1 First Race Entries
Picks: 3-7-5-1
H Horse Comment
1 HEART OF MINE High money-earner in the field finished fourth in the opening leg of this series in unspectacular try where the mile-track experience was no doubt needed. Figures to be better this time around.
2 DIXIE CHICK Trainer Erv Miller added Lasix three back, but this daughter of Somebeachsomewhere has not shown any improvement. Tough spot.
3 FIRE START HANOVER Nifty Norman student destroyed her foes in Leg One of the series last week, using a big move to gain control at the half on the way to an easy 3«-length score. Likely repeater.
4 ADJACENT Least experienced filly in the field makes her fourth lifetime start. Did win impressively four starts back at Hoosier, but that was six weeks ago.
5 OFF THE RECORD Super-steady sort from Robert Cleary has never missed the board in four lifetime outings. Kicked home in sub-:28 every time. Merits much respect.
6 EASYRUNNER HANOVER Stayed in the pocket throughout Fire Star Hanover-s jogola win and did not impress during the final quarter. Hard to recommend.
7 JK ALWAYSBALADY Two-move win at Harrah-s Philadelphia on July 1 produced a 1:52.1 mile, the fastest lifetime mark in this field. Trainer: Raced well last start but is still really green. Will race from off the pace again.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 1-2-6-4
H Horse Comment
1 COMMANDING OFFICER Snuck through along the rail to provide a surprise in last Friday-s finale. Trainer: Great effort in the first leg. His last start in Lexington was encouraging. We hope the upward trend continues.
2 CAPTAIN SLEAZE Couldn-t get to Summa Cum Laude last week when that one was revved up once on the lead. Did do well for second showing some class from the tough Pennsylvania Sire Stakes circuit. Consider.
3 DONTPASSME HANOVER An early break prevented us a chance to see what this gelding has, but that was his second break in his last three starts, so there might be some changes needed.
4 AQUAMAN HANOVER Hung around at the rail to grab a fourth-place check a week ago and could do something similar in this six-horse field.
5 HURRIKANE GEORGIE Looked superb in New York Sire Stakes Excelsior B action three and two starts back but brought little to the dance in his first Big M try last week.
6 SHAKESPEARE Pelling prot‚g‚ has shown some ability in each of his four lifetime parimutuel starts. Trainer: Very versatile. Chubby fellow who hasn-t been pushed. We think he-ll keep improving.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 7-1-2-5
H Horse Comment
1 BROADWAY DON Jim Campbell trainee has excelled in two straight Red Mile victories but does lack class when compared to a handful in here.
2 ROBERT-S HANOVER Has finished first or second in five-of-seven starts, so there-s obvious form here. Trainer: Colt continues to mature and get stronger. Hoping he continues to improve.
3 DEE-S RED DELICOUS Has come back with a pair of poor efforts after winning a New York Sire Stakes division on August 30 as the 3-5 favorite. Took money (7-2) in last and could come back with a far better try.
4 SPEED AWAY Did OK from post nine in the opening leg of the series. Doesn-t appear to be for the win bettor but might be the right stuff for those who like exacta and trifecta boxes.
5 BEE FOREVER Broke stride after attempting to rally from the back of the pack in series- debut, which was only his second career start. Much better things could be in this one-s future.
6 NARZARIO First-ever start at The Meadowlands wasn-t much, a sixth-place finish after taking two months off. Still hasn-t found himself.
7 LINDYSMUSCLEMANIA Svanstedt trainee killed in last, going all the way as the favorite in 1:54.4 in beating Peter Haughton winner Zenith Stride. Right back.
8 TOPOFTHEHILL S Draws poorly, has a breaking problem and has not been within 17 lengths of the winner in either of his last two starts. For longshot players only.
9 CALLE PALEMA Has yet to step up and perform at a high level with this kind of stock and the outside post will serve as a big hindrance tonight.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 1-7-2-3
H Horse Comment
1 MAZZARATI Almost lasted on the lead after leaving from post eight in superb opening leg try. Obvious chance to lead these at every call.
2 CHABLIS Was hounded while on the lead, hung in there for second in her initial Kindergarten start. Might be underbet in this spot.
3 SAADET Recorded an upset win in The Stallion Stakes at Pocono Downs three back displaying two moves. Inconsistent sort can be there if she brings her -A- game.
4 HELLO I LOVE YOU Showed some live moves before grabbing the top, had to settle for fifth a week ago. Alagna trainee is clearly capable with this kind.
5 QUEEN TILE NO Fourth-best in all three career starts, which is nothing to write home about but when you-re talking Svanstedt with young trotters, improvement could always be coming.
6 M DIDDY Finished second to Hello I Love You on July 31, her best-ever mile. Has done little since. Ron Burke trainee makes only her fifth start and could be competitive with this type after another start or two.
7 IZZY DEMSKY Marcus Melander trainee has shown wicked speed on the New York Sire Stakes circuit. Does not have as much class as Mazzarati but might find herself in front of that foe at the three-eighths-mile marker.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 4-7-5-1
H Horse Comment
1 LEAR SEELSTER Closed from the clouds to win in an absolute shocker two back. From the rail, might be close enough at three-quarters to make noise nearing the wire.
2 BADIX HANOVER Consistent sort has cashed a check in five straight. Wasn-t bad from the nine hole in last and moves in to the two tonight.
3 NIALL HANOVER Hasn-t been close in any of his last three outings and may find the sledding to be a bit tough in this field.
4 SCIROCCO MISTYSAID Showed much improvement in return from Pocono Downs when second in mile that was timed in 1:52.3. Must consider.
5 FOREVER WORTH IT Never involved after being shuffled back to 10th and last a week ago before finishing an uninspiring seventh. Raced quite well in the start prior and could beat this group with an effort similar to that one.
6 MAY I CRUISE WEST Rallied for third at 84-1 in last. With a similar kind of inside trip, could he hit the ticket again- Why not! But you won-t get 84-1 this time around.
7 PROPHET BLUE CHIP Dziengiel trainee has done good work in four straight starts. Beat better stock than this two starts back at Yonkers.
8 JUSTIN CREDIBLE Has recorded zero wins in 18 seasonal starts. Lacks class and draws poorly and is tough to recommend.
9 DAVID THE SAINT Off an inside-trip fourth at Pocono Tuesday after missing just a head in the start prior after racing first-over. Has back class and may be heard from.
10 CHEYENNE RYAN LEE Surprise winner showed speed and won for fun last Friday at the nice price of $17.20. From the 10 hole, it-s likely he will not be heard from tonight.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 1-4-3-6
H Horse Comment
1 ALBERGITA HANOVER Has had a superb year racing on the tough New York Sire Stakes circuit. Trainer: Nice filly with a lot of speed. Raced well from a bad post in the NYSS Final. Looking forward to seeing her back on the big track.
2 THREE TIMES A LADY Poor performances in three straight outings stamp her as an outsider in this field, but she does own a mark of 1:53.4 and does draw well, so she may be able to surprise and grab a piece.
3 DRESDEN Whipped New York Sire Stakes Excelsior -A- types three straight before going up against better here and finishing an unthreatening sixth.
4 THINK OF GALAXIES Can be asked for a quick burst of early speed and deliver just that, which could set her up well in this field.
5 SOUTHWIND XENA Never involved in her first Kindergarten attempt art odds of 21-1. Will need to do quite a bit of improving.
6 I SAY NO MORE Steady sort from Erv Miller might in the right spot to pull off an upset at a decent price. Will benefit in a big way if there are several lead changes.
7 THREE WAY SPLIT Not close in either parimutuel start this year, draws poorly, has no speed and will need much to go her way to be close.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 5-4-1-2
H Horse Comment
1 PIERCEWAVE HANOVER Failed to threaten during Lasa Dida Lady-s repeat win one week ago. Has some back class and should benefit from that return Big M engagement, regardless of how unspectacular it might have been.
2 SOUTHWIND FROST Has put together two good efforts in a row for trainer Julie Miller. One-for-15 record is a bit of a bummer but he fits with these nonetheless and could be close. Trainer: Very consistent and doing well right now.
3 ICINGON DE CUPCAKE Beat weaker at Harrah-s Philadelphia from off the pace as the 4-5 favorite. This might appear to be a bump up in class - which it is - but this veteran is accustomed to racing with stronger stock than he faces here.
4 GEMOLOGIST Jordan Derue brings this 5-year-old son of Cantab Hall to town showing all kinds of capable efforts with stronger foes in recent starts at three out-of-town tracks.
5 CARRICK Did well for second at The Big M in last taking plenty of money into Lasa Dida Lady. One of the primary contenders in this field.
6 DI OGGI Did not bring much to the table in Big M return, but much wasn-t expected (43-1). Trish Adams student might be firing away from the gate. Watch the board.
7 CHIPLOSIVE Has a clear class edge on this field but has not raced well in three straight starts. Cullipher trainee could rebound in this spot.
8 LIFETIME ROYALTY Did well from post eight in a tougher field after crushing a weaker bunch in the start prior. This might prove to be a spot where he can be highly competitive.
9 ALL AMERICAN N Has gone off stride in three of his last five charted lines and draws poorly. Will try to work his way back with an effort off which he can build.
10 MUGSHOT JESS Beat a weaker group at Freehold when last seen two weeks ago but the 10 hole is an awful lot to overcome tonight.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 8-1-7-2

1 UNWRITTEN CHAPTER Missed a head for $225,000 in the New York Sire Stakes Final on New York Night of Champions Night. Has raced on the rim with or without cover and been close in last two. Dangerous in this field.
2 ROYSON-S PUNCH Toscano trainee has won three-of-seven this year, but those wins came against weaker stock as compared to what he faces tonight.
3 JULA PRO HANOVER Has been uncompetitive in each of his last three parimutuel outings. Finds himself in a tough field and does not figure close.
4 VENTURESOME Did cop a check in two straight but is another who appears to be swimming in the deep end of the pool.
5 WHOTHEHILLAREYOU Qualifier was good but this Muscle Hill product raised no eyebrows in either of his betting starts during July.
6 RED REDEMPTION Finished fourth or better in three straight. Leaves from a good post and does not figure to get bet too heavily. Merits a look.
7 JACK FIRE Dropped a notch and responded in a big way, taking the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Consolation in 1:56.1. Has more than enough early speed to get a good spot.
8 ZENITH STRIDE Peter Haughton champion looked good when second to Lindysmusclemania. Draws a bad post again but is the one to beat in here. Trainer: Really happy with his race after the time away and he had a good week.
9 SHARE THE WEALTH Went off stride in the stretch last week, finished fourth but was placed sixth. With plenty of speed to his inside, this could prove to be a rough night.
10 GRANT HALL Qualifier was a real WOW but will he be able to make any noise in a good field making his fourth career start from post 10- I think not.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 3-1-5-7

1 BETTOR NOT TALK His lifetime-best time of 1:51.2 is better than any in this field, and that came on the three-turn track at The Meadows. The only problem- You must forgive his break in last.
2 HIGH BALLER Sixth-place finisher in his first career outing does not appear ready to compete with this field, which, overall, is fair at best.
3 SUMMA CUM LAUDE Sped past the quarter parked, secured the top and went down the pike a week ago at 7-1 when the favorite (who might not have reached anyway) was bothered in mid-stretch. Looks like the favorite. Trainer: Loves the big track and is on the improve.
4 GAMBLIN MO Tough-trip seventh in his Kindergarten debut does not put him in the upper echelon of contenders in this field.
5 SIMON SAYS HANOVER Put together a :27.1 final quarter while rallying to finish third in Summa Cum Laude-s win. That was his best effort of the season so consider this Alagna trainee.
6 ALWAYS B SWEET Showed early speed to beat a weaker field two back. May be asked for pace early on to secure a good position close to the action.
7 BETTOR OF THE WEST Can-t imagine he-ll take too much money from this post yet he-s another who has early speed that-s capable of being in the mix.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 9-8-7-1
H Horse Comment
1 OUR MISS REESE Performing at a reasonable level of late with stock of similar talent. Has back class and could hang around for a big piece.
2 GLENFERRIE BRONTE N Veteran with better than $378,000 in lifetime earnings is off a throwout line but the start prior puts him right there with this field.
3 KAY-S DELIGHT Prolific check-casher is usually coming fast and furious in the final eighth and should be a good price in a real head-scratcher.
4 TEAL HANOVER Her last two betting starts leave much to be desired. Let-s let this one get a good start under her belt before considering her.
5 ROSE RUN SAMANTHA Has a genuine class edge but it-s tough to get too excited about a win bet when your horse has won once in her last 44 starts.
6 TEAM KIWI N New Zealand invader has not been close in either of her two starts in North America. May show a bit more dropping in class.
7 HIGH ROLLING A Another who is not going well of late does show a win four back with non-winners of $5,000 at Yonkers, which stamps her as a contender.
8 PATANJALI N Extremely sharp sort has done well in three straight starts. Finished a close second on Sept. 11 to Exotic Dance, who has impressed winning two in a row.
9 THE FUN MARSHALL Had to rough it first-over against better last week. Prior two were solid second-place finishes against better stock.
10 BULLVILLEKARLA Lock-city against non-winners of $2,500 on July 31 but things have not gone swimmingly since. She could merit a look at this level next time if she draws a better post.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 2-7-9-10

1 ROCK N ZEUS It-s been a tough go for this one. Finished eighth at this low level at odds of 50-1 Saturday night. He-ll do well to get a check in here.
2 FOO FIGHTER N Some great angles here. Has plenty of back class having faced better in each of his last three. Went off as the favorite in last and finished a close-up fourth. This is the spot.
3 DEERFIELD BEACH Hasn-t been all that bad with $15,000 claimers at Harrah-s Philadelphia in his last half-dozen outings. In a spot were he can show more.
4 IDEAL CHILL Harrison student has no firsts or seconds in seven seasonal starts but is another in this field who drops in class and may awaken.
5 BETTOR BB Was last seen in a betting race on March 7, and he did not do good work that night. Will need a start or two to get back in the groove.
6 JERRYTONE Showed high speed at Freehold two back before settling for second as the 3-5 public choice. Has yet to win this year but could conceivably lead these at every call on best.
7 D M JOHNWICK Interesting. Returned from an eight-month layoff, took money (9-2) at Harrah-s Philadelphia and went parked to the quarter, cleared before weakening late for fourth with better.
8 KERRIN JOSEPH A No better than fifth in his last five, has no wins from 12 starts this season and draws an outside post with little gate speed. Next.
9 SHOREVIEW Was seen here in July being uncompetitive with far better. Makes track return for Team Bongiorno at the bottom class rung.
10 ALL IT TAKES Will need an awful lot of early fire power to make the top from this post but did race at a high level with better foes in last.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 4-2-5-6
H Horse Comment
1 ABOVE THE CLOUDS Trainer Butenschoen added trotting hopples two back and there has not been much improvement. Tough spot.
2 REBEL GIRL Was right there in a five-way photo finish last week. Figures to be close to the action in this short field. Norman trainee has a big chance.
3 SEL-S CHOICE Her fourth-place finish in the Jim Doherty Memorial is the best effort of her career. Landy trainee still has much to learn.
4 INSURED AM S Just missed in the NYSS final but is having a big year. Trainer: She did very well on the New York Sire Stakes circuit and has not gone a bad race all year long. She draws well and has been training well.
5 LIZ-S CHAMP Only two starts on her card, but both were good. Wallin trainee still needs schooling but is ahead of many with only two career starts.
6 AVENIR Has failed to maintain a proper gait in four straight betting starts. Hails from the Ron Burke barn, so we can expect improvement in the coming weeks.
13 Thirteenth Race Entries
Picks: 2-1-4-6
H Horse Comment
1 SOMETHINGINTHEWIND Shows a win at this level, this track on July 24 showing two moves. Clearly a big contender in this field.
2 WALKS OF LIFE Used a big move to grab the top last week, led until late before getting gunned down nearing the wire. The favorite-
3 MAKE IT BIG Won for fun two back at Freehold, but that was against a weaker field than he faces tonight. Hard to get behind.
4 ALBERT A- SCOOTIN Giant three-wide move at three-quarters led to winner-s circle visit at Freehold from post eight. Dangerous with the appropriate pace scenario.
5 THUNDER DOME Not going well right now. His best effort in his last five starts was a fifth-place finish with cheap Hawthorne stock.
6 GRANDPA DON Shipped in from Pocono and went well for third from off the pace at this level. Has an outside chance.
7 COLONIAL ROAD Has hit the board in nine-of-14 starts this year yet still has no wins. Might be worth including on your Pentafecta tickets.
8 AMERIMAN Did well for second at Freehold from the one hole, which is a whole new ballgame when compared to the eight hole at The Meadowlands.
9 OUR ART AND HEAVEN Kind of a hit-or-miss type who sandwiched a win around a pair of seventh-place finishes in his last three starts. Bad post.
10 DIAMOND COWBOY Another in this field who ships in sharp from Freehold. Eleven-year-old has earned over $715,000 in his career but finds a tough spot tonight.
