1 First Race Entries
Picks: 4-2-7-1

1 IDEAL GINNY Connections are taking a shot here. She raced well behind a very nice Toscano NYSS filly. She can earn a check in here.
2 MS CAILA J FRA This filly has really come into her own. She made an unfortunate break in the Lynch, but her qualifier says she is sharp.
3 CERTIFIED IDEAL She was well-beaten in her NJSS leg behind the favorite here. Qualified ok behind ‘Caila. Think she is up against it.
4 I LUV THE NITELIFE Stands out in here. She showed guts winning last week. Now back against just NJ-sired fillies. Short price favorite.
5 JK LETITGO Woke up with a much improved effort last time out after a strong qualifier. We’ll see if she is ready for prime time tonight.
6 AUTHORIZE She has been a disappointment this year following a strong 2YO season. At this point, she needs to show a form reversal.
7 JERSEYLICIOUS After starting the year 8 for 8, she has gone 0 for her last 7. Figures to take back and make one late run for a piece.
2 Second Race Entries
Picks: 1-5-2-4
H Horse Comment
1 BEE A MAGICIAN Would have liked to see her take on the boys. She enters this off a World Record mile and appears much the best.
2 FASHION ATHENA Raced quite well last week showing good speed. This filly has talent and I expect to see her in The Final next week.
3 MISS STEELE Made a bad break last week which is uncharacteristic for her. She is only 2 for 22 lifetime. No mistakes allowed tonight.
4 MA CHERE HALL Coming off a bad break as well. Showed the talent she possesses with a sharp win in The Reynolds. Exotics player.
5 FRAU BLUCHER No shame in being 2nd in that World Record mile last week. At this point, I think she is the 2nd best 3YO filly around.
6 HANDOVER BELLE Added trotting hobbles last time, but she was still well beaten by Bee A Magician. Takes make, hopes to make final.
7 DÉJÀ VU TOO She was finishing well last time and out-raced her odds. That said, this is a huge test for class. A longshot.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 2-1-8-5
H Horse Comment
1 CORKY One of the leading Hambletonian contenders. May have bounced a little off 3 big efforts in a row. Expect a rebound tonight.
1A MUSCLE MOUNTAIN He’s honest in that you know what he is going to give you. Nice compliment to Corky. More likely for a minor award.
2 E L ROCKET This colt is a very scary 3YO. I am not sure we know just how good he is yet. Right now he is a prime Hambo contender.
3 DREAMS OF THUNDER His win against nw1 company was good, but I think this is a rather ambitious spot. Looks like a longshot.
4 CAVEAT EMPTOR He had a nice 2YO season, but his 3YO season has not lived up to the promise. Needs to turn things around.
5 PICTURE THIS The lone trotter here that is not Hambo-eligible. Loved his races in The Beal. A return to that makes him a contender.
6 BLOODSTOCKSHALLTAB Good honest trotter that has done good work on the PASS circuit. Loses Miller, but he can earn a check.
7 BANCO SOLO Has been disappointing following a 7 win season last year. Connections trying to get him to the Hambo in a wide open year.
8 ALL LAID OUT That was an ill-timed break last week. His previous efforts at Pocono were a better example of his talent. Hambo-bound.
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 2A-7-5-2
H Horse Comment
1 ALWAYS THERE He would have had to have raced better in that last start to consider him a contender against the best of these. Passing.
1A ONLY THE LONELY Echo the feelings regarding his stablemate. He couldn’t handle Sir Richard Z Tam last time. This field is better.
2 EMERITUS MAXIMUS That was a very tough spot he was put into last time, but it was a good prep for this. Kicks off a powerful entry.
2A WAKE UP PETER He actually went a very strong mile in The Meadowlands Pace, never seeing the pylons. Expect him to be tough here.
3 IDEAL CARVER He has been racing well against some tough competition at Yonkers. Just not sure he will breakthrough with a win here.
4 ROCKS N BONDS Exits the same race as Always There where this gelding was a bit better. I can see him earning a check in here.
5 ROCKIN AMADEUS His Meadowlands Pace was disappointing. Gingras put him in a perfect spot, he just came up empty. Must rebound.
6 REAL ROCKER Nice mile last time in The Hanover. That said, he was 63-1 when last facing these in the NJSS. Needs to pick it up.
7 JOHNY ROCK He had no chance in The Pace with that trip. Feel he has more talent than he showed that night. Don’t sell too short.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 4-6-7-3
H Horse Comment
1 TIME TO KILL She has not made the transition for age 2 to 3. She would need to improve if she wants to make the Final.
2 SOUTHWIND COCOA I wonder if her last 2 starts are a sign that she is starting to turn her season around. Very dangerous if that’s true.
3 RARING TO GO S I liked how she was finishing against good older horses last time. Don’t like her to win, but she will make the Final.
4 TO DREAM ON Given the trip, she had absolutely no chance in the Del Miller. Notice, the trotting hobbles are off now. Very interesting.
5 COFFEECAKE HANOVER Liked her race last week as she beat a nice filly in Fashion Athena. Seems to be a logical contender here.
6 MISTERY WOMAN I like this filly and she has caught Bee A Magician 3 times in her last five starts. I think we see speed tonight.
7 CLASSIC MARTINE She gets a major test for class tonight, but has been racing well. Like how she overcame the break last week, too.
6 Sixth Race Entries
Picks: 4-2A-1A-5

1 DYNAMIC YOUTH Exits a very fast mile where he raced well. Just missed a check in The Haughton Final. Battles for a place in the Final.
1A A ROCKNROLL DANCE That is a World Record mile last week in The Battle of Lake Erie. He seems to be back to his best. Can’t dismiss.
2 HUGADRAGON This level appears to be a bit out of reach for him. A win is a reach, but he is likely in contention for a check once again.
2A SWEET LOU Raced quite well in The Haughton, but just couldn’t get to Pet Rock in the stretch. He is back on top of his game as well.
3 OUR LUCKY CHIP He was a popular play last week, but that effort was disappointing. Back in against the best, makes things tough.
4 BOLT THE DUER He seems to always be caught in a tough spot in the stretch. Double World Champion is a major contender once again.
5 MODERN LEGEND He raced well in The Franklin, making an aggressive move to the lead. Has rested up for this. Battles for minor award.
6 THINKING OUT LOUD The Meadowlands Pace favorite from last year makes his return. Tough trip at Northfield. Rallies into it late.
7 RAZZLE DAZZLE Had a good trip in The Haughton Final, but just did not offer the late punch. I still think he is best on smaller tracks.
7 Seventh Race Entries
Picks: 6-3-5-2
H Horse Comment
1 FOILED AGAIN Just toss out the start at Northfield as State Treasurer stopped in his face. Draws well and should be prominent throughout.
1A HILLBILLY HANOVER This is a very nice horse, but he seems to be just a cut below these. He enters this race is excellent form though.
2 WARRAWEE NEEDY Tried to grind it out first over in The Haughton Final and raced admirably. He does his best work off a helmet. Factor.
3 GOLDEN RECEIVER He didn’t exactly spit the bit in the stretch last time and I think he was taken off his game by yielding. Will be blasting.
4 MR HASANI He has earned his way into this very tough spot by racing quite well this year. Still think he is a notch or two below these.
5 PET ROCK Game and gritty win in The Haughton Final and he is one of the best of his generation. Obviously, one of the major players.
6 HURRIKANE KINGCOLE Welcome back Kingcole. That was a monstrous mile on Pace night. Interesting to see him teamed with Tetrick.
7 DAPPER DUDE He was a very nice 3YO last year and that was a decent try at Mohawk. Have to believe he is a cut below the best here.
8 FRED AND GINGER He is 2nd in the TVG points standings, but he has tailed off lately. This wide draw makes things a bit tough for him.
8 Eigth Race Entries
Picks: 3-1A-1-6
H Horse Comment
1 HIGH BRIDGE That’s an interference break last time at Philly, so draw a line through that. Has been racing well this year. A contender.
1A BLUTO Caught a major Hambo contender in Spider Blue Chip last time. Another having a solid season. Nice compliment to High Bridge.
2 BRODWAY PRINCE Never got on track at Yonkers. He might like the longer stretch at The Meadowlands. Might toss underneath.
3 JACKS TO OPEN This horse has looked very good in New York. Following a good effort tonight, Burke may have 2 Hambo starters.
4 ROSSINI He seems to have hit his best stride in his last pair of starts. That said, I believe he is a notch below the best of these.
5 RAVEN VICTORY Beaten 16 lengths in the Dancer. Catches an overall softer bunch here and can contend for a minor award this time.
6 SMILIN ELI Has not raced in a month and was reported sick after The Beal. As a favorite in here, I think he is a play against. We’ll see.
7 SMOOTHER RIDE Form has gone in and out so far this year. One month ago he was favored over the Yonkers Trot favorite. Interesting.
8 WHEELING N DEALIN I have not been impressed by either start this year. The once Hambo favorite really has to pick up his game.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 2-3-7-4
H Horse Comment
1 CHEYENNE REIDER Kicks off a wide-open field. Aggressively handled from post 10 last week and raced quite well. Will be using a bit.
2 CORKY BARAN Had way too much to do to catch Seek The Dragon last time. Draws better, likely will be closer and price will be better.
3 SEEK THE DRAGON Monstrous effort while receiving Lasix for the second time. Any repeat of that mile makes him very tough in here.
4 DASH N Rallied well last time and this is a very good post for him as well. Expect him to be a in a live outer flow. Arrives late on the scene.
5 GIANT SCULPTURE Not a bad mile last time when out-racing his odds of 26-1. Draws well for this, but I think he is still a longshot to win.
6 TY’S A BIG STAR Finished an OK 3rd last time, but given how sharp some of these horses raced, he would be a surprise to me if he wins.
7 FREDDY DAY HANOVER Drop and pop winner last time. Freddy Day is not usually great on the lead either. A logical contender again.
8 BUCKEYE IN CHARGE Looked like an easy winner last time. He did come home in just 29.2 though. A win again would surprise me here.
9 KAUFMAN HANOVER Well-beaten 3rd last time and I didn’t like how he was finishing his mile. He would be a surprise for me here.
10 ALLAMERICAN APACHE Parlayed a perfect pocket trip into an easy win. Post 10 makes a repeat of that trip unlikely. Using underneath.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 3-5-6-7
H Horse Comment
1 WIN MISSY B She slowed abruptly in her return mile and was then a sick scratch. Is she ready for an improved effort. Tough call in here.
2 UNCOMMON NIGHT Finished a well-beaten 5th off a 5 month layoff last time. This field is obviously much tougher. She is a longshot.
3 CHECK ME OUT Was flat out motoring in the last 1/8th of a mile last week. Tetrick back in the bike. With Maven off this week, she’s tough.
4 D’ORSAY Got rough gaited early in the mile and never really settled after that. That was actually a big trip she went. I will be using here.
5 REAL BABE That was a career best effort for her last week and she remains in very sharp form. Looking at her as a prime contender.
6 PERSONAL STYLE She was closing well at the end of the mile last week also. Good post for her and expect more of the same again.
7 BLUFF She has speed and remember this mare is a pace-factor at the very least every time she goes behind the gate. Use underneath.
8 ONE MORE GINNY She had a nice campaign last year and that qualifier looks pretty good. I wouldn’t be surprised if she landed a check.
9 COWGIRL HALL Saved ground and narrowly missed earning a check last time. I think that is her best gameplan once again.
10 LOVELY VACATION Made a break last time at 54-1. Now has post 10. She would be a big surprise if she were to hit the board here.
11 LOVE N LINDY Making her 2nd start off the layoff, but she will need to improve quite a bit on that first mile to contend in here.
11 Eleventh Race Entries
Picks: 4-3-9-7
H Horse Comment
1 DAMON BLUE CHIP Just 1 for 12 on the year and his last mile he just couldn’t get involved. Gets Gingras back and should be closer.
2 DREAMZZZZ R FOR U Nice drop and pop win last time, although the final quarter was on the slower side. One of many contenders here.
3 MAJOR BELLE He was a very good 4th in a very fast mile when last seen here. This is the softest bunch he has seen in some time.
4 KEEP GOING He has raced well here in the past and I he will find himself in a live outer flow. I would not leave him off your tickets.
5 A SWEET RIDE His last 2 starts were not as sharp, although they were against better. He is versatile and is proof of how tough this race is.
6 PEDRO ISLAND Has gotten back on track in his last pair and he finished right behind Dreamzzzz last time. This will be tougher though.
7 RHOMBUS I always believed this horse had ability, but I don’t know what to make of his last start. He may have just been too far back.
8 LAWGIVER HANOVER That was a better effort last time, but note his mile before that he disappointed against similar. Tough call now.
9 ON THE RADAR He raced OK last week, but did burn some cash again. Moves outside which puts him at the mercy of the pace and trip.
10 SHOCK IT TO ‘EM A total wild card in this field as he is a 3YO exiting a very good race moving to post 10 against older. Interesting.
12 Twelfth Race Entries
Picks: 5-9-7-8
H Horse Comment
1 MIGHTY YOUNG JOE Enters this off a win, but was facing lesser in that spot. I think this will prove to be too tough for him.
2 BULLET SPEED Sharp win two starts back, but this field is tougher than what he faced last time so I will be playing against in this spot.
3 DREAMFAIR KOVU Very tough to get a gauge on that Grand River form here. Has had a nice season, but I will be watching this start.
4 BONDY N This horse could be a sleeper in this field. Didn’t really have a chance last week and was in too tough 2 starts back. Interesting.
5 TOWNSLIGHT HANOVER Not a bad mile last time at all and he has been facing some good horses lately. Should be left in the discussion.
6 PANESTHETIC He typically is a check-getter at this level, although this particular field has come up rather tough. Minor award likely.
7 BREAKIN THE LAW He raced very well in each of his last three starts. Just 1 for 11 on the year, but he must be left in the mix again.
8 BOLERO ANDREW I thought he would be a little bit better last time and he might have bounced off that big mile. Must be included.
9 ERLE DALE N He was flying late in the mile and the move to Tetrick here will attract plenty of attention. A likely favorite. Might show speed.
13 Thirteenth Race Entries
Picks: 5-6-3-1
H Horse Comment
1 PRINCE SHARKA Didn’t have much racing luck last time and this horse might be sharper than you think. Driver change to Miller as well.
2 AXIOM HANOVER Talented horse but his form is too inconsistent for my liking. I will watch his first start back off the layoff.
3 MOONLITEONTHEBEACH Tried the best of his generation without much success. Had a brutal trip when last seen here. Rebounding now.
4 ROCKNROLL JEWEL I don’t think the front end is the best place for him. I would like to see him come off a helmet in this field.
5 NEXT FLIGHT He was a fast closing 2nd at ridiculously inflated odds last week. That price is gone but he is still a contender in this group.
6 BIG TIME PROMISE Another three year old tackling older and he has had a very nice season. Finished 2nd to a very nice horse last out.
7 SHOWDOWN AT SUN UP Nice win at The Ocean last time. There is a horse making a similar move here on Friday. A wild card here.
8 ELUSIVE REWARD Was 77-1 when making that break at this same level last time. I will be playing against for the time being.
9 THE BRUISER Recent form has been just OK, but that last effort leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I will be watching this time around.
10 GAMBLER’S TALE Not a bad mile last time, but Lewis is going to have to be very aggressive from here. Looking elsewhere for winner.
