Meadowlands Racetrack will hold its first baby races of the season for 2-year-old horses on Saturday morning, June 2.
The entry box closes 4 p.m. on Friday, June 1. There is no participation fee for New Jersey-bred 2-year-olds or 2-year-olds staked to races at the Meadowlands. For all other 2-year-olds, the fee is $100.
Fans and horse owners are invited to watch the non-wagering events, which will feature live race calls, every Saturday in June and July. Breakfast items will be available for purchase at the Don Q Wedge concession stand. Paddock tours and children’s activities will be offered on four of the Saturdays: June 16 and 23 and July 7 and 21. No reservation is necessary to participate.
Regular morning qualifiers move back to Fridays beginning June 1. The entry box closes 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 29.
