H Horse Comment
1 TAPIT Not a whole lot going on with this horse right now, so she looks like a pass, even from the rail.
2 PARTY ON THE RIVER Still in pretty good form and back in the spot where he did major damage a while back. Got a big break at the post draw and looks very much like the one to beat. Might be pretty tough to catch in this spot.
3 MASTER OF EXCUSES Wasn't bad in that first try here. Kept up and was going okay late. Might have used that start as an acclimating mile? In line for another good trip here and I wouldn't be shocked if they got closer. Your call?
4 DANISH DURANGO Off the layoff here, with many good miles at Club Med under his belt. I guess it's all about readiness. The qualifier was okay, and probably exactly what they were looking for. Will he need one? Maybe.
5 TWO HIP DIP Boy, this horse will drive you crazy sometimes. There is talent in the tank, but it's not always on view. Took a week off after the most recent disappointment. I really don't know what to tell you now. Demand price if like.
6 HERE COMES NUMBERS Comes off another strong try. It's all about the speed with this gelding, but I will caution that the post tonight is tougher. I can't guarantee the horse will fire out, but that may be only way into it.
7 URIEL Speaking of speed, this gelding sure has some! Clearly proving that win a while back was no fluke. Fought willingly all the way home last time. Might have best chance to give #2 a real race late. Expect a send, and a fight!
8 LANDONFITZ Have to admit, this fella was pretty game last week too! That wasn't an easy trip, but he had to earn it late. Won't be helped much by this outer post tonight. Might be time to go against him, from way out here.
9 JUSTICE JET It looked to me like he would fit in perfectly here and it simply didn't happen. Not really sure what to tell you about that effort, other than it was somewhat flat. I guess I'd have tough time playing, after seeing that.
10 REIGNINGBLACKSWAN Still suffering a bad case of the bad post blues. Would be hard to like from this post.

H Horse Comment
1 SING ALONG Still very sharp, off another excellent try vs. a monster. There is no Monica in this race tonight, so maybe it's her turn to win one? I suspect she will be very hard to deny, especially from the pole post. Watch out!
2 QUEEN ELSA She's had a couple of prep starts down at Freehold. Remember, it takes a while to get back in gear off such a long layoff. Gets a nice, cozy post here, but it will be difficult just to keep up with #1. Not sure about that.
3 BRUNHILDA Another coming off a layoff. She sure didn't look all that ready in the comebacker, and I can't guarantee this will be any different. I suspect that she will eventually come around for her new barn, but probably not yet.
4 ESCAPE AGAIN Talented three-year-old here, with a bright future. Raced great when last seen here, and gained valuable experience over at Yonkers. Glad to see her back on the big track. Expect a top effort, in chase of #1.
5 ZANE HANOVER The other mare that's probably glad to get away from Monica! Owns a very good turn of speed, and it seems to be versatile too! I would have a tough time leaving her off the ticket from this ideal post. Use.
6 DUNESIDE LIFE Not really sure she she's in this race, which looks a lot tougher. Her last must be considered a disappointment. It happens. Tonight's problem is the post as well! Not sure she's going to blast. In too tough!
7 SHAREN HANOVER Coming off a bit of a clunker, folks. That happens too! Kind of got run over in the start before that, but by a better mare. This post will present a problem. She can leave if pilot wants. Might be only way into it.
8 BRAIDA HANOVER Not much luck at post draws here. Got a little luckier over at Yonkers, but still wasn't able to win one. I can't be too positive about this situation, with all the speed inside. Looks like she's still in too tough.
9 PETAL TO THE METAL Boy, can she fly late, but that lack of early zip is a big problem. Usually coming from too far back. The pole-sitter is the controlling speed of this one, so I don't know how fast the pace will be. Might not work.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 1-4-2-6
H Horse Comment
1 MUAY HANOVER Looked awfully good for a long time last week, until hitting that wall. With that said, it might have tightened him up! Has the rail here, and if anything, this field might be weaker than that one. Terry Morgan on!
2 TROUBLE RIEU N Looks like the other big player in here. That was fine speed try two weeks ago. I'm not really sure this guys wants to "set the pace," but from this post, who knows. Don't forget, it's been a long time since he won.
3 MARION GONDOLIER Definitely went a little more forward last few, and in this race, you have to reach for positive angles. The knock is the loss of A Nap. He chose #6. Maybe that should tell us something? Still can be used.
4 WIRED HANOVER Allowed into the race via the changed condition. Been in some really tough spots lately, so this is definitely a softer spot. I guess I wouldn't be shocked with a turnaround effort. Expect him to go forward in here.
5 DONOMONI It's tough to get a real read on his form right now, especially after the scratch. The qualifier wasn't very good, so I'll take the pass, wait and see approach. Needs to step up with more trot.
6 STAR STUDDED CAST I think we can make a case that he's tailed off just a bit. After the good mile on 1/8, the last two have been disasters. Trying big track now, and I can't guarantee that will be the answer. At least A Nap chose.
7 CAPER K COURT Did well to hit the ticket last time, at better than 70-1. Figures to offer another big price, and might need to get lucky in the trip department. Can never count on that. Wasn't Eric A's choice. Very mixed signals.
8 HS DEROY I'm pretty sure he had to "need" that last race. After missing a month. Came off the rail too, but ended up backing up. Moves to a much tougher post here and will likely be coming from rear. Not sure that will work out.
9 PLAYBOY RUSTY Just keeps making breaks, so he is always a pass for me. Especially from an outer post like this.
10 CYPRESS POINT Can't really make a strong case for any success in this corner. Plus, gets bad post too!
4 Fourth Race Entries
Picks: 4-3-5-1
H Horse Comment
1 HOLY BONES Hopples went on for latest qualifier and I did like the speed I saw. Just got collared late, but was fighting willingly. Not quite sure she's ready to trot with the likes of #3 or #5, but ya never know. We'll see.
2 POSSIBLE CREDIT The other filly in field just isn't ready for this year. Homebred will need more experience first.
3 BREAK FREE Tough call here, because he's had more than a few chances. Not likely to offer much of a price here, and I certainly can't call him a lock under any circumstances. Brett's job will be to try and steal away from #5 early.
4 NOBLE PRIZE Barn really put on a clinic here last weekend, especially with "project" horses like this. Gelding had to "need" that last one, off the missed time. Got parked out, so forgive the back-up finish. Should be ready for this now.
5 PRESIDENT ZETTE It does take a while, but once horse gets rolling, he finishes strong. That could easily set him up for a swoop here. Small size field will keep him closer. Watch out once he kicks it into high gear late.
6 SEVEN ROSES I remember this one's dam on the NY Sires Stakes trail many moons ago. She was good! Homebred mare doesn't have a lot of experience, so that makes me wonder. Let's see if the big track will pick up her game.
7 MASS PSYCHOLOGY Debuts for new connections here. Too much missed time, however. I suspect she is going to need at least one, if not a couple of races. Will be watching closely for signs of life, however.
8 JAILHOUSE CJ Off since September. Qualifier was okay, but not great. Left me feeling that he was going to need a few more trips before we saw best. Drew outside post, so let's watch one from the back of pack.
5 Fifth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 CHEYENNE TRIENGEL Freshened up a couple months. Came back with pretty good qualifier and I must note that Marcus chose her over #3.5. That's a key call! Figures to sit in, save ground and try to get lucky late. A maybe.
2 JADED DREAM In a race where all eight are technically "dropping in class," is it really a class drop? This mare crushed a field like this two back and I guess it wouldn't shock me if it happened again. Don't expect 7-1, however.
3 HEARTS N FLOWERS Also won the last time she was at comparable level. I would have preferred more, had Marcus chosen her, though! One move grinder can uncork a good kick at times. I guess it's all about pace and trip for her.
4 BLUSH HANOVER Was just okay in that race last week. Rode the pylons and had just minor pace. While it's a drop for her as well, I don't know if its enough. Brett did choose her over #7, but I expected that. Still a tough call in this spot.
5 SPILLING THE BEANS Seems overdue to get lucky again. Since this is best post drawn in recent memory, it might be time to take a speed try again! I would send her. Why not? Most in this field seem to be closers. I like at a price!
6 JOYFUL GAME Took a couple of weeks off, after a dull run over at Yonkers. I can understand that. Her qualifier was okay, but I do have a feeling this isn't quite the right spot just yet. I'll be watching closely for future consideration.
7 ASK QUEENIE Still trying to figure out why she was so heavily bet a few weeks ago. Never really had a chance the way the race went, and this time, Brett did not choose her. Still has a little something to prove here on mile track.
8 GIRLLOOKATTHATBODY Yes, she did race a little bit better last time, so that's the kind of hint I've been waiting for. Tonight's problem is the post, though. I don't envision her blasting. And I don't envision her sweeping them all.

H Horse Comment
1 KABANG A lack of stamina looks like the issue here. Remember it was very cold and windy last Friday, and I'm sure it was the same over at Yonkers. I can understand a tiring effort, but 31.2? No killers in here, but more needed to win.
2 ROCKIN REDFORD Looks very much like the one to beat tonight. The improved post will make a big difference, and I fully expect A Nap to be more aggressive with him tonight. Any smooth journey and he can win it.
3 IRON MINE JOHNNY I don't really know what to tell you about Johnny right now. Regressed into another miscue last week and that bothers me. He does have talent, but will need to put it all together to beat #2 tonight. Tough call.
4 WORTH THE MONEY AS Has worked his way down the class ladder, and seems more than overdue to wake back up. I can't guarantee it will come tonight, but it should in a field like this soon. New driver tonight. Maybe that helps.
5 AGRESTORES COMET I'm still mad that I missed the boat on this guy a few weeks ago. Ended up in a spot that was much too tough last time. This is back to reality, and he's got the perfect post. Expect a big late charge. Watch out!
6 REAL DJ HANOVER That was a bit of an erratic effort last time, as the favorite. Started to gap a bit, and then re-rallied late with some trot. However, he's forced back UP in class now, but for hot barn. Very mixed signals, but no price.
7 CASINO CUTIE IT Another that just did not fire last time on the cold and windy night. Prior effort was much better than that. So, I do expect the price will be okay. Didn't get Nap tonight, but still has chance if they mix it up.
8 HOT SUMMER KNIGHT Went a little more forward last time, so that could be the hint we were waiting for. Tonight's problem is the post. He looks like a slow starter, so totally at mercy of pace and trip. Will need a little luck too!
9 BIG EXPENSE Been battling his way down at Freehold lately. I do wonder if he's lost that winning habit? Got passed pretty easily last Friday on the cold day. Will Kyle send him? Wish I knew. That could be key to the race.
10 MARION MILLIONAIR Doesn't seem like a match for these right now, so I will simply just pass.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 ROUNDTOWN ROCKER Surprising choice by A Nap to take this guy over #2,10. Horse has been bouncing up and down the class ladder lately, with limited success. Is he really good enough to beat the likes of #5,6? I don't think so.
2 BEE IN CHARGE Turned in a very dull effort last week, so that has me worried. Also fact that A Nap bails. With that said, horse is dropping back down a notch and looks like the clear cut speed. Will go a long way, hang on for share.
3 DOWNUNDERMATTER He is good right now, but is this too high in class? The answer to that might be yes. Remember, it's all about pace and trip for him. He likes to close, so the inside post helps. Still looks like a longshot.
4 GOLDEN TATE Returns from Yonkers and gets Jordan back in bike tonight. Last time he drove, horse won! No, it wasn't here, but still. Horse does own a big upset win here too! It'll be up to pilot to put a good trip on him.
5 MONTALBANO BI Figured to have a tough time in that last spot and came from too far back. That will NOT be the case tonight. This spot is perfect. The post is ideal and if #6 has any issues again, this will be the one to beat.
6 ANOTHER CHAPTER No, I don't know what happened last time, but it certainly gives me pause. Won't offer a big price here, and I'll be taking a long look at him out on the track. Just to get a gauge if everything is okay.
7 PHAT STACKS Here's another one that will wake up soon. We're going to have to guess when, but it will probably come in a softer spot than this. I'm willing to wait a little while for the right spot.
8 SCIROCCO JAKOB Marcus had a choice and opted for this guy over #3. I can understand that. Horse really hasn't had a chance in last few tougher spots. Just tell me that he's firing out, and I'll tell you to use him. Can surprise these.
9 WAITING ON A WOMAN Ordinarily, this would be great spot on class drop, but tonight, I don't know. Wasn't Brett's choice. Also coming out of two races that were MUCH tougher. How does he get into the game, though?
10 CAN DO Honest horse here, but probably in a bad spot with the switch to post 10. I think I have to pass for now.

1 BRONZE OVER N Been stuck in some real tough spots lately, so I've been waiting for a return to the right level. This is probably it, but will have to deal with the sharpest mare at the track right now: Monica! Should be good battle. Adds L
2 SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR Also invading from Yonkers, where she woke up a little last time on the drop. This is additional drop, but believe me, this is NO easy spot. I can probably make a case to get close, but maybe not win.
3 SHESGOTTHEBEAT Second time Lasix. Up and down the class ladder lately, and with some success. If the faves were to somehow hook up for mayhem, I can make a case for this lass. Demand fair value, if you fancy. Worth a stab.
4 MONICA GALLAGHER Simply put, she's the sharpest horse at the track right now. Absolutely vicious good. She fits into this race on the lifetime earnings of less than $95K, like #6. I would have a tough time betting against at moment.
5 UF DRAGONS QUEEN Back to the level of her last win. I love the speed she's been showing, and she plots for a nice trip tonight. Loses the Nap to #4, but that was expected. Would love to see her get that follow trip. Will keep up late.
6 LADY OF HEAVEN Ordinarily, you would think this was perfect spot. But, in reality, it's not. Yes, she has raced against better in some very tough fields, but I don't know if she can rally past #4 right now. Will need a little luck for that.
7 PHYLLIS JEAN Also freshened up a bit, but I do believe it will take a softer spot to get Phyllis back in winner's circle. No worries. I'm patient. Willing to wait.
8 CHEYENNE ROBIN Not much luck for this mare lately. Between the scratch, the tough posts, etc. She IS good, however and I wouldn't talk you off her, if you wanted to bet. Overdue for just a touch of better fortune.
9 KEYSTONE RIPTIDE Yes, she did race a little better last time. Trainer told us she was sick on the 1/20 start. Tonight, her problem is the post. Is she going to blast? I'm going to guess no. Also, Brett opted to stick with #1. Your call?

1 GUESS WHOS BACK Gelding made a rare miscue last time, in the midst of getting a tough trip. Gets a big break with the pole post drawn tonight and he does have a chance. Plots for a nice trip, so let's see if he's good enough.
2 STORMONT WIZARD As previously stated, barn put on a clinic here last weekend. This might have been only one that didn't win! Is that a knock? Maybe. This is second try at reduced level. A Nap's choice of three. Adding Lasix.
3 YOU'RE MAJESTIC That was heck of a try last Friday on the very cold and windy night! And, horse had to need that after missing time. Might provide a better price option vs. #2. I'll take a swing and hop on board. Don't leave out.
4 CAULFIELD Also gets back into the game here, having drawn a decent post. He's knocked on the door, but hasn't found way to win one. Seems overdue. I guess I wouldn't be shocked by prime time effort here. Expect it!
5 WILDFLOWER Everything went her way last time, to set up the powerful rally and win. But, trust me, this field is a LOT tougher than that one. Would need a lot of luck again to sweep these. I don't know if she's this good.
6 FLEET BUMBLEBEE Not sure what's going on with this guy right now. Can't really like that last break. I would probably need to see a good one again, before I could endorse.
7 STEED Freshened up by barn, after some battles with sickness last fall. No worries. I liked what I saw in the qualifiers, but I do still have a feeling he might need one more. I'll add that A Nap didn't take here. That's a big call.
8 ALEXANDER HANOVER If you were searching for a live longshot in this bunch, I probably wouldn't talk you off this one. Doesn't get A Nap back, but does have versatile speed if pilot wants. I see a lot of "closers" in here. H'mm.
9 PIERCEWAVE HANOVER The only one in for a tag and it's somewhat enticing! Horse only raced 21 times last year, yet made over $50K. Why in for the tag? Let's see if that speed transitions to the mile track. That, I'm not sure about.

1 DRIVING MISS CRAZY Have to give her a pass for that last one. A tough trip on the cold and windy night. Different situation here. Has the rail. Gets A Nap tonight. Has enough speed to sit close. I can make a case for more here.
2 RUDDY RUSTY I don't know what to tell you here. Was surprisingly overbet in the last try here. Then shows a scratch. So, I'm wondering about current form. I guess I'd be surprised if he jumped up and won this. We'll see.
3 MAJESTIC SUNSET Been waiting for the right spot on this fella and this might be it! Marohn pretty much committed to #7, so that doesn't bother me. I like the post, and potential for some action in this race. It could easily work out.
4 BELL A CHICK This is a horse that will make you pull your hair out. Has ability, but only sometimes puts it all together. It's been a difficult task getting him back to the races, via scratch, ineligible. Owns one move. Might need this one.
5 MASSIVE LIGHTNING Got bet off the board last time and didn't get rolling until too late. Obviously, he needs the hopples. The post is ideal, and if there's any hot pace, it sets up his kick. I would have tough time leaving out.
6 MR LOVER On the slow and steady comeback trail. I don't think he's there yet, so I will pass one more time.
7 COMMENTARY Easily the "key" to the race, especially since he packs solid speed, and drops in class tonight. I'm not going to call him a "lock," but if he clears, and stays trotting, he'll probably win. Just don't expect any kind of price.
8 MASSACAIA Requalified after back-to-back breaks at Yonkers. So, why not try him here? I can understand that. This post certainly isn't going to help. Might have to race him from behind, just to see if he stays onstride. Your call?
9 DOC'S BOY Really hasn't delivered the goods here yet, and always seems to be a lower price than he should be. New driver tonight, so we'll see if that wakes him up a little. Demand fair value if you fancy his chances.
10 TROPICAL TRICE Likely longshot, in a bad spot with post 10. I don't see how she can overcome this. I will pass.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

1 A JERSEY CONTRACT One of the possibilities, in this hard-to-handicap race. Gets Jimmy for first time, and a pole position draw. The post will keep the gelding within range and anything can happen. Expect him to be in thick of it.
2 MISTRESS VALENTINE Fresh claim here, and that kind of caught me by surprise. Mare did hit the ticket, mostly by saving ground last time. Draws well, but I do think this could be a better bunch. Has something to prove here.
3 GWALLY This guy's been here before, and I guess he was having trouble with the turns up at Buffalo. No worries. Back to Club Med, but back into a tough spot. Since Brett chose, I don't know how big the price will be. Your call?
4 GONEINAPUFFOFSMOKE Is it wakeup call time yet? For the gelding coming back off the long layoff. Takes his first drop in class, which seems desperately needed. I won't play yet, but I'll be watching for the signs of life.
5 FIJI Outraced his odds, with a slick and sharp drive by Eric A last week. Yes, a few things did go his way, but the effort was there, and tonight, the price won't be. No 40-1 this week! But, I do expect to see similar speed. That helps.
6 KEEGAN HO Is this level too high for Ho? That is the question. I don't think so. I actually think he fits this bunch pretty well. Expect a more aggressive attempt in this spot, and a possible upset chance. It wouldn't shock me.
7 SOBORO HANOVER Tough trip at Freehold. Some bad posts, and rougher spots at Yonkers. Horse has won here before, so this could be another live longshot. Joe will put him in play somehow, and has chance to hit the ticket.
8 LINDY'S BEST YET A rare 12-1 winner I picked out last week. Benefited from a perfect and patient drive from Kyle. Unfortunately, horse and pilot are not "rewarded" with a bump up in class, and this terrible post. Have to go against.
9 GOLD MEDAL SWAN The Swan is always a little hard to gauge. Ya never know what you're going to get. This back-to-back post nine doesn't help. He'll have to find a way into it somehow and I can't guarantee smooth trip.

1 MORE THAN TALK I have no idea what's gone wrong with this guy, but simply put, he's not good right now. Have to watch for any equipment changes, or something like that. And, have to wait for renewed signs of life again.
1A MISSLAROSE The "power" part of this entry. Mare was very good in both wins, and I don't see any reason why she won't be right there again! Post is ideal and she can get the jump on Iron. Would be very hard to leave out.
2 MISS RUBY Off since October. Comeback qualifier was a little dull. I don't think she's ready for this yet.
3 FRONT STREET Wasn't that bad last time, to pick up the final check in weak field. This is a different kind of race, with a lot more power, so I don't know how that's going to work out. At least he stayed trotting. Step in right direction.
4 CHILI By this time of night, I'll be wishing I had a bowl of chili on the set! Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. This gelding has been freshened up. Looked a little tired in that qualifier, so I don't think he's primed, ready yet either.
5 IRON DOME What on earth happened last week? Horse broke! Was it too cold and windy? Who knows. BUT, I do expect a big bounce back from the hard-trying gelding. Will have to stick close to Rose to have a shot.
6 BROADWAY PROMISE Figured that this horse would need a race last time. And, he flashed just enough trot to make you take an extra look here. From post seven, I guess it's all about the start. If he trots out of there, watch out.
7 ACES AND EIGHTS I guess he just can't get around those turns at Yonkers. Ok. Let's try the big track instead. Was pretty good when we saw him here before. Bad post, though. Will he fire out? Or take back? I'm leaning towards the latter.

1 VEGAS IN STYLE I think we're looking at a short priced favorite here in the finale. If you just forgive the miscue at Freehold, she seems to stand out in this spot. Now, I know she disappointed us once, but maybe not tonight.
2 PURITY Not really sure what's going on here. She's tailed off a bit, but finds prime spot to regain form tonight. All she has to do is keep up behind #1. That trip alone will give her a chance. Good spot for the bounce back.
3 MOJARRA HANOVER Begins her slide back DOWN the class ladder, but it will take one more notch. Not yet.
4 HEAVENLY BET Not much going on over at Yonkers. But, you can understand that when you get bad posts. I can't really say I'm a fan of her overall record, but if she was ever going to wake back up, it's in spot like this. Usable.
5 MILADY DENVER A It's not often you get 10-1 on Brett Miller down at Freehold, but that was the case with this mare last week. Nice! He sticks aboard the 8YO, and we'll see if they get lucky again. This will be somewhat tougher.
6 BEAUTIFUL LADY Has worked her way steadily down the class ladder, so I almost feel some sort of wakeup is imminent. I do have to see a few signs, first. Haven't seen them yet. Let's watch for anything more.
7 HIPNUMBERONE Did a fairly good job of "keeping up" behind that runaway monster last time. Sometimes, that's all you need to do! But, don't you think she's getting a completely different kind of trip here? I do. Pass.
8 MISS DEFIANCE I know she finished third last week, but it was almost by default. In reality, she wasn't that great. Also moves to a much tougher post, so I can't be too positive about her tonight. Your call?
9 MISS BLING Final piece of the speed puzzle, because she almost HAS to fire out tonight. She won't be winning from last. Tired of chasing the likes of Monica Gallagher. This is significantly easier. A must use in this spot.
