RACE 1

6-Crocadile Canyon – After a couple of tough trips this gelding not only got back in the win column, but went down the road in a career best 1:50.3, expect another send fresh off another claim

1A-Shaving Mug – Pulled off the 20-1 upset & took a new mark by taking advantage of a live cover trip behind Heza Buckeye & kicked home in a sharp :26.4, draws inside for the repeat attempt in a competitive final

8-Stormin Rustler – Nailed him last week when he rallied to a mild upset, classy 11YO lands outside, but remains on his game & can vault off the expected lively action

RACE 2

4-World Cup – Drops out of the Open Handicap & was racing well against the top guns, slips under the money cap by just $20 & draws well in what looks like a tailor made spot

9-Tag Up And Go – This gelding flashed sudden speed, controlled the pace & just missed to the big favorite Propulsion, we’ll likely see how far he can go on the engine again

5-Detroit Rapper – 4YO has caught fire at the bottom condition rung with two straight wins, the latest from post ten, plus a career best 1:52.4 before that with a :26.4, he may be up this serious test for class

RACE 3

3-OK Gorgeous – 4YO gelding tried to close from an impossible spot again with a quality :26.2, moves inside & remains at the reduced level, so could outclass this camera-shy bunch

4-Up Up And Out – Got roughed up & parked out through a torrid pace & still held fourth last week, too far back as the beaten favorite before that & draws well again

10-Rocknroll Reality – Was forced to endure a game grind into demanding fractions last week, it appears his best is one late move, yet he has a tall order from post ten

RACE 4

5-Master Of Law – Tossed in a clunker after shipping back off a thunderous win at Mohawk, count on Takter to right the ship & Super Brett to have him in striking range

7-Obrigado – Last week’s beaten favorite was pace compromised & caught out of position, he’s obviously more effective when involved in the action, expect more aggressive handling

1-Melady’s Monet – Gelding was on a roll here earlier this season & reignited his winning form in the Yonkers Open with two straight wins from outside posts, has the inside advantage here in an intriguing field load with possibilities

RACE 5

1A-That’s My Opinion – Added Lasix, tipped wide & was outsprinted by Smart Rokker, 4YO has come around for Team Orange Crush, tough post eight draw, yet part of a solid entry

8-David’s Dream – Flaunted his class & dominated his division in a career best 1:50.1 for Team Burke, post nine again, yet this gelding is clearly revved up at this bottom level

9-Smart Rokker – Pulled off a class drop n pop & rallied for a new mark of 1:51 in the process, was facing much tougher, lacks early speed & needs to find a way to overcome post ten

RACE 6

7-Wild Honey – Very consistent filly was pace compromised by the :57 half in the Del Miller, fresh off a bang-up second to Mission Brief in the Zweig & needed her last two, Takter won this final last year with Lifetime Pursuit in a world record 1:50.4

8-Smokinmombo – Explosive Matter filly has blossomed into a dominant force in PASS this season, ships in off a wire-to-wire win at The Meadows over the favorite Sarcy, second to Wild Honey before that & may be the controlling speed in here

4-Smexi – The other Takter-tuned filly in here has done her share of damage in PA this season, forgive the early miscue last out, draws well to employ her aggressive style

RACE 7

6-Livininthefastlane – Beaten favorite in the Del Miller came up just a length shy with a gallant effort for Team Orange Crush, talented filly figures to vault forward off that encouraging performance

2-Sarcy – Well-bred Takter trainee out an Oaks champion Southwind Allaire tuned up with a second to Smokinmombo, who stole a :58 half at The Meadows, lands a perfect post to take charge of this elimination

8-Spirit To Win – Saved ground & shook loose with a late lunge to pull off the Del Miller shocker in a career best 1:52 & trainer Dustin Jones wasn’t surprised by that mile, continues to ramp up her game for another big one from a more challenging post

RACE 8

5-Color’s A Virgin – 2014 Dan Patch Award winner has been the victim of bad racing luck recently, had no chance from post eight in the Golden Girls, got torched in the Roses Are Red, makes her second start here for Tony O’Sullivan with upset potential

4-Radar Contact – Lost another heartbreaker last week when she was forced to grind it out through a hot pace, obviously she’s as sharp as any in here & another good post gives her a chance for a better trip in a wide-open field

3-Anndrovette – Gutsy four-time Dan Patch Award winner turned it around quickly with a lively, added-distance shocker from post ten in the Golden Girls, rewarded with an inside draw & we’ll see if she can stay on her toes with the Lady Liberty next week

RACE 9

10-Thinking Out Loud – 2013 US Pacing Championship upsetter rated the pace & came up short again last week, soon to be double millionaire continues his decent down the class ladder & post ten complicates matters

8-Mister Virgin – Recent claim went on a speed mission & paid the price on 7-11, then ran into a 1:48 blowout winner in Capozzo, drops into more like spot, but the 11 seconds this season is a concern

6-My Name Is Sam – Sub 1:50 performer here this season makes his second start off a sick scratch, getting some class relief like several others in this intriguing late-night puzzle

RACE 10

5-Melmerby Beach – 4YO has been sensational in all four starts here, coming away with a 1:47.3 mark, took a few weeks off after another gutsy nose win in 1:48.1, relentless son of Somebeachsomewhere is tough to go against

8-Doctor Butch – Loves this oval, strong in the win column & employs an effective stalking style, look for him to fire out for position, then use his late kick to polish it off

6-Odds On Equuleus – Taking full advantage of some class relief this Tony Alagna-trained 5YO has regained his edge with two straight lifetime marks of 1:47.4 and 1:47.3, may be difficult to overhaul in current form despite the class hike

RACE 11

5-State Treasurer – Obviously his slow start from post eight cost him any chance in the Haughton, yet he still rocketed home in :25.2 to just miss, has been one of the more consistent free for allers this season & also owns a relentless quality

6-JK Endofanera – Also contributed to the Mach It So upset in the Haughton with a tardy beginning of his own, makes his third start off the bench in the Takter barn, expect more use of the accelerator pedal here

1-Doo Wop Hanover – Badly beaten even money favorite in the Haughton was inexplicably dull after sweeping the Graduate, how much will he be able to bounce back from the rail?

RACE 12

8-Calvin B – Launched a menacing late move & just missed to the 1:49 winner Art History in :26 flat, a sharp winner here back on 6-20 on a form spree for Heidi Rohr

5-Bettor Than You – Dips back a notch on the condition ladder after failing to get involved from post nine behind Calvin B, look for this Burke trainee to be up closer to the pace or may even try to cut it himself

3-Grab Your Keys – 10YO gathers attention here based on the class & post relief factors, plus his record of success at this oval, may be worth the price

RACE 13

7-Mister Truth – Two starts back he finished third to Melmerby Beach, one of the favorites in tonight’s Open, hasn’t race since getting parked on July 8, but this is a class plummet supreme

4-Well Bred – Lightly-raced 3YO gelding may be over his breaking issues, qualified behind Mcwicked & Schnittker hands the lines to Tetrick, who was listed on the early entries

6-Sir Jake’s Z Tam – Was a hard-charging third in :26.4 from a similar post two starts back, drops back to the bottom level & finds a field riddled with question marks
