The 2013 championship will be held Saturday, April 13. 

The World Harness Handicapping Championship is the only tournament for harness players to feature a guaranteed prize pool.  Players may earn their way into the championship through participation in a qualifying tournament at an WHHC partner outlet.

• Player's choice of seven (7) Meadowlands races plus, three (3) designated mandatory races (one each from Balmoral, Mohawk and Buffalo)

• $40 minimum bet per race; $100 maximum bet

• Win or Place wagers only (or WP)

 • One (1) horse per race.
• Contestants keep all pari-mutuel winnings.
• One (1) entry per person.

WHHC PRIZE STRUCTURE
• Payouts to the Top 10, plus players keep their bankroll

• 1st - $40,000 (40%)
• 2nd - $20,000 (20%)
• 3rd - $15,000 (15%)
• 4th  - $10,000 (10%)
• 5th - $5,000 (5%)
• 6- 10th - $2,000 (2%)

• All entry fees will be returned as prize money.
• Order of finish is based on highest accumulated pari-mutuel earnings

Contestants can register free at www.HorseTourneys.com, but will be required to enter each week starting on Monday at 9 a.m. (Eastern) to participate in the upcoming weekend’s contests.  Entries will be limited to 1,000 for each contest on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The contest format will be selecting one horse and an alternate, in case of a late scratch, for a $2 Win-Place wager on each race at the featured track that evening with all selections needing to be submitted prior to post time of the first race.   

Horseplayers that would like to see a qualifying tournament in their area are urged to contact the marketing department of their local racetrack or wagering outlet.
