RACE 1

7-Hudsonandbernard – Joe Holloway certainly has this student going in the right direction, his last two show vast improvement & just missed an upset in a furious :26.2 last week

6-Stolen Glimpse – Brushed to the front in a fast pace & held on for a mild upset two starts back, forgive the gate miscue last out, can bounce back with major upside for Team Burke

1-Winning Linc – Tony Alagna barn has unleashed a slew of bright prospects, this one’s qualifiers were energetic, his latest chasing Boston Red Rocks, ready from the rail

RACE 2

3-Canepa Hanover – 2015 NJSS champion reverted back to his frequent breaking issues after going parked out as the heavy favorite at Pocono, yet always seems to bounce back for Takter with his top level talent

1-Wings Of Royalty – 2015 Hambletonian finalist, dominated NYSS & MASS circuit, made it two-for-two on the comeback trail by gunning down an ambitious Pinkman in an eye-catching 1:51.4

6-Crazshana – Steady gelding for Team Bamond tripped out to go by the classy Market Share in his second qualifier, his tactical speed puts him in play

RACE 3

6-Jacksrluckytoo – Rallied to hit the board with his usual late vigor into a :53.4 back half last week, there’s plenty of inside speed to ensure a target for him to shoot at & the price may be right

1-American Passport – Grand Circuit winner in 1:51.4 as a freshman leads the two Team Alagna heavyweights in this intriguing match up, won his latest qualifier in :25.3, but how hard does he go with much bigger fish to fry down the road?

7-Pansformative – Returned to the Big M with a brave, uncovered mile into a :54.1 back half, while chasing a Burke standout Hawk’s Red Chief, remains a serious contender despite a tougher post

RACE 4

5-Pretty Boy Hill – More Alagna heavy artillery on display here, Metro & Breeders Crown finalist has two narrow losses on Lasix, the latest against standout Missile J in a wicked :26.2, chance to stop his 0 for 15 skid

4-Highlandbeachycove – Added Lasix & was able to dominate his division after a :55.4 half, another Team Alagna bullet with high level potential

2-Readysetletsroll – Acclimated immediately by going all the way to break his maiden for Team Burke, then ran into a wrapped up Highlandbeachcove, moves inside that rival, will be stalking & looking to improve further

RACE 5

6-Blue Moon Stride – 2015 NJSS champion, shuffled & then completely blocked in the stretch of her sophomore comeback, needed the race, qualifiers were strong

3-Show Time Hill – Finished second by a neck to Blue Moon Stride in last year’s NJSS Final, gained a board spot with a noteworthy :26.1 in her return for Team Alagna & draws better

8-Rocknroll Vision – Interesting Mohawk shipper picked up her game in her last two up north, breaking her maiden, then just missed with a mighty surge

RACE 6

6-Crazy Wow – Posted a million dollar sophomore season for Team Burke, capped off by dominant score in the Matron, qualifiers were excellent, no factor in his comeback in the Elitlopp Playoff, however he figures to be ready to bear down now

3-Pinkman – The 2015 Trotter of the Year & Hambletonian hero really went for it & got nosed out in his seasonal debut, still a useful tightener, last year’s richest trotter with a 17 for 26 record can’t be denied very long

5-Musical Rhythm – One of two invaders in this field with a perfect nine-for-nine record, swept the General Brock & Don Mills series, $33,000 Harrisburg buy going for 12 in a row & might be this good

RACE 7

5-Melmerby Beach – Won four of five starts here at one point last Summer & took a mark of 1:47.3, just one for 14 this season, but may have signaled a wake up with that late surge to hit the ticket at Pocono

2-Ashley’s Husband – Gutsy gelding simply tipped first over, wore down Art History & drew clear to equal his lifetime mark of 1:50 in a dazzling effort last week, big chance to follow up from post two

3-Art History – Got back in the winning groove with that dominant air out mission in 1:49.4, but had no excuse last week as the even money favorite, classy gelding with quite a history here can rebound

RACE 8

1-In The Arsenal – 2015 Pace elimination & Art Rooney winner qualified with zeal, obviously needed his first start back chasing Always B Miki & will have ample speed to stalk here

4-Rockin Ron – Was able to get the jump on Wiggle It Jiggleit to win the Confederation Cup in a track record 1:50.1 on a chilly night, 11-for-11 since the Burke acquisition, undefeated this season & looks formidable

7-Split The House – NJ Classic upsetter in his only starts here last season, added Lasix & beat the red-hot Hawk’s Red Chief in a strong comeback at Harrah’s Philly, expecting him to fire off the wings

RACE 9

6-Prince Pinang – Gelding is on a roll right now, just missed to the favorite Backdraft Hanover with pace at both ends last week

5-Stormin Rustler – 12YO horse-for-the-course driven perfectly to another nose decision by Greg Merton, one of the few bright spots in this mix bag

7-Buckeye In Charge – O for 13 in 2015 & just one for his last 40, yet he comes off a solid third from post ten & just missed to Prince Pinang on 4-23

RACE 10

2-City Hall – Has been doing all he can against superior foes in his last two, 1:48.2 winner here in 2015 blew away slightly better on 4-30 in 1:50.2, seems to have the upper hand in this one from post two

3-Hope For Badlands – Won is last start with a wide, vicious rally back on 3-19, freshened with a couple of months off & beat the great mare Anndrovette with :25.3 in a sharp qualifier

7-Martini Hanover – Gelding continues his descent down the class ladder, first over into a :54.4 back half last out, 1:49.4 winner here last season could be turning a corner & can rally with the best of them

RACE 11

3-Boston Red Rocks – 2015 Dan Patch Award winner rated #1 on the Road to the Meadowlands Pace, qualifiers were surperb, the latest was vicious, all systems go

6-Katies Rocker – Gelding capped off his freshman campaign with a second to Boston Red Rocks in the Governor’s Cup, qualifiers were strong, the second one with a :25.4 sprinting with American Passport

1-Ideal Rocky – Rallied to upset Boston Red Rocks in the 2015 NJSS Final & enjoyed a successful freshman season, qualifiers were super with a :26.2 and then a :25.2 here, obviously he’s ready for war

RACE 12

6-Southwind Indy – Ran into a raging 1:49.4 Hawk’s Red Chief last week, now drops significantly & responded to aggressive handling back on 4-16

4-Beat The Drum – Makes his third start off the bench after prepping well in Florida, gets class & post relief & faces a field in which nothing jumps out at you

7-Im Supersonic A – Aussie import hasn’t been strong in the win column, yet competitive enough, drops again slightly after trying it on the engine in a useful acclimating mile here
