess the real test for class comes tonight! He's facing older, more seasoned foes here. Will have to prove it one more time.
4 MACHAMILLION N Drops again, after a just fair effort as the fave against better. Corey sticks, from the same post, so you know horse will be in position. Seems to own one wicked kick, so it's all about pace and trip vs. #3. Needs trip.
5 JACKSRLUCKYTOO Things haven't worked out for Jack last few, but be careful, because he can always bounce back on a slight drop like this. Seems almost guaranteed to get some nice cover, from either #3 or #4. That would help.
6 SPEED AGAIN Is this the odd man out, in a field of closers? I know he's capable of leaving the gate, so when Yannick handicaps this race, he might feel he needs to take a shot. If he does, chances go WAY up. And, at a price too!
7 LACHIE MAGUIRE N Got nailed on the lead Tuesday night at Yonkers and was 3-5! That's not good, and neither is this spot. Might be in a touch too tough with these, especially on the short rest. Not quite my type.
8 BIG TOP HANOVER Kind of stuck in same situation as last start. Drew bad post. Still in pretty tough. I'm not envisioning a lot of success from way out here. I will wait for a softer spot, and probably an inside post.
9 ALL WEEK Where's he going from this post, after being off a month? My guess is not very far. Pass.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 ONEISALONELYNUMBER Has legitimate excuses for last few. Moves all the way back inside, on a class drop for Team Siegelman. Have to think he'll be primed and ready for a top effort, so go ahead and bet if you like! I won't stop you. Trainer: Ready for the new year.
2 PERFECTLY CLOSE Got parked for his life last time at 58-1, so don't hold that against him. Completely different kind of trip likely tonight and it definitely improves his chances. Look who's driving? Mr. Saturday night. Eligible at price.
3 DUNE DUDE Keeps taking tote action, and keeps delivering just fair efforts. I'm not willing to accept any low odds on The Dude, until I see a better performance. Now 0-3 at this level and counting. Might be 0-4 after tonight.
4 BUCKEYE IN CHARGE Is actually very good right now, but when he gets forced up in class, the game is over! Pass.
5 FEEL THE NEED A If you don't like #1, this is your next best option on the class drop. Brett chose him. He's regularly faced better. Seems more than due for some sort of wakeup call. Barn is going well. Some positives to work with here. Trainer: Is training well right now.
6 KOTARE YAEL N Just toured the track last time. Had disappointed me, and everybody else prior to that. I'm also expecting some sort of improved effort soon, but we might have to guess when. That's never easy. I hate guessing.
7 MACH ON THE BEACH Doesn't look very sharp right now, so I will pass on Mach, even with A Nap taking over.
8 SIX GUN Off too long. Exits disappointing effort on lead as favorite when Brett drove, and now Brett opts off. That's enough for me to leave him out tonight, and watch for future consideration.
9 MR BAILANDO Rough trip last time and stopped. I can understand that. Had been starting to tail off anyway. Not helped much by this post. That's for sure. Trainer doing the driving, so it's a tour of the track tonight.
10 NOBLES FINESSE Suffering a good case of the bad post blues, so that might ruin his chances here. However, he is dropping, and we've seen him blast before. Can we watch tote board for any clues? If he gets bet, I might use.
12 Twelfth Race Entries

1 FEELING CAM LUCKY Have to admit, Patrick got us good with this one last time! Horse is in the sale and he took a big shot despite the bad post and they got the money! Give credit where it's due! Takes double jump up now. Trainer: Had a good week.
2 SOUTHWIND GENERAL Drops again after a MUCH improved try in return to Big M. This HAS to be the spot, right? I guess my only knock is the missed time, which could be a concern. If not, he's clearly the one to beat with Yannick.
3 K-LEES SHAKENBAKE Also in the sale on Monday, as Hip #206. Gets a touch of needed class relief and was VERY good against similar on Dec. 9. Have to expect a top effort, since he's sale bound. Wouldn't talk you off him here.
4 BRUCE'S MAGIC Loved him last time, and it might have been only winner I picked all night! At least Bruce came through for me with flying colors. Had plenty left in the tank, and has back class, so he can handle the hike. Sharp!
5 BELIEVE THIS BOB Ended the Spa meet on a winning note, but those had to be lesser foes. Scratched due to snow after that, and finally gets back in the box tonight. Can Bob be A-1 cranked and ready? I'm going to guess no.
6 MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT He's definitely got a chance in here. Barn's only starter here sports two good races. Has speed, and gets out of post nine. The knock: Brett opted to #4. I guess that has to tell us a little something?
7 TORRID BROMAC N Pretty flat against the better bunch in last. Gets a touch of class relief, but certainly not post relief. Austin has to drive #8, so that's why the choice, so you get familiar driver in Berry. Will he take a shot? Maybe.
8 JOHNNY Q Johnny was actually favored in that higher class last time and paid the price for hot pace. Moves to a tougher post here, so I don't know what the strategy will be. Might be time to give him one from off the pace. Trainer: Training well right now.
9 DON'TCALLMEFRANCIS Fought tenaciously to win at Yonkers on Tuesday, so he's "eligible at time of entry." The stamina level wasn't nearly that good when he was here last. It's post nine on short rest. Not sure what to expect.

1 PEPPER GUY Was pretty darn good when we last saw him here back on Dec. 2. Why the long layoff? Wish I could answer that one! Because if he's cranked and ready again, he will probably win again. Better post with versatile speed.
2 DEEPFAVE HANOVER Figured he would take an aggressive try last time and got a little tired late. No worries. Overall, he's rounded into better form, and tonight he'll get new driver, with Jimmy opting to #1. Different kind of trip coming.
3 SOFER Doesn't win all that often, but he is somewhat consistent. Has a decent turn of speed and gets a nice post, alongside the favorites. Would be hard to completely leave off the ticket. Any smooth journey gets him into it.
4 ULTIMATE FLYER N Didn't exactly "deliver the goods" when favored last time, but that was a weird race. He's faced better before, so I would hope to see an improved effort here tonight. Let's expect it from this barn.
5 OFFDAHOOK BLUECHIP In the sale on Monday as Hip #170, so last chance to shine. I don't have to tell you that last two were downright poor. It will take a big turnaround, but anything is possible from this barn. Take a long look.
6 CRUISERWILLWIN MIA for too long and not likely to be fully primed and ready. I think we can safely pass even w/L..
7 SHRINKWRAP Added Lasix in the qualifier and didn't appear to improve much. Was actually facing weaker out of Hoosier, so this isn't the right spot for this one yet. Let's watch one. Does get Lasix tonight.
8 WILDMAN Not much luck at the post draw lately, or in the trip department. I have to rate him a big longshot again, with all the favorites inside. That's probably not going to work out too well.
9 BET THE DRAGON Strong trip and drive from Jimmy on this fella to "graduate" from non-winners of two. For that success, he's not exactly rewarded with this post, or loss of Marohn. Facing better. Will need even more to win again.
10 FRANZ Looks like the longest of longshots from the dreaded 10-hole. Not my type from way out here.

1 DRUNKEN TERROR Was entered here last weekend when we canceled. Hard to get a gauge on that recent form at The Meadows, since it looks poor on paper. This is new barn, but same owner? Nap takes the call. Mixed signals.
2 FOX VALLEY CADET Expected him to bounce back big last time and he did! Takes the appropriate bump up in price and I still think he's good enough to go with these. Keeps Marohn over #7, so that's loyalty to the barn. Usable.
3 DANISH DILIGENCE Didn't show much upon arrival. Brett opted to #6 and so will I for now. Needs a good one.
4 FLY'N WITH ROYALTY I don't really know what to do with this fella right now. All kinds of mixed efforts, and then a scratch. When he's good, he can go with these. When he's flat, he tires. Your call, as to what we're getting tonight.
5 TERROR OF THE NITE I do know what we're getting from this one, though! Speed! Gelding is good right now, gets the perfect post and may be able to slow the pace down. That would greatly improve his chances to last and win.
6 MAY I CRUISE WEST Is the $10K level too high for this one? It kind of looked that way last time, when he grinded and didn't exactly explode like previous efforts. Will need somebody to pressure #5 to set up that kick again. Trainer: Been racing well but post may hurt.
7 WELLWESAID Yes, I know Jimmy opted to #2, but don't let that sway you off this one. Followed up with another super rally to make it back-to-back wins. It's all about pace and trip again. If the flow is live, he will kick in big.
8 MODERN YANKEE Just forget about that last one, when torched through brutal pace. It is definitely time to get this guy a race from off the pace. Might sneak onto the ticket with a rally, if the trip is smooth.
9 MUST BE THE BUNNY Steps up in price. Second straight race slammed with post nine. Not likely to work out well.
10 CHARMBO CURIOSITY Horse is actually good right now, but he also gets moved up in price to fill this field. It's almost not fair he gets post 10, but it is what it is. Will need a lot of luck, but that can happen sometimes.
