Hamer and Wineberg Earn Horse Player World Series Entries

Daniel Hamer of Brooklyn, NY captured the top spot in Meadowlands Racetrack’s qualifier for the 2012 Horse Player World Series on October 1.   

 

Hamer led the standings with a $1253 bankroll netting him $4240 in prizes, including an entry in the Horse Player World Series next February at The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas.  Qualifier runner-up Larry Wineberg of Old Bridge, NJ also moved on to Vegas with a $1101 bankroll.   

 

Tournament players were required to bet a minimum of 10 races from Belmont Park, Parx or Monmouth Park, with a $10 minimum per race in the Meadowlands qualifier.  Wagers had to be win, place or show and on one horse only.  Hamer cashed in eight of the 11 races he bet on the day.  He fired his $737 bankroll on Piscesbymoonlight ($3.40) in the last race at Belmont to clinch the tournament.
