1-Sam’s Triple Crown – Hard-trying, consistent gelding just missed to the classy Dude’s The Man while closing into a :54 back half, look for him to get off to a quicker start here

4-Sicily – Appears to have squandered a perfect two-hole ride @ Pocono last week, but arrives in top form & we may see him on the lead in this intriguing opener

7-Play The Field – Versatile gelding closed stoutly to just miss @ Pocono last out, took a mark of 1:51.2 here back 4-29 & would benefit from a hot pace

7-Shake It Off Lindy – Frank Antonacci back up plan to International Moni, was parked in the Goodtimes & still got a check behind his stablemate, solid back half of :55 here in the Stanley Dancer, trending in a positive direction & catches an iffy field

2-Sortie – Ranked third in the Hambo Winterbook Top Ten & has struggled with breaking issues, rebounded with the mile of his life in the qualifier, this colt has talent & maybe ready to focus on next weeks’ big prize

5-Giveitgasandgo – 2016 PASS champion has been pretty consistent, looked poised to step up on the mile track here fresh off an easy win in PA Allstars, now comes off a sick scratch & hasn’t raced in 20 days, still has a chance in a field of question marks

6-Bottom Deals – Launched a menacing move off a rated pace & just missed to a ground-saving Bruce’s Magic last week at 30-1, 4YO may be on the verge of another big effort

5-Bruce’s Magic – We pegged this one last week, Andrew McCarthy gave him a perfect steer & he barely outsprinted Bottom Deals & equaled his lifetime mark, threat to repeat

3-Mac’s Jackpot – 3YO gelding facing older foes off a decent fifth in the Meadowlands Pace, chance to work out a smooth stalking trip from another inside post

6-Maserati Seelster – Clearly needed his Big M debut after missing 29 days, prior form @ Hawthorne showed speed, so look for a more aggressive effort this time

4-Walks Of Life – Gelding has obviously cycled forward & paid off with a perfect second over trip & took a new mark of 1:52.2, fresh claim draws better

7-Twincreeks Jack – Was right there in the photo with Walks Of Life despite coming off a sick scratch, 8YO took a mark of 1:50.2 here this season, another fresh claim high in the win column

4-I’m A Big Deal – Chased a solid Takter favorite in Grand Teton in his Kindergarten opener, draws well to build on that, $300,000 first foal out of Big McDeal, 1:49. [$818,544]

5-Nutcracker Sweet – Brother to Sweet Lou & Bettor Sweet kicked home in :26 to romp in his opener here, then ran into a raging Wild Bill @ Harrah’s Philadelphia, Takter trainee is no doubt a serious colt

2-Babes Dig Me – Promising Team Alagna trainee has baby raced accordingly, flashed a :26.2, then went all the way in a well-controlled effort & draws inside, dam is a sister to Total Truth, 1:48.3 [$2,022,433]

4-Ariana G – Takter’s quest for a fourth straight Oaks & seventh overall appears in hand, her NJSS Final in 1:51.1 was stunning, great effort against the boys in the Beal, cruised over Magic Presto in the Del Miller & draws inside again, he sister All The Time won it last year

5-Fined Tuned Lady – Rock solid filly prepped perfectly for this serious confrontation with two straight wins, her latest a confident wire-to-wire here, chance to step it up another notch facing current standout

3-Dream Together – Lightly-raced Muscle Hill filly out of 2007 Oaks champion Danae shot home in a brisk :26.4 just behind the well-rated Fine Tuned Lady, needed the race & draws well with plenty of upside for a reputable trotting barn

2-Magic Presto – 2016 Goldsmith Maid winner finished a solid second to Ariana G with trot at both ends in the Del Miller, consistent filly looks primed from an inside post, Nifty Norman won the Oaks back-to-back with Personal Style & Bee A Magician

5-Overdraft Volo – Closed in to a :54.3 back half to finish second to the well-rated Feed Your Head, took a new mark in the Del Miller, Team Orange Crush have this filly on her toes

7-Feed Your Head – One of two live items in here for Team Takter, avenged her narrow loss to Overdraft Volo by stealing away on the lead & took a new mark in the Tompkins, certainly can’t dismiss here despite the more demanding post

3-More Dragon – Fresh off a gutsy narrow loss as the beaten favorite he gets to drop in class & draws a bit better, runner up to Bettor’s Edge in a 1:48.2 mile three starts back

1-Preparty – Steady Team Harmon gelding caught in some stretch traffic when the sprinting started last week, drops a notch & lands the pole again

6-Sippin On Suds – Getting some class relief after finishing behind More Dragon last week, rallied to a nice upset before that @ Pocono, makes second start for new barn

6-Southwind Hydro – Lightly-raced Muscle Hill colt has suddenly gotten his act together, regained confidence winning his latest qualifier, strong rally to hit the board at 65-1 in the Tompkins last week, continues to improve & this field looks ripe for the taking

7-What The Hill – 2016 Peter Haughton Memorial winner came back off a sick scratch with a solid qualifier, then barely outsprinted by Long Tom in the Dancer comeback, quality Burke trainee looks like the one to beat

5-Bill’s Man – Runner up to Devious Man in the EBC Final had to settle for third behind Walner in his Dancer division, acclimated now & time to step up with a stalking trip from a midpack draw

1A-Mach’s Beach Boy – 8YO has come around & showed his class with a quick start from post eight & outsprinted the pocket sitter Victorydaze Wilwin last week, these finals usually yield plenty of action, gets the repeat call despite post ten

3-Twincreek’s Jesse – Finally snapped his 2017 skid with further class relief & by switching to Andrew McCarthy & responded with a suddenly aggressive effort as the favorite, may be the one to knock off again

5-Quality Bud – 0 for 17 this season, but hard to argue with his last two efforts, just missed a big upset two starts back, then came right back with a gutsy second to Twincreeks Jesse despite missing three weeks

6-Mel Mara – Decisive 1:48 winner here back on June 17 just missed in the Ben Franklin, one of many who had no chance in the Haughton as the beaten favorite from the second tier, big chance to reassert himself

4-Bettor’s Edge – 8YO warhorse vaulted past the $2 million mark given a great drive by Scott Zeron to finish third in the Haughton, gutsy 1:48.2 winner here three starts back in top form & can do it either way

5-Wakizashi Hanover – Classy 2015 NA Cup winner has abruptly come to life with two straight blowouts, tripped out to a sharp career best of 1:47.3 here three weeks ago

2-Stakeout – 4YO has hit the board in all three starts here, huge parked out efforts in his first two, then swerved around a late breaker & just missed to Yo Apollo Creed, chance to turn the tables from an inside post

3-Art Miami – Twice beaten favorite since winning his debut, 3YO with plenty of upside draws better & figures to be with closer striking range

4-Yo Apollo Creed – Just as we jumped off his bandwagon he tripped out & delivered the knockout punch at 15-1, lightly-raced gelding continues to improve with another inside draw
