1 NORTHERN VIRGIN Going pretty well since being bought by Eric A. Hasn't been lucky enough to win for him yet, but that should change soon. I like the rail here and expect to see serious speed. The one to catch, maybe?
2 TWINCREEKS JESSE Speaking of no luck, that would be the case for this fella lately. Was good enough to win twice and just got nipped. Tonight's problem is the hike back up in class. So are others, so maybe he's got a shot.
3 RATHER SWELL In for the tag here. Didn't have all that much punch when it counted last week. It will take a bigger effort to get past this bunch, and I suggest you demand fair value if you fancy. Will need a lot more here.
4 SPORTS COWBOY Interesting spot for this guy, coming out of non winners of two or three. These are older, more experienced foes. Gets another new driver. I guess we'd have to rate him a longshot with these. Not quick enough?
5 LODI MACHETTE MAN Tough call here, because he was super in the first few tries here, and then he stopped badly for no apparent reason last week. With that said, Andy liable to change up the strategy here. Must bounce back.
6 ROCKINWITHTHEBEST Was basically a "runaway" with Brett here two back. Changed tactics at Freehold and circled the field. I would assume he'll be closing in here and we'll see if he's mile track quality. Not sure about that.
7 FEARLESS LEADER N Figured to have a good shot in that race last week and Andy Mac put a perfect steer on him to get the money. Bumps up a notch, but has the back class to handle it. The problem is the post. Has to get into it.
8 SPIRIT OF TRUTH Not in a good spot from way out here. I don't envision him blasting, and I don't envision him outkicking the whole field. Your call?

1 LETSGETINTOTROUBLE Only made four starts last year at two. Did have a couple of seconds. Can't really say I like that one month gap between last two qualifiers. That tells me something isn't right. I will pass, and watch one.
2 ROLLING WITH POWER Hasn't hit the board yet in nine career starts, and this is ambitious spot. Not for me.
3 LONG BEACH Ended up with a good trip last week, but clearly lacked the knockout punch. Gets a new driver tonight, with Brett not here and will have to find more punch. It's as simple as that. Will tow along behind the fave again.
4 LYONS STEEL Hasn't shown a whole lot in recent tries. Those slow starts never help. I will have to pass here.
5 BAG PIPE MAJOR Speaking of slow starts, that's usually a problem for this one too! Every once in a while he gets into a live flow, but not always. This post is perfect. Will need to step up his game a notch, but we've seen it before.
6 ART DANCER Couldn't possibly have cherry-picked an easier spot for his comebacker. Those are sharp looking qualifiers, so he is clearly the one to beat with that back class on view. I doubt they will catch him tonight.
7 J K FIELDING Finds his way back to the mile track after a disaster at Yonkers. I guess he just can't handle the half, like so many others. No worries. Back into reasonable spot here, except facing a superior foe in #6. Will hope for a trip.
8 WILDMAN Shows too many breaks for my taste, so the Wildman looks like a pass from an outside post.
9 INTUITIVE WRITER Up from Freehold where he didn't make much of an impact. I can't exactly guarantee the mile track will be the answer. New barn probably still figuring him out. Let's see if he belongs here.
10 YO APOLLO CREED No doubt that he's tailed off, after those couple of decent efforts at beginning of year. Had a rough trip last time, and figures to have a rough trip again from the 10-box. Not much luck here.

1 DANISH DURANGO Had that tough grind into the front-running winner in last week's amateur race. BUT, at least he stayed trotting! I was beginning to wonder about this veteran. That was good step back in the right direction.
2 CAULFIELD Was in a little steep last week against that higher class and also had a tough trip. Didn't quit all that badly, however. I like the inside post again and Jimmy will probably be aggressive again. No reason not to. Take a shot!
3 JUST FOR TODAY Down from Monti with a series of good efforts. Normally, I just leave them out, but not for this trainer. Gary M has surprised us many times in the past. He probably feels this gelding can hack it here. We'll see.
4 STITCH IN TIME One of the possibilities in here, for sure. Just throw out that last one when overmatched. Was very good in the win to beat lesser. This is the mid-range class, and he gets a decent post. Packs one solid move.
5 STARSABOVEALLERAGE Liked him last time, and A Nap put a very good steer on him to get the money. Gelding begins his ascent back up the class ladder now and this is where the water gets deeper. He'll need another big one.
6 TRIUMPHANT'S CHIP Things haven't been going too well for this gelding lately. That's probably why Scotty D sends him back to the big track. He does have back class to work with, provided he's ready. A possibility!
7 MAJESTIC SUNSET Not much going right here, since that win over a weak bunch back in February. On his good days, he's probably quick enough to threaten. Should offer a square price if you want to try.
8 DOMINUS HANOVER In for the tag here, otherwise he wouldn't be eligible. Last time we saw him here he simply wasn't good enough to win. This post isn't going to help, so it'll be up to pilot to get him a trip somehow.
9 MR LOVER Shows a real mixed bag of efforts lately. Came bursting home last time at a nice price. I hate this post, but do see that he can leave at times. Not really sure what to expect for tonight.
10 A JERSEY CONTRACT Probably the key to this wide open race. Why? The post! Blast out speed is something he's not shown lately, but this class drop is big. If he finds his way into the hunt, watch out late. A big possibility.

H Horse Comment
1 TERROR OF THE NITE Gets a big break at the post draw here and that will help. I thought last week's effort was a bounce back kind of rally. Andy Mac fit him perfectly and we're liable to see a lot more speed from this post. Use!
2 TENDTOWIN Up from Rosecroft for a big track try. Tough trip last time. Decent rally before that. I guess he'll just sit and stalk and he could end up with a great trip sitting in. Barn doesn't usually send, unless they can do here.
3 SPAGHETTI EDDIE Remains deceptively sharp. Off two straight tough trips, he seems overdue for a smoother one. That can happen from a good post in a smaller field. Eddie owns one big punch, but timing and trip are critical.
4 FLIGHT AGAIN Basically bottomed out of the pocket last time, so I don't know what to expect now. That wasn't exactly a good effort, so I'm not too fond of his chances in this claimer. These are tougher.
5 JOJO JOVE This guy is going pretty well right now. It took a big mile to beat him last week and that is expected again. Figures to fire out, and possibly trade the lead with #1. Give him the pocket this time and see what happens.
6 GLASS PRINCE Both #1 and #5 are speed types, whereas this guy is a dead closer. Hoping for some sort of hot or heavy pace and he can pick up the pieces. If that happens, watch out for him late. Not out of the question.
7 MCCITO Just rode the cones with these last week and was no solid threat. Loses that inside post edge and I think it's a problem. I don't envision him blasting, so he's at mercy of both trip and pace. Might not work out tonight.
8 DRUNKEN TERROR Probably the key to the race, because of the post. The flow last week didn't help his chances and I don't see a whole lot of flow to this one either. Can he leave? He's got the right guy driving if he can leave.

1 TALENT SOUP Very talented horse here. I still remember that blazer in 48 last summer on that sloppy night. So, tonight is the comebacker and he had two qualifiers. They weren't great. I just don't think he's ready yet.
2 WORKANDPLAYHARD Perfect trip and solid mile for Merton's first Big M driving win! Kudos for that. Horse steps up a little bit here, but his speed is solid and he might step right around #1. That would work out for a nice trip.
3 ALLBLACK STRIDE N Dropped and popped to the nice, easy win at Freehold. I still remember loving this guy in a much tougher class here a while back. Maybe he's ready to resume his big track career? If ready, he can win.
4 BARIMAH A Yes, the whole world saw that trip last week, so don't expect much of a price. If anything, he will be way overbet again, and I wouldn't exactly call him a cinch. If sent off at 3-5 or 4-5, that's a risky play. Still needs a trip.
5 LEGION OF BOOM Another one sent north up the Turnpike tonight. Barn doesn't usually send the ones that can't do here. That's a tough class he's coming out of from Dover. I would give this guy an extra look if the price is right.
6 BERING SEA HANOVER Andy Mac had a choice and opted here over #5. Had a tough go of it in second back off the layoff. This is the start where he should be at strongest. Will that be enough? I'm not so sure.
7 CALVIN B Cal had the tough, grinding trip up at home base and couldn't quite get the job done. He's reunited with Corey here and he drives the horse best. The other recent problem are these post draws! When is Cal going to fire?
8 HOWSABOUTAKISS No, I don't know what got into this guy last time, but that was a real dazzler! Sometimes Eric A is just fantastic at making speed! But, if you didn't have last time at 10-1, it's tough play tonight at lesser odds.

1 CLOUSEAU HANOVER Have to like this spot for returning 4YO tonight. Gets a good post off a no chance effort at Pocono. That was a tough field too! Prior effort here was solid and that's what I'm expecting from him tonight.
2 MAAJAACKKOBE Benefited from the perfect trip of a lifetime last week and scored at odds on., Now, it's a double jump up in class and a much tougher situation. I will probably swing against, if the price is short again.
3 SISKEL Yes, I can see that he's burned a lot of money lately, but this is completely different situation. A much better post will keep him close and he packs a pretty big wallop when the trip is right. Price should be inviting too!
4 MISTER TRUTH Versatile sort usually needs a good trip to do any damage and I can see that coming here. He does have speed if pilot wants and this looks like a good spot for it. Send, sit and stalk. That's the ticket!
5 SAMS TRIPLE CROWN Sam hasn't been very lucky since that sparkling win of earlier. But, this is the right spot to hop back on board. Corey chose him over #3, so that's a big call. I can't imagine big price, but he will be a huge factor.
6 ROCKIN THE HOUSE IF you think there will be action in this race, then this could be your closing play. Jimmy gets along with him, and he's not an easy horse to drive. Owns one move, but timing and trip are always critical. Tuf call.
7 SIPPIN ON SUDS Looks like the odd man out in here. No speed. Outside post. Not ready yet off the layoff.
8 JOE'S BID That was GREAT drive by Andy on this guy last week. It took a lot of patience, but it ended up working out nicely. This is talented gelding that's worked himself back into shape nicely. The big problem is the bad post again.

1 DURANT Wow, that was a great try last week! After listening to Lounsbury about this horse, I can tell why he loves him! Is he really a "preferred" type horse? I guess we're going to find out. Plots for a nice trip stalking Joe.
2 ARCHANGEL THREE I didn't expect him to be ready in that comebacker last week. He wasn't. Unfortunately, gets stuck in the Preferred again and will probably need one more. Will drop in class soon, and that's time to bet.
3 ARTFUL WAY Andy put a very nice steer on this fella last week, firing out for the trip. Did get trapped in briefly and fought willingly to just miss second. That was strong acclimating mile to prove he can hack it here. Send again?
4 BETTOR'S EDGE Well, I was wrong about him leaving last week. Ok. With that said, it might be his new way to race. If he does take back here, I don't foresee him getting a great journey. Not sure what to expect tonight.
5 MACH TIME N No idea what happened over at Yonkers, but he did come back and requalify well. Versatile gelding is capable of anything, be it speed or rally. I just don't know if the mile track will help him. We'll find out.
6 RODEO ROMEO Raced very, very well in both recent tries here, but tonight he gets stuck with a bad post. Could be the key to the race, because Andy Mac knows if he doesn't leave, he gets away last. What will he do?
7 WESTERN JOE Joe enjoyed a nice, easy cruise around the track last week, and we all expected that. Tonight, I have a feeling it will be different. Yes, he's versatile enough to do whatever Jimmy wants. BUT, this one won't be so easy.

1 MR EUROMAN N What do we do with this guy tonight? I have NO idea. Andy was listed on four of them in here and chose to stick with him. It's a sizeable class drop. BUT, which Man will show up? We all just have to guess.
2 MIKE'S Z TAM The lone 4YO in here tackling older, seasoned foes. Makes his second start back off the layoff and actually didn't race too badly in the comebacker. This is a VERY good horse that will wake up soon. But, when?
3 MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT Racing his eyeballs out right now, but just can't find a way to get lucky and win one. Gets a new driver tonight, with Andy on #1. I still like the way this guy is going. Would be very hard to leave out now.
4 ST LADS MOONWALK Squandered a good opportunity here two back. Most of the time, his best efforts here come against a lesser class. These might be a little too steep for him right now. We'll see.
5 ALL WEEK Couldn't possibly have been any better two weeks ago. Deserved the week off! Takes another bump up the class ladder, but I love the speed he's been showing. Figures to fire out again. Gets brave when left alone.
6 IN THE ARSENAL Classy horse here coming off a freshening. I think that'll do him some good. I liked what I saw in the qualifier. Gets to start at a reduced level here. If you tell me's ready, I would tell you to bet. Just not sure.
7 GRIFFON HANOVER Solid win here two back. A "better-than-it-looks" line from last week. I guess tonight's problem is the post. Not sure about his blast out capability, so that's the issue. How far back will he be, before kicking in?
8 MAJOR WAR Gets some much needed class relief, but this is no easy spot! We've seen this guy blast out before, so don't be shocked if he sends. That might be only way into it. Dangerous, if the price is as big as expected.
9 CENTURY CHURCHILL Set a pretty hot pace over at Pocono and got caught at 2-5. Ridiculous price! In this spot on another class hike, he'll be much higher odds. I don't think he's good enough to beat these.

1 QUALITY BUD Finally gets a break at the post draw, so we might need to take an extra look. The Bud often sneaks into the gimmicks at times, and this would be ideal spot. Should sit up close, and usually finishes well.
2 BAGGAGE CLAIM Forced to requalify after that disaster of a few weeks ago. Looked okay in the qua, so let's expect that he's back to usable form. When right, he packs nice speed, and plots for a good trip. Can be used here.
3 PACIFIC IMAGE Doesn't look ready yet after two sluggish qualifiers. A pass for tonight.
4 SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Up from Rosecroft with a real mixed bag of efforts. I think we've seen him here before. Shows a win here from last year too! It's a slight class drop. If price was big, I guess I wouldn't talk you off him.
5 STEADY PULSE The pride of the Dicostanzo stable scoots up the Turnpike from Freehold, but he's usually overmatched here. I like the midpack post, but he'd need a dream trip to jump up and beat these. Your call?
6 HIGH OCTANE N Still waiting on the wakeup call here, and that last mild improvement might be it. Did pass a few, but while still way back. I want to watch one more, and hope I'm guessing right. Needs to go faster.
7 MORE DRAGON On class alone, he should just crush these. Sometimes, it's as simple as that. The Dragon has faced far better in the past and this field is begging to be beaten. A good spot to grind his way into it. Can't go against.
8 GOLD STAR ROGER Trainer "took a flyer" on this one with the claim and we did see some improvement last time. Ended up with a great trip and had mild pace, but not vicious pace. Tonight's problem is the post. Needs a trip.
9 FOREVER WORTH IT Not much luck at the post draw here lately. Victor did a nice job sending him out for a tuck last week. That's what got the horse a check. Will he try it again? Why not? Won't get much coming from last.
10 ALLSTAR ENERGY Perhaps the key to the race, because of post 10. Shows plenty of ability to leave and it's not in pilot's nature to just grab up and take back. Expect a send, and if trip is okay, he has big chance. Off confidence builder.

1 NOCTURNAL BLUE CHIP Finally got luck for Team Orange Crush last week. It was nice trip, but good, dig-in effort. This gelding has improved with each recent start and now he steps up in class. The rail will help. Sends and sits.
2 NATIONAL SEELSTER Figured to need that first start back and did. With that said, he might need one more. I will be watching closely for future consideration, and possibly a class drop. That's when he will wake back up.
3 SIX GUN Going pretty well right now. That was tough assignment last week, trying to track down the well-meant Dorel. No such killers in here. I like the post. I like his form. No reason not to expect another big effort.
4 JACKSRLUCKYTOO Jack actually LEFT the gate last week! Didn't know that was possible. It ended up being the right move, but Jack just had no punch late. From this post, in this spot, he can go back to the rally. It will work.
5 SANTIAGO STYLE I really thought he had a sniff last week and it was a perfect and patient drive that got him home. But, if you didn't have him last week at 10-1, why try now at potentially lower odds? This is tougher spot too!
6 CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR Here's the wild card in here. Invades for barn that had a few wins last weekend, so that's good. It's a class drop. Took his mark on a big track. I guess it's all about pace and trip. I don't see much speed.
7 BIG STRETCH MARK His good run came to an end three weeks ago. Can't really say I like the gap between races, because he was going so well. This is also a drop, and if Eric A feels good about it, he will send out of the gate.
8 SAPPHIRE CITY Probably the key in this hard-to-handicap race. Clearly should be raced back into shape by now. It's a class drop, and he's due to show a lot more. If you tell me he's leaving the gate, I'm telling you to bet.

1 VICTORY AT LAST Has actually rounded into better form lately and this is the spot they've been waiting for. Fits the Dash series perfectly and drew the rail, as Andy's choice. That all adds up to a must use situation. Can't leave out.
2 BOBJACKS ANGLE A I know he does good work on the half mile tracks, but I always give him an extra look here too! Owns ONE big move in a mile, but it's all about trip and timing. The inside post keeps him close. Dangerous longshot.
3 STAKEOUT Wasn't bad here two back. Had a no chance spot from bad post at Pocono. They might have had this spot in mind all along. Dangerous longshot driver and inside post to keep him close. I wouldn't talk you off him.
4 DANISH DILIGENCE Can only win when things set up exactly perfect for him. I don't see that in this spot. Pass.
5 POP ICON Out of town invader is one of two for this barn. I kind of like the look of that last line from Pocono. We see that Chip Walther finally found a field he could beat. This guy got shuffled and finished up okay. A big maybe here.
6 ACTON ONELASTTIME I just don't think the big track will pick this veteran up. I'm going to pass upon return.
7 FOX VALLEY CADET Did a fairly good job of chasing a well-meant winner last week. Wasn't a super solid threat, though, and he was all out. Moves to outer post here, so Jimmy might have to leave with him. Any good trip helps.
8 BUPA BRUISIER That was pretty nice improvement in first start off the claim. Okay. I get it. What I don't like here is the post, because Bupa doesn't leave the gate very well. Unless, he's about to spring a surprise and shoot out.
9 ALL IT TAKES Just tell me that he's 80 percent ready and he'll probably win this. Have to believe Burke had this in mind all along, and he towed along nicely in the qualifier. One of several top chances for Andy Mac tonight. Use!
10 VICTORYDAZE WILWIN I guess if there's one thing I can guarantee tonight, it's that this guy will be last early. Unless somebody breaks. Hasn't been sharp in a long time and we have to wait for a wakeup call.
12 Twelfth Race Entries

1 CARD RUSTLER Had the obligatory tour of the track in first start back off the layoff. In for the tag here, or he wouldn't fit the condition. I like the rail here and expect horse to sit up close. The stalking trip. Can get a share.
2 BAY RUM That was some effort here upon arrival. Tough trip. Dug in and still held well. Was 36-1 last week, and probably won't offer that kind of price here. Post is better. Also a chance to get a whole lot closer for Pants.
3 DAVID'S DREAM Have to beware of Dave tonight. This is just about the right spot, and he's been giving hints that a return to top form is imminent. The post relief alone is huge, and I expect him to be in the hunt late. Watch out.
4 BUCKEYE IN CHARGE Didn't really have an easy trip last week in that blowout race, but he wasn't exactly flying home either. Always at mercy of both pace and trip. Unless you tell me he's second over behind hot pace, I will pass.
5 ROOSTER RABBIT Things did set up for the closers in that race last week, but this guy raced well. It was solid acclimating mile, and barn probably had this series in mind. He fits here, but may be overbet with Andy Mac.
6 TRYS LITTLE PRINCE Freshened up a little. Came back with pretty big qualifier at Monti, but is that enough to have him ready for mile track racing? I'm going to guess no, but I could be wrong. Let's see what Mike M has in mind.
7 DANISHDUJOUR Took a TON of betting action last week for some reason. Did not pay off. That was paceless race won up front, so I won't be too hard on him. Is he leaving in here? If not, it'll be long road home from the back.
8 STRATOCASTER One of the many in here with a chance. He's used to facing better and owns some prior success here. Had Andy Mac opted here, I probably would have liked a little more. Also hate the post. Tough call.
9 ALWAYS A DIAMOND Took a shot and left last week, only to get parked out. With that said, I have to doubt he'll take a shot again. These bad posts are just killers, folks. Have to pass.
10 PERSEVERANT Raced okay at Freehold last week, given a perfect drive by Eric A. Not likely to be that lucky from this spot tonight. Have to wait for better spot.
