1 GOLD MEDAL SWAN Finds his way back to NJ and back into Silva's barn. Had some decent success here over the summer, so let's look for a big bounce back to form. If not this week, then maybe next. Watch closely.
2 SONG OF THE VALLEY Down from the Spa off a scratch and series of flat efforts. This just looks too tough.
3 QUICK DEAL Hasn't had much luck yet this year, but is still in crafty hands. That last qualifier was okay and he was fine when the gate snapped. Just might be ready to surprise us and go a LONG way here. Consider at good price. Trainer: He was okay in his qualifier. Should be okay in the race as long as he minds his manners.
4 WHATNBLAZES Yannick had everything his own way last time with this 11YO, but they still ran out of gas late. Simply put, this field looks a lot tougher than last, so I have to go against. If he beats me, so be it.
5 KEYSTONE THOMAS The other 11YO in here is on the comeback trail and I don't think he's quite there yet. Just 1-16 on the campaign, so he's another longshot, in my opinion. Let's watch for any continued improvement.
6 STARSABOVEALLERAGE Has seven wins this year, including at least one here. Has clearly been facing lesser company recently, however. Coming off a tough trip when he was mostly parked out. Will need a much easier journey now.
7 CLIFTON BEACH Coming off one of his best efforts in a long time. Yes, he was a ridiculously short price, but I was impressed with his effort. The knock now, is that he's forced up in class. Should offer better odds this time. Trainer: Poor post may have plagued Cliff, but he seems to like the Big M and Marcus suits him well.
8 JS TROTTING BOB Another upstate NY shipper that appeared to work his way too high in class. Will the big track pick him up? Good question. Showed some decent races at Vernon. I guess I'd like to watch one here first.
9 P L ICABOD I know he's got only one win this year and it didn't come here, BUT this is a huge class drop to tackle a suspect bunch. Last time at a similar level, he strolled by the field late. Can probably do that again, despite post.
10 MASTER OF LAW Another on the BIG comeback trail and it was looking good until that last miscue! Was certainly going fast enough on the mile track at Lex, so that's why he's here again. Still a big risk, possibly at low price.

1 DIZZY RIZZY 10-time winner begins a very powerful entry for Surick here. Mare packs big time speed, and has a perfect partner in Pine, who rallies. It's going to be very tough to beat this pair, but don't expect much value.
1A PINE TAB Won his last "amatuer" event in style, and managed to win a couple here. Joe Lee hops in bike tonight and they should be in prime stalking position from this post. Doesn't make mistakes and that helps too!
2 PERMANENT JOY I don't usually seem to guess right on this 9YO, but I always take an extra look. Kriv figures to have him up close to the action and gelding "remembers" how to trot home once in a while. Not the worst stab in here.
3 SAM'S HONEYBEE The ancient Honeybee is still going strong at age 11! But, I don't think he's quite fast enough anymore, plus I have to point out that 1-31 record this year. A possibility underneath only, in my opinion.
4 LANDONFITZ Owns a couple of wins this year, at least one here that I remember. He is fast enough, on best day, and if I were searching for a live "price use" in here, this would be it. No mistakes, please. Stay trotting!
5 FIJI If any of these can knock off the entry, it's this fella. Has a touch of class to him, and he is fast enough. He is also versatile enough to do it either way. That last "tour" of the track will have him tuned up for this. Ready now! Trainer: Dave has been driving him well and fortunate enough to make the final. Seems to be racing well and had a good week.
6 WAR CRY HALL Jumps up with a big mile every once in a while, but he's a one-way closer. Will need somebody to soften up the entrymates and then he can come charging. I don't see a huge price. At mercy of pace and trip. Trainer: Fits good with these trotters, should be on his game tonight.
7 CELEBRITY STIMULUS Here's the key to the race! And I say that because he packs big speed if Glasser wants. Tends to get a little brave if he can coast along, but I just don't see that with #1 in here. Must save something for late.
8 AVENTURE Looks like a slow starter that's in a real bad spot out here. Has rounded into a bit of good form for owner/trainer/reiner, but they're not "rewarded" here. Will have a long way to come.
3 Third Race Entries
Picks: 2-3-1-4
H Horse Comment
1 MEAN LEEN Prepped for this with a decent effort against older last week. That trip over the track always helps, and she got lucky with the pole draw here. In line for a good trip, as they all line up behind #2. Should make final.
2 KISSIN IN THE SAND Wow! That's about the only word that aptly describes her mile in the Kindergarten. Trust me, it was cold out there and she was one tick off a track record. Since she drew inside, many of rest will be grabbing. Trainer: Very happy with last start. Tetrick will drive tonight, but I'm confident in both filly and driver.
3 STRONG OPINION First of the Burke pair has been chasing her stablemate for a while. Finally gets away from her, but probably just for a week. I like the speed she's shown, so let's stamp her ticket to the final with any smooth trip.
4 PUEBLO BLUE CHIP This lass debuts for Team Burke, and she was good enough to make the Crown final, before getting horrible post. Don't hold that against her. Doesn't exactly possess blast out speed, so at mercy of trip too!
5 ALEXA'S POWER It's been an up and down year for this lass. That lack of consistency hurts. A longshot again. Trainer: Raced good last time from the outside post and had a good week.
6 IM WITH HER Interesting invader for MacDonell. She rounded into form nicely, and also made the Crown final to pick up a check. From midpack post, we can expect her to wait for the flow. If it's live, she should come charging late.
7 ALDINE HANOVER Perhaps one of the "keys" to this race, because she packs major speed. I don't envision her just grabbing up here, but holes might be hard to come by early. If used too hard early, she does get tired. Tough call.
8 PYTHON BLUE CHIP Has certainly shown some talent and speed so far, but maybe not against the elite types, like #2. This post is simply a killer and I will probably have to go against. I can't see her getting a good trip, no matter what.
9 CUTS LIKE A KNIFE Another that's tried the best, and come up a bit short at times. Brutal post. No luck. Pass.
10 REIGN ON ME Bounced back nicely in the Kindergarten with a good burst of speed behind an uncatchable #2. For that strong effort, she's not exactly "rewarded" with this post. Wasn't Tetrick's choice. Might have to get lucky tonight.
4 Fourth Race Entries

1 PRINCE OF MINTO Took a shot with this invader last week and I can't say I like what I saw. Meets a similar tough group here, and I'd have to see a lot more, before I hop on board again. A lot to prove here on mile track.
2 SOUL TRAIN Jumped up with a nice win in a Billings event for Joe Lee, but the odds tell me that wasn't the strongest field ever. This is a brand new ballgame for the gelding and I think he's overmatched. A longshot.
3 NOT AFRAID Last week, Takter said he was still "a week away." I thought horse could have had more punch through the lane, so I still have my questions. Likely to go back to the speed strategy here, vs the 3YO. It might work.
4 SOUTH SIDE HANOVER Mare was a bit overused in the pace battle last time. Yes, I know that's her best weapon, but timing and trip are always critical here. She needs to make it easier on herself with maybe just one move. Has talent.
5 MASSIVE LIGHTNING Jumped up with a pretty big mile upon arrival. Most of barn's horses that night were live, but I will caution you that things set up perfectly for this fella and this is a BIG step up in class. Must prove it was no fluke!
6 WINWOOD SCOUT Been racing very well of late, but is still too high in class. I will be patient, wait for class drop.
7 BUFF Yannick simply took control of that bunch last week, but this gelding strode out strongly! That was BIG mile. The road to the lead here looks a little tougher, but this horse is razor sharp. Would be very hard to ignore.
8 TROPICAL STORM BI Moves from pole to post eight, so that's a problem. Coming off decent effort at Yonkers, where he just towed along, but willingly. I don't envision him blasting, so will need to get lucky to have a chance.
9 JAKE Faced some of the best sophomore trotters on the stakes trail this year. Recently added Lasix and it took a big effort to beat him at Hoosier. It's back to mile track now. I fully expect him to be the one to catch tonight. Trainer: Has been racing better now, feeling better. I think putting him on Lasix will help.
10 P L HERCULES Been a project horse for a while now. Hopples are on, and that follow up qualifier here last week was good. The post is what kills tonight. I think it's pilot's job just to get him around safely onstride. We'll see.
5 Fifth Race Entries
Picks: 4-8-7-3
H Horse Comment
1 VENUS DUHARAS One of Takter's five in here, and perhaps the least accomplished. She's been a notch below the best in several tries, so let's rate her a longshot, even on the rail. Will she be able to keep up late? I'm not sure.
2 SMOKE AND MIRRORS Had mixed results up in Canada and now finds her way back to home base for Nifty. Would it shock me if she made the final? No. Can we count on it? No. Will need both a smooth trip, and bigger kick.
3 PIRANHA FURY Nifty's other filly in here hasn't won a race yet this year and she's the only one in here w/o a mark. She's a closer, so this post is probably ideal. Will sit early and then wait for a flow. There could be one in here.
4 DAB HANOVER Unlike #3, this filly's main weapon is speed! I suspect she's working her way back from a bout of sickness, but I'd be willing to give her another shot. Could end up with a great trip. I hope she's right and ready!
5 SWING IT CATHY 1-11 on the campaign. Did well at the Red Mile, but what do we do with that Matron try and a break? I'm very wary of this filly right now, so I'll take a long look out on the track. If good, she'll flash speed.
6 BELLA GLOS Also broke down at Dover, so we have question marks here. Still has something to prove here.
7 SEVIYORUM Love this hard-trying filly! She's been good ALL season and I don't expect that to change. From this post, I wonder what Andy's plan will be, because she only needs to trot to make final. Watch for the big late kick. Trainer: Raced giant out of the 9-hole in Breeders Crown. Looking for that same type effort tonight.
8 BASQUIAT Did a lot of the dirty work in the Kindergarten final and wasn't exactly quitting. Speed is her weapon and she'll figure it out with stablemate #4 early. IF good tonight, then she'll be the one to catch and one to beat. Trainer: Raced okay last start. Needed that race, so expect her to be sharper.
9 LILY STRIDE Ya just never know what you're going to get from this lass, and she's still suffering from a case of the bad post blues right now. Hoping that they mix it up somehow, but pilot's job is simply to keep her trotting.
10 PLUNGE BLUE CHIP Can't fault that Matron score in any way! She blasted out and controlled them gate to wire, but trust me, it's not going to be THAT easy tonight. Only loss came with a tough trip at YR. May get tough trip here.
6 Sixth Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 INTRIGUED INTENDED Had a little too far to come, chasing #7 last week, but it was still good effort. Gets the same post in a race that could have a lot of action. That would definitely aid the cause, plus you get a betting partner too!
1A SHOW ME UP Probably had his chances ruined by the 10 post. I know he can leave, but there will be several leavers in here. Stamina also looks like an issue here. I have to prefer his closing partner.
2 ROCK TO GLORY Also got rolling too late last time. This horse does have ability and I still remember that 1:51 win here. Moves all the way inside to the rail, which makes for interesting strategy. Might have to be patient tonight.
3 ULTIMATE CREDIT Gave it a great try last week, simply put! Yes, the trip was ideal, but he offered top notch speed from a bad post. This is a better post. If you want a live longshot in here, this isn't the worst stab. Consider.
4 ENERGY SHAKES No real impact last week. Would need a lot more than that, so I have to rate a longshot.
5 FRANKIE BOY Eric A was very aggressive with Frankie last week and it worked out. Did go a couple of ticks slower than the fave here, and I do wonder if he'd be better in stalking mode, not pacesetting. Interesting tactics now. Trainer: Has been racing very sharp.
6 VICTORY AT LAST Dave Miller sailed this fella along at a quick clip last week and held off all but one. I can't say it'll be the same here, but demand fair value if you fancy. Doesn't win all that often.
7 STRATOCASTER Couldn't possibly have been more impressive last week. Brushed and crushed. Seems versatile enough to do it either way, so consider that. Won't offer a big price, but probably more than 6-5. Hard to ignore. Trainer: Looking for a little luck, seems good right now.
8 IMPRESSIVE ART A perfect and patient drive from Kyle got the money upon arrival. With that said, he started that race from the rail and this is now post eight. That's a terrible switch and they won't be that lucky again.
9 BIG STRETCH MARK Did a fairly good job of chasing #7 last week, but again, it's all about the post. Likely to be well back early, and unless you're planning for a speed duel, he'll likely have too far to come.
7 Seventh Race Entries

1 BEDROOMCONFESSIONS Arrives in pretty sharp form right now, plus notice the big time post relief. Remember, this is a prep for the TVG final next week, so don't be shocked by a sit-in trip, and shake loose late. Watch out next week.
2 NIKE FRANCO N Well, if you just throw out the Crown final, then this is the mare to beat. But, it's been three weeks since that race. Just how sharp can she be, for tonight's betting purposes. It's a tough decision to make.
3 DARLINONTHEBEACH Elected to scratch out of a qualifier here last week, so that worries me a little. Had been rounding into her best form quite nicely going into the Crown. On best day, of course she can beat these. Your call? Trainer: Raced great in last two starts and is really coming into form late in the season, having missed the early part due to sickness. Training really well.
4 BLUE MOON STRIDE Her form has fallen off a touch, leading up to the Crown. Finds her way back to the Med, where she's delivered big efforts before. In ideal post to just sit and wait. She will finish well, but from where?
5 WINDSUN GLORY Picked up checks in both the Crown elim and final, so she's no slouch either! I have to rate somebody in here a longshot, but she can blast or finish just as fast as any. Pretty sharp right now, and a price!
6 PURE COUNTRY The now two-time Crown champion just keeps showing up and delivering the goods! That was some kick she unleashed at Hoosier and now she lands tough post here. She'll be ready for next week, maybe not tonight. Trainer: First start back since the Breeders Crown. Feeling nice in training.
7 LADY SHADOW Yes, I hate to say it, but her stock has fallen a notch or two over past few stakes. However, if there is a perfect spot to bounce back and regain form, this is it! If they let her crawl on the lead, might be tough to catch.

1 FOURTH DIMENSION Picked a bad time to come up flat in the Crown final, but boy did he look great before that! With that said, I have to give him another chance. He's a big, strong colt that should flourish here. Must use. Trainer: Did not like the track at Hoosier. Has been training good after that and I expect a good effort.
2 HAT TRICK HABIT Was rolling along nicely through the grand circuit at the Red Mile and also picked a bad time to make a mistake in the Crown elim. Prime spot to bounce back here. A "sentimental" pick for late Freddy M.
3 MISSLE HILL It's been an up and down year for this colt. Making 11th start here with a lot to prove. Best asset tonight is the post, because he won't be used hard early. Pretty much just has to trot to make the final. He probably will.
4 KINDA LUCKY LINDY A lot to prove here, class-wise and I'm not sure he' up to the task. A longshot for me.
5 MET'S HALL No match for #1 in the Crown elim. Ran into a local beast in the final, but don't be too hard on this guy! Colt has been great since day one and I love the spot here. Andy will fire him out and then just let race develop.
6 TITO The classic "late bloomer" is over some sickness and was flat out vicious in the Kindergarten. This is finally the BIG test for class, against the likes of #1,5,7. I like his size and I think he's versatile too! Lots to like, if you fancy.
7 WOLFGANG Uncorked one big surge in the Matron to nail his stablemate. Showed some heart, and some ability before that too! Been campaigned smartly up to this point, so let's take a shot in last big stake. Will need speed.
8 BANKER TWENTYFIVE Aiming a bit high here, and didn't get lucky at the post draw. Will hope to make the final.
9 FASHIONWOODCHOPPER I loved some of his efforts here and then out at Lex. This is a very nice colt that also turned up flat at Hoosier. The qualifier last week was fine. He'll be coming from behind tonight, however. Trainer: A good, honest colt, in with a good group of colts.
10 MEADOWBRANCH RICKY The last of the longshots is clearly on the outside, peering in. Best chance to make the final might be if one of these miscues. Hasn't proven good enough to beat this kind yet.
9 Ninth Race Entries
Picks: 5-8-2-7
H Horse Comment
1 JENNY'S TERROR Looked like a handful behind the gate last week and made a mistake. I'll pass off that.
2 DW'SBLISSFULTHINKN Barn brought a few down last week and they were live! This mare had too far to come, but she finished with pace. This post is a lot better, and the price should still be right. I'd consider using here.
3 FANTICIPATION Somehow, someway, held on for Joe B, despite being "unsteerable" for most of the race. With that said, she's forced way up in class and I'd suggest that if you didn't go to the wedding, don't try the funeral.
4 PHYLLIS JEAN Finished up nicely behind #3, but still couldn't catch. For wagering purposes tonight, I don't think I want any of the mares out of that race. Just a feeling. We'll see if I'm right or not.
5 COLORFUL JASMINE Looking for a live price play? This mare could be it. She's gone some big miles here at Club Med before and I like the look of this spot. Plots for a very nice trip, with some speed stuck outside. Have to use her.
6 DANDY'S BEAUTY Here's another mare that could easily wake up in this spot. Drops a tick, Allowed into race on earnings over past two seasons. Likes the Med. I'm going to take a positive view here and consider at right value.
7 ROCK ME GENTLY Super sharp right now, so I can't argue with that. Draws between two of the main speeds, but hers is pretty good too! I suspect this will be tougher field to beat, but sharp horses are always dangerous. A maybe.
8 ABBIJADE HANOVER Chased a solid odds-on winner last week and did a good job of it. That foe isn't in here, so expect the uber-aggressive try again. Might be the one to catch, if #9 doesn't fire out. Has won here before.
9 MOSQUITO BLUE CHIP Very tough call here. Draws a bad post after a few inside starts. Did show the ability to leave on Oct. 13. There is a lot of other speed in here. It will be difficult for her to win from this spot. Your call, folks.
10 WHISKERSONKITTENS Suffering a good case of the bad post blues right now. Third straight bad slot and it's probably not going to work out this time either.
10 Tenth Race Entries
Picks: 10-9-4-8
H Horse Comment
1 DORSODURO HANOVER Hasn't won in a while, so that always worries me. Been playing second fiddle in the Burke barn, but he's not a bad colt. The rail is ideal for him, so all he has to do is sit and keep up. He likely will.
2 ROCK LIGHTS I think this is a very ambitious spot for a colt that appears overmatched. I will pass tonight.
3 CAPTAIN DEO Followed up his sharp win with a decent effort behind a more heralded stablemate in #9. Note the inside post here, but he's still got something to prove against other talented 2YO's. I need to see more, please.
4 NUTCRACKER SWEET Gotta hand it to a horse that's been solid since day one. He's still racing well, about to make 12th start of campaign. Just toss the Matron effort from terrible post. He'll be a LOT closer to the action tonight. Trainer: Raced great in the Matron. Was too far back turning for home.
5 FASHIONONTHEBEACH I have no idea what to do with this guy. Delivers top notch efforts on some nights, and then rather flat efforts on others. Sometimes with these colts, it's a guessing game. Demand a big price if you take a shot.
6 SPRINGSTEEN Turned things around in a BIG hurry after the private purchase. Simply overpowered the field at Pocono and then became a stakes winner at Dover. Is he really this good? I guess we're going to find out. Trainer: Had the horse since the Matron. Seems very happy and healthy. Trained well on Wednesday.
7 GRAND TETON Certainly one of the top colts all season. A little disappointing in the Crown final when he tired. Also, just a touch flat in the Kindergarten here. Is the long season taking its toll? I'm going to go with that. Your call?
8 CLOSING STATEMENT Has done a lot of chasing this season, but willingly. Plus, he does have a couple of wins too! These bad posts are just murdering chances. All the power is drawn outside in here. Could be interesting stragegy.
9 AMERICAN HISTORY Only three starts thus far, but he's yet to lose. I was very impressed by his "maturity" last week. Yannick started and stopped him couple times, but colt went on when asked. I guess he's the real deal.
10 LOST IN TIME Moves into the Takter barn tonight, after a disappointing Crown final. That move was planned all along. This is the colt with the most talent in here, in my opinion, but he does have something to prove. Post 10 too! Trainer: Have had him for just two weeks. Like him, but will need this race for sure. Also has bad post.
11 Eleventh Race Entries

H Horse Comment
1 INTERMIX Retains longshot status, having shown nothing in any recent race. Hard to like in here.
2 SO TAKE THAT Keeps taking tons of money at the windows and keeps disappointing. With that said, it'll probably be the same against this suspect bunch. I won't bet on him, but I'll wish you luck if you do.
3 DAVID'S DREAM Went from awesome to empty in a week. Sometimes that can happen with these bottom level pacers. If anything, this field looks weaker than that last one, so we have to give Dave another shot. Likely fave. Trainer: Didn't like being first up last week. Hopefully, he can get a good trip.
4 ALONEINSPADES Simply by process of elimination, this gelding has a shot in here. Fired out from the bad post and kept up mildly. Has a better starting slot here and might save some of that speed. Chance to get a bit closer.
5 FOUNDMYTREASURE Not a whole lot to recommend here. Would need a big form reversal to threaten.
6 WOODMERE ULTIMATE I'll give him a pass for last effort with tough trip from behind. Same post here, so let's hope for a better start and closer trip. Had a couple of decent efforts at Freehold. A big maybe in here.
7 MAJOR LEGACY Picked up the "nickel" in last two here at long odds. One of these nights he might get a little bit closer. Early speed does not appear to be a weapon, so he's at mercy of both pace and trip.
8 ALWAYS A DIAMOND Dave kind of put him in the game last week, but horse didn't have enough to get close. The Freehold efforts don't exactly stand out. This post is tougher. I've got more negatives than positives. Trainer: He was a lot better than what he has been. Needs a little "purple magic" from a tough post.
9 SWORD OFTHE SPIRIT He's a little bit faster than some of these, but also stuck with a terrible post and almost no early speed. How will pilot get him into the race? I wish I had the answer to that one. Your guess?
10 JUSTA CAMILION Did flash a little speed last week, but then had little left late. Gets the worst of the posts, so I really don't know what to tell you. Demand a fat price if you think he can overcome the post.

1 MADIBA MAGIC N Ends up higher in class, despite making a break last time. Still a longshot to me.
2 BRUCE'S MAGIC Can never count Bruce out. He's a fighter and usually gives his all. A smoother kind of trip would definitely give him a better chance, however. Let's use some of that speed to grab position. Price okay too!
3 CAPOZZO Class droppers like this are usually dangerous. Wasn't Super Brett's choice here, but does have some winning history. Gets a good post and might even offer fair value. All of those are positives.
4 MR BAILANDO Loomed boldly at another huge price last week. Raced a lot better than I expected on the hike up in class, and it's another hike up again. Still, sharp horses are dangerous and his post is better tonight. Consider.
5 MISTER TRUTH Tends to do his best work at a level lower than this. The midpack post probably suggests an off the pace journey coming and he would need a big mile just to threaten. I'm not counting on it for tonight.
6 TEXAS TERROR N One of the many eligible "droppers and poppers" in here. Gave it a great try here last week, showing that he can handle the mile track just as well. Seems overdue to get a win and I can see it coming.
7 ART HISTORY Found his way back to Club Med last week and was okay, not great. Maybe he needed that to get mile track stamina again. Took his mark here with a big mile. Wouldn't shock me if he jumped up and won this.
8 MORE DRAGON Was rebuffed in that qualifier and I can't say I liked what I saw from him late. With that said, he gets a tough post here, coming off some breaks. I think I'd need to see a good one again, before I could bet.
9 URBAN RENEWAL Up and down the class ladder lately over at Pocono. Some good efforts and some flat ones. Draws a terrible post here and doesn't appear to be a quick starter. That's probably not going to work out well.
10 EXPRESS STRIDE N Squeezes in for the condition by $10. Ended up with a nice trip last week, and dug in to earn the score. I did think he was all out, so I'll probably take a stand against due to post 10. Trainer: Had a good week after a solid race Saturday. He's a consistent horse.

1 CHARMBRO CURIOSITY Just toss that last try here, as he got parked out early and had no chance. Now, he's got the rail to go along with that speed. Plots for a potential easy trip and I could make a case at a big price. Hits ticket?
2 SISKEL Took a lot of money against a better bunch last week and weakened. It was aggressive steer and he mighit be able to slow it down against these. Don't expect much betting value on the drop. Clearly the one to beat in here.
3 HOPE FOR BADLANDS Been off for over a year. Qualifiers just okay, so I definitely think he'll need race or two.
4 DRUNKEN DESIRE A Shipped over and dropped to this level last time, but failed to deliver much in the way of a kick. Plus, we have to note the 0-28 record this year. With that said, I'll use underneath, but probably not on top.
5 ROYALE BIG GUY Always pay extra attention when this barn invades with one. They're finding a good spot, and drew ideal midpack post. Has paid nice prices before too! Would be very hard to leave out. Gives #2 a real tussle.
6 NOBLES FINESSE 8-time winner has a chance in here. Been towing along down at Freehold, probably to wait for this kind of class and spot. Now's his chance to step up and deliver one of those quality efforts. Don't be shocked.
7 ROLL N CATCH Tough to get a real gauge on his form right now. Turned in some big efforts here over the summer, so I'll expect a bounce back to form. Not a quick starter, so he will need a smooth trip to have rallying chance.
8 DANCIN HILL Still suffering the bad post blues, so I might have to prefer a few others. Did wake up a touch upon arrival, however. If he delivers another good mile, I'll give more consideration for next time.
9 WESTERN JOE Liked him last time and he uncorked a pretty good kick when free. BUT, it's a move from the pole start to post nine. That's not usually a recipe for success around here. Can Joe show some speed? I hope so.
10 TWINCREEKS JESSE Where's he going from post 10? After the long stride of inside starts, I'm going to guess that it won't be far. Jesse is definitely a longshot from way out here.
