Jimmy Caraluzzi, son of long-time trainer Joe Caraluzzi, will be running to raise funds for the Standardbred Retirement Foundation in the 19th annual Philadelphia Marathon.

The Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 18th and will guide race participants through a fast, scenic, 26.2-mile course that highlights some of the city’s historic landmarks such as City Hall, Independence Hall, and Boathouse Row – starting and finishing with the Philadelphia Museum of Art at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Jimmy has grown up around harness racing and has worked with his father for the past several years as an assistant trainer while attending college.  This past May, Jimmy graduated from Rutgers Business School with a B.S. in Finance.  Jimmy’s love for horses and harness racing has prompted him to assemble a fundraiser for his run, to collect donations to help support the SRF during these hard times.
